Strange people callinf from this number. Very unprofessional.  Bully tactics, etc...

The company is transworld incorporation.  I always get the same lady paulette legete...they are very harassing about attempting a debt of student loans, I mean multiple calls a day on cell and at work!  I knew I was in default so answered and everytime it takes a good half hr call (1 hr 1st time!)they pinch 4every last bit of information. Even got access to my irs info. Also getting automatic withdrawls every month and still harassing me bc i wont fax a form or click something on computer...they will not mail anything seems strange. Hoping its legit for my own sake:/

Got a call from this number and the lady wanted to me verify my Name, Number and DOB. I then asked her who was calling and she kept saying that it was a personal matter and could say until the information was verified. I hung up on them and called back and a Receptionist answered and I told her that I had received a call from this number and wanted my number removed from their data base. She asked me for the number and said that it had been taken off and that it will take 24 to 48 hrs.

Got a call from a person who did not want to identify her self. After asking her 3 times, she told me the name of a company that does not exist (trans world something) and then rudely said that she wanted to know if i knew the person she was calling, but did not want to tell what the call was about. So I hung up the phone, as I could easly tell this was a scam.

This phone number keeps calling me and it is rather annoying. I know I owe no loans of any kind since I get my schooling paid through the VA. I also know I don't have any debts, because I paid them all off.

I looked up that page about student loan debt but all it has is a bunch of third party links.  Got any other recommendations?

Do NOT call these people back and do not answer your phone if you don't know the number!

Now this collection agency is calling and leaving messages pretending it is " to lower your credit card interest rate" or " you have qualified for a free home security system." I never called them back because I already KNOW that trick.

This collection agency trick is that they call you and act as if they are offering you something, then they want you to call back and give them your information " to be removed" from the list, supposedly. You then give confirm information so you can be supposedly removed from their"list" WRONG.Then they bother you mercilessly if you give them your information. Don't give them anything and don't confirm anything. DO NOT call them back.

Report them to your State Atty General and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Trust me - even if you are NOT the person they are trying to call, they will still keep calling you and bothering you because they just want to bother someone. Take action against them.

They robocall constantly, call and hang up leaving no message, or call and leave stupid messages saying they want to lower the interest rate on my credit card or give me a free home security system. Yeah, sure. Jerks.
