I should note that in the beginning it says they are Texaco/Chevron, but when I was transferred to an operator it said it was GE collection.  Before connecting me there was a recording saying they were a collection service and information you give them will be used to that end.

I have been receiving calls from this number as well.  No message is left and I never give out any account information to anyone I don't know.  This number can keep calling me all they want, I will not answer!

They called a second time today and left a message.  They asked me to call them back or go to www.cheverontexacocards.com which is a legitimate website and I do have an account with them.  I did make an online payment to my account but not sure why they keep calling me.

There is an app called mr. number and some other ones too. Its awesome because you can block any unwanted calls from your call log. Since I downloaded it my phone stays quiet all it'll do is send a small vibration when its blocked. But you can change that setting if you want. You can choose to send it to voicemail or instant hang up whatever you choose. And its a free app in the google app store. Get the app and play with it. Best thing ever to get the annoying calls to not be annoying anymore.

I keep getting a recorded message not directed to any name that I should call the number 888-554-1388 and hear an important message. My phone is unlisted and I am on the don't call list. I intend to stop this kind of arrogant call and take them to small claims court if they continue.

We have a G.E. credit card. As I told them when they called our home several times My payment is not Due until November 5Th, so what do you want? Never did get answer to that. I am going to pay my bill as I do each month in full and this time burn my card.

Stop one obnoxious caller and these people start calling and still trying to scam me with a different credit service.

FYI, you can block up to 5 numbers if you are with verizon. I am sure other cell phone companies provide that service, as well. I have blocked quite a few numbers from calling me.
