- GR replies to JoAnn WinslowVery funny! At least I hope you joking.
- JenniferSAP Business Objects. I don't answer calls unless I know who they are (too many solicitors), these people have been calling me for months because of my job title. I never answer, but they continue to call. Likely because my voice mail confirms my position and title.

- Bob39 replies to Sick_of_Spam_CallersOne important point: Even if you use a VOIP phone, with your caller ID blocked to the receiving party, your VOIP phone number will show on their screen, if you are calling any 800 series of toll-free numbers.
I have proved that by calling an Internet business to enquire about buying something, and then they soon called me back, even though my VOIP number is normally blocked to all other non-800 series numbers. I did not give out my number to them verbally, so the only way for them to know what it was, is for them to have read it on their screen, when I called them that one and only time. - acGot this call, caller ID show 888-514-2665. I kept the line on mute, and they wouldn't hang up either. So we just hang on like that for awhile like 5 minutes, then they finally hang up.
- Receptionist replies to ShawnSo you work for them......nice try, I been dealing with you annoying people for a long time.....YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER.
Look in the mirror, how do you live with yourself - Big Red replies to john| 1 replyJohn- No they are not "out to get you". We just don't care for their methods. If they get to a voice mail, then they should leave a message with info and a LEGITIMATE return phone number if we are interested. They should not call and let it ring 50 times (and did that 3 times at that!)........That is rude and discourteous. How would you like it it if we constantly bugged you?!
- SubscriberThis organization called to update my information for my free Contract Pharma subscription. They do these updates of contact information periodically. They do continue to call if you do not pick up. If you have signed up for a trade publication, you have probably invited this attention, and can expect them to "try, try again."
- Caller: Called on behalf of "Contract Pharma" publication
- John replies to Big RedI WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!
- ELJAYI get constant calls from this number and have not anwered. When I do answer there will be hell to pay. They better be ready
- Waterfly01 replies to JayThe same thing is happening to me at my work number.
- MaxSpam phone number. Don't bother to answer. Good thing is that it does not leave a message.
- gatekeeper888-514-2665 CallerID name "Not Available". A pleasant woman asked for the owner by first name only. I asked who was calling and the nature of her call. She said her name was Patricia. I asked what the call was regarding. She said OHSA Compliance services. I told her we had that covered, and she tried to get more information about our company, asking if we were a corporation. I replied that we have our OSHA compliance covered, and told her to have a nice day. Thank you, goodbye!

- tim replies to ShawnSAP's business office number is 888-727-1127. So be careful it may be a scam.
- Common Sense replies to JoAnn Winslow| 1 replyWhy in the HECK would you EVER give anyone your social security number? Are you senile or on drugs? If he was to Verify your social security number, he would have to HAVE a number to Verify. If he's actually got it right, then you should actually find out Who it is, and why they have it. Never provide your social security number to a stranger unless you want to be a victim of credit fraud. I hate to say someone is foolish, to put it lightly, but Holy Toledo, this is one of the most ignorant things I've heard in a while. If I said, I wanted to verify your social security number, bank account number, and pin number, with an accurate spelling of your last name, and your mother's maiden name, would you please post it here, would you? For the love of Pete, DON'T do it. You're explanation is like some criminal standing at your door saying they want to help you clean your house, so give them a key to the front door, and you go and give them a key. They only went away because they got what they needed. That's not a person of their word, that's the end of your participation in the scam, that you just volunteered to be a victim. Unfortunately, some people need to learn the hard way.
- common sense replies to Common SenseUnfortunately my typing does not show common sense. I could have had some better spelling, punctuation, and grammar. I apologize, also, if that all came across rudely, instead of cautionary and informative.
Good Luck - RetiredMagazine subscription fulfillment service. I'm familiar with these types of companies having worked in the publishing business. Magazine publishers are frequently having problems obtaining new subscribers or renewing existing ones. So, they hire third party companies (frequently located offshore) to chase down potential new readers. If you're not an existing subscriber, chances are, they're working with a database. Which may or may not be outdated. For example, a trade magazine sereving the building supply industry may have purchased a database of persons who attended a trade show serving that field. Generally speaking these publications ARE free to qualified subscribers. That's where the personal information questions come in. The publishers are not looking for your personal banking or financial info. Instead, they're trying to qualify you by establishing that you're in a position to buy the products sold by advertisers. They want to know what your job function is, and what products you buy or specify. Legitimate financial questions pertain to your business (size of your company, annual volume of perchases, etc.) If you meet their criteria....AND if you want a free subscription....they'll add you to their circulation. If you don't meet their criteria OR if you don't want a subscription, they'll back off. No reputable fulfillment service will sign you up if you don't want them to. You can also tell them upfront that you're not interested.

- Miss InformationI work in a State Office. It is ILLEGAL to solicit here. There is a state law against soliciting State offices. This number calls constantly but no one is there when the phone is answered. :( Terrible business practice. If they would speak, we would tell them to remove us!
