I just got a call from this number and when it came in on my phone it was flagged as a scam number

I got this number calling me twice on a Saturday. They didn’t give me a name of who was calling (first red flag) just claiming it to be “TD Canada Trust” My mom told me that banks will never call you, if someone claims they are from a bank (whether it’s your or not) don’t answer/give out details! I googled it just to be extra sure & scammers can impose as banks (even using legitimate numbers to trick you) to scam you. If anything just go in person if something’s not right!

Incessant phone calls.  Issue is student loan for daughter Caitlin Colleen McCauley.  Info between daughter payments into my account.  We set up an account so Caitlin’s payments goes through me.  Still trying to resolve with random phone calls.

The caller said she was from TD and asked us to call back to the customer assistance department
I would have called but my husband said not to because if we don’t recognize the number it is probably a scam and if it was important they would have said why they were calling.

Legit number from TD. Calling to make payment arrangements for accounts in arrears.

Thisnum just called me saying its some collection bs for my missed loc bill dec and jan (today is dec 29/20 Lol). I told him my payment goes to TD directly from my bank account, there is impossible to miss payments. It took me 2sec to check my bank statements and told him 'do not call me again".  Please be careful people.

These people started calling me in Dec 2021 and continue to call three times a day. At first I thought it was legit as I fell behind on a bill. They only left one vm saying they were customer service. Now they call from this same number which I had checked out only to find out they are scammers using  Td voice over. They are scammers.

I got a voice mail from them and she had a strong accent that I could barely pick up the phone number.  She was able to say my full name. Before my call back I called TD Bank customer service they said they would have record if they left voice mail and told me to ignore it.

Call back to the number gets TD Canada Trust with instructions for English vs French before being routed to an agent.  It is NOT however, one of the numbers listed on their website.  It's always best to call the number on your bank card or one of the published numbers on the website.  Numbers can be spoofed, even a bank's number.  Always be cautious with you financial information

Can confirm. Official TD phone lines notified me that this number appears suspicious and advised me not to provide personal information.

Calling the number directly, the person on the other end grew increasingly agitated when I told them I'd already contacted TD directly. Rather than directing me to hang up and call an official number or specific department from the website, they attempted to forward me to another number that did not appear in TD records.
