I got a call from this number I told the person calling that I would rather call TD locally and check to see if this is a legit call. She hung up at that point on me.  my bank said it is not legit and DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE!

This number is just bs, or they have the wrong number. They've called me a few times asking for Brent Williamson. I don't know who that is nor am I him. I'm not even with that bank lol, and this is a fresh phone number.

It is not TDCT, I asked at the branch and was told no one calls even if you have missed a payment, like when you have insufficient funds, they just try again a few days or weeks later and will charge extra interest. Payments are missed so often that they don't have the manpower to call everyone. Only after you have missed several payments will they take action.

The bank is not allowed to call you in any circumstances and discuss matter unless in special circumstances like a breach of account or a verified balance check. Other than that you will be contacted by mail 99% of the time. Are you stupid? Also collecting agencies have been slowly regressed of their ability to contact you on personal lines. So no. This number is a scam, if you owe money the most common time you will be reminded is when you meet face to face with a bank teller.

Well, if you look at the fact that you are replying to a post made in 2010 and expecting someone to come back to see your reply 9 years later, maybe you should look in the mirror and ask that question.

I've been getting calls from this number and I have no accounts with TD Bank.

If this is a legitimate call from TD, then why do they not identify themselves on the Caller ID?
That is a huge problem with all the scam callers out there.
If a number can be found someone on a TD website or call directory, and the call display clearly identified the caller as some branch of TD, then people would be more inclined to answer these calls.
I for one do not answer random calls from 800 numbers, that do not identify who the caller is, simply because there are so many scams out there.
I definitely do not answer 800 calls with no caller named in the caller id, and then start supplying personal details about myself.
If TD wants to call for any reason, that caller ID had better say the caller is TD on the call display, and the number had better be posted on their website somewhere

They just ask that I call them back.

This is not actually TD, they call you on BEHALF of TD and if you try to confirm with actual TD they have no idea about this number. Scam/fraud

Weird call

They are getting smart it now says TD but now sure what its all about since I am a work and didn't answer.

I get 2 to 3 calls a day daily. I blocked their number on both my cell phone and home phone because they refuse to let me speak on behalf of my wife. I cannot accept bothersome calls while at work, or while looking after kids at home alone. Absolute harrassment!!!
