- MistyThis is ATT calling to sell U-Verse. I had ordered it, but they never came out to install after 6 verification call numbers.
- Caller: A T T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnonymousThis number has called our house several times. Since it only comes up as 'Toll Free Call' on the Caller ID we let our answering machine take the call.
Today (December 1, 2011) they called at 2:45pm (CST). I decided to find out who it was and what they wanted so I answered it. I said, "Hello" about 3-4 times getting louder each time since I knew it was probably a computer. No one ever came on the line and after saying, "Hello" a few times I finally heard a click and nothing was there.
When the call disconnected I decided to call it back. It rang about 1 time and then a recording came on that said, "Thank you for calling AT&T."
NEWS FLASH AT&T:
Your little telemarketing scheme might actually work if you bothered to SAY SOMETHING when the person you're calling answers the phone!! I think I speak for everyone else when I say I DON'T appreciate being harassed by all these "dead air" phone calls!! Either have someone on the other end when I answer the phone or DON'T CALL AT ALL!!- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- 888-419-9409I am called by this number at least 3 time a day and it is very annoying. I do not answer any of their calls
- joy dolceDec. 20, 2011.........multiple calls, no message, beyond annoying at this point. There must be something that can be done.
- Caller: allegedly AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- tiredofDNClistI am getting calls, too, from this number. I have found out after years of making complaints, the DNC list is a joke and nothing is administered and complaints go ignored. I found an old less then $10 device that let's me block up to 100 unwanted calls. (Rings once and tells them you are not accepting their calls.) That has helped a lot. Also, I went into the privacy options with a bank that I currently do buisness with and elected to have no one contact me for anything. It took about a month, but eliminated 100's (no exaggeration) of unwanted calls from their 'partners' that spoof the bank's name). Try that with any vendors you do business with and tell them you don't want to be contacted. These things have worked out better than the DNC list which does nothing to help me.

- Kathleen harrisCalls numerous times per day. No one ever on the line.
- Caller: Unknown caller on ID
- gotcallsNo message. Just another interruption and violation of the Do Not Call registry.
- Caller: Toll Free
- PersistantKeep getting calls. All hours. Not gong to answer and hope they will go away, get busted or something.
- Tired of these calls replies to jackRead what's in the link you provided: "...calls not covered by the TSR – including those from politicians, banks, telephone carriers, and most charitable organizations – are not covered by the new prohibition."
Last time I checked, AT&T is a telephone carrier, and is thus exempt.
The standard "defense" (limited as it is), is to tie up the caller by following menu prompts to be connected to a live person, and then setting the phone down (on mute works wonders for them). - hankwatersthey called 5pm friday and 10am saturday. When I do pick up and they say they're from ATT I hang up. I took a call from them a few weeks ago and was online so I went to the ATT site and told the guy that the 130 channels he said I could get I would watch 4 of them. Then he tried to tell me about the music channels. I said I would never listen to the music on my TV. He wouldn't give up. After 10 minutes I said, "look I'm not interested" and hung up.
- Caller: ATT

- nancy wallB8V8i am on the DNC list and i get calls from this number at least 7-10 times a day

- NormanAll you need do is call the number to find out that it is AT&T calling about their U-Verse product.
- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- NormanI'm surprised (and dismayed) at all the comments on this board complaining about calls from this number, that say "I don't know who was calling but....", I simply pressed redial and received a message that the call was from AT&T calling about U-Verse products and services. As an AT&T customer, they are entitled to contact me within their own privacy guidelines, so no complaint about my being on the national do not call list. This database is helpful to find out who is calling, when the caller Id is useless (TOLL FREE CALLER), but people, please do not waste everyone else's time by complaining without providing any useful information. If you don't have enough sense to try calling the number back, you shouldn't be posting here.

- AnonymousGet these calls every night. I searched online and found this to be AT&T. I hate how AT&T nickle and dime me so I wouldnt buy one extra service from them. Stop trying to sell me stuff I do not want.
I usually don't answer but decided to give thme a piece of thir own annoying medicine. These robocalls are voice activated so I pick up and put the phone near the tv or radio. A person comes online and keeps saying "hello." They get frustrated and hang up. Best laugh I had tonight. Try it. It is fun.- Caller: AT&T
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JeanieThis caller is AT&T. Trying to sell you a serve. U-verse. All companies calling to try to sell you a serve or charities should be made to have to display the name of caller who is calling your home, cell or business. They are looking for ways to get around the no call list in place. I do not pay for my phone serve so I can be hassled in my own home.
- Caller: AT&T

- CarolI have been receiving up to three calls a day. No msg. & I would not pick up. I complained to AT&T, asking them to research the phone number numerous times. One rep even told me that they were lots of complaints listed, but she did not know who was calling. Finally, I decided to answer the phong to find out who was calling and ...... it was AT&T calling from Canada to push their product. AT&T's only reply was to put me on their own do not call list which is separate from the Nation DNC list. This Company should be taken to court.
- Caller: AT&T

- jmgI get a fax tone from this caller multiple times a day at all hours. This should be illegal. If it is AT&T it is time to end our relationship. I wil to to another carrier. How stupid are they?
