"This is an attempt to collect a debt" Blah blah blah
They threatened to garnishment my wages
They Told me that I needed to make a HUGE down payment... (800 BUCKS! WTF)

OH YEAH I DID MY RESEARCH ALRIGHT!

I fixed my credit, stopped the garnishment process, got my collection fees waived,
and went back to school :)))))
I LOVE THE INTERNET...
I bought some book called "The Student Loan Blue print"

Guess what my minimum monthly payments ended up being??? 55 bucks pshhhhhhhh
They told me i had to pay 200 bucks a month... LIARS!!

If you have a Fed. Student Loan in default I Would Urge you to check out this website...

DCS student loan collection.
Apparently these "classy" well-trained, guard dogs, will bark up the wrong tree.
My uncle has a student loan from 20 years ago.  Im the lucky chap that has the same name as my dead beat uncle.  So "John davis" the collector thinks i'm lieing... He thinks im just denying that Im my uncle.  WE HAVE THE SAME FREAKEN NAME!!! Anyways... These guys will call and call until a person might need therapy.  I CANT SLEEP WITH OUT THEM CALLING.  So i decided to help my uncle take care of this matter for good.  Of course my recommendation and any professional will tell you "Its always best to make payments!" but its always best to know your options before negotiating with these "Classy" Collectors.  Heres a website I found that some "Student Loan collector" Made... Hes a collector so i still hate him, but personally I think this is the first time some one actually came out the laid out the rules on the table.  Its a mystery as to why this type of thing isn't more accessible.

these people called my neighbor saying that it was a long distance call and asking questions about me, she told them all she knew about me was that i am her neighbor, he left his name and phone # as CHRIS CAMPBELL 325-224-6737
so i took this info googled it and it brought me to this site, as i read before my neighbors # is unlisted but when asked how they got it, they told her off the internet.... nothing in this world is private anymore... and it is bullsh*t that they can harrass your neighbors in this manner

Received a call, caller identified himself as Chris Campbell, not rude but very evasive, asking about someone who he claims was (very loosley) associated with our organization 15+ years ago.  He left the number 325-224-6737.  There's 5 minutes of my life wasted that I won't get back...

The Sleezoids Just Called my neighbor ( a  business) claiming i work there ( i dont) and demanded to garnish my wages, and had the balls to claim i was getting paid under the table (which im not). What the hell to harrass a business about garnishing when A.) idont work there B.) never filled out a w-2 FOR THE PLACE. How low will they go?

Received call form 888-335-6267 some Diane called asking if I still worked for a former employer of mine.  That it was imperative I get ahold of her before the end of the day. These people just don't stop

These people are relentless, rude and disgusting. They don't realize when a person is unemployed and things are hard that you have to pay rent and try to maintain. That the last thing on your mind is to pay them... And why I don't get is this is a job not your money!  Get a grip

they are using a skiptrace program that gives them addresses and phones for all neighbors for few miles. common if person has moved or wont answer calls. very effective in getting calls back when neighbors are telling you they called

FYI People they are legit Loan collectors. I called the Dept of Education directly to ask before dealing with them Now I can finally get this crap paid and off my credit and the payments are pretty reasonable

I have received harassing phone calls from a Mr, Chris Campbell.  He has called my family members and as even gone so far to call and harass my neighbor's.  This is very uncalled for and unprofessional.

Person called today.  Said his name was Isiah Crow, looking for my ex-husband.  I asked him what it related to, and he said he wanted to "relay some information".

Calls have come from Brandon Matthews.  He says he's with PRI and won't tell me what the letters stand for or anything else about the company.  He asks for Pete, my husband.  He's looking for information about someone else.  I told him I would give Pete the callback number, 888-335-6267, but not to hold his breath, as Pete feels the same way I do about giving information to strangers who won't identify their companies.  When I look the number up, it is identified as DCS (Diversified Collection Services).  The man who calls himself Brandon Matthews said he would continue to call until he got a response.

I got a call from a man named lance Matthews he said he was with a company called PRI he left the number 888-335-6267. he was lookin for my mom but she does live here anymore and he starts asking question about how to get intouch with her and where she is now I said ill deliver his message and hung up

Got the call yesterday from a Chris, now today from a man named Isaiah Crowe. They ask for my husband and I tell them he's not here because they always call when he's not home. The men were not rude or mean but I had no clue who they were, figured it was collections. My husband and I both have student loans but were defrauded by the online university we were studying with and are having one heck of a time getting them to fix the issue. After reading this site, I now have a better understanding of how I will be dealing with these calls though.

this guy named Lance Mathew from Grand Rapids Mi called and asked for a family memember, he was told "sorry may i take a message" the mans voice changed to a more happier tone and said "Oh umm can you?, was told yesss..... thats when the "Red Fllag went up" the call seemed strange,The caller sounded somewhat new on the job and said he was needing to get in contact,wouldnt say why.

These people keep harrasing my ELDERLY father with calls - of course he doesn't have a student loan!!  We handled this 6 months ago and now they are starting to call again.  Very rude people.  They claim it's a company called PRI but won't tell us who they are and what they want.  Obviously they have the wrong person and we told them that previously.  They will get reported to the BBB for harrassment.

They keep calling my business number looking for one of the owners.  ALEXIS is her name.  Sometimes she'll call and act like he's a friend of hers.  Now she keeps calling and says "he's gonna want to talk to me."  She asks why he hasn't returned her calls, as if I'm keeping him from her.    I don't think she should keep calling the business line and harassing me.  I have nothing to do w it.
