They called me pretending to be RBC offering insurance on my credit card.  I called RBC and they've never heard of them and assured me that they do not release any personal information.  They also said that they probably got my information from another source.  My guess is that some insurance company hired them to sell their insurance.  Scam artists none the less.

They have been calling me a few times every day now too, without leaving any voicemails...I finally answered today. They asked for me by my name which is weird considering i just got this cellphone not too long ago and the phone isn't even under my name...for some reason I just said "she's not here" lol and they just hung up.

they call at least three times a day. They leave no message. If i pick up the phone is dead. I am so sick of this they even call on the weekend

It's ICT offering to sell you credit card protection. They call me 3x a day.

It really pisses me off because my phone and phone # are just 2 months old! The only people who have my phone #'s are my friends, govt agencies and credit card companies.

I called the # and asked to be put on their no-call list. They said it could take up to 30 days.

This [***] calls me 6 times a day and has a diffret identety every time like he was a credit unuion guy then he was a doctor doing a survey and so on. Who is he!!!!!

Sounds like a scam - identity theft perhaps.  
Whatever you do, don't give them any personal information about yourself, especially if they're calling regarding banking information and security, etc.  Call your phone company (whether it be home phone or business phone) and ask them to block that number for you.  I've tried getting to the bottom of this as I'm receiving approx. 4-6 calls a day but I can't seem to get this problem fixed.  Again, do NOT give out any personal information.  And I think the 'DO NOT CALL LIST' is just a way for them to verify that your phone number is actually active.

I have received 5 calls so far today (December 16th 2008) and it is 1:41pm.

These people have been calling me about 8 times a day or more for 3 months. I have called back THREE times to remove my number from their list and they still call me. This is ridiculous.

I called the ITC group number on their website, the 800 201 number and hit 0.  The 4 for going on the do not call list didn't take my number.  When I hit 0, I got transferred to an actual voice mail where I left my very pissed off message.
We'll see if it works.

Right after my post of yesterday, they called again.  This time I answered and didn't say anything.  Finally the person on the other end asked for me.  I cut her off, told her I'd left a voice mail message to go on the do not call list and also told her the do not call option would not accept my number.
I was persistent and she said she would take of it.  So far....no calls, keeping my fingers crossed.  BTW, profanity and all with these people does no good.  Just be polite and firm no matter how agravating they are.  The reason it seems like they're different callers is because they (ITC Group)are a front for any business that wants to use them for telemarketing. The same operator can be calling for any number of businesses she/he represents for ITC that day.

The silence is deafening so far, I love it.....

These Pricks are ruthless and it has got to stop.  This kind of marketing is bad business any fool knows this.  Pay my phone bill too you [***].  Don't hide behind a recorded service you cowards.  I bet you they have some kind of scam going on with mobile phone companies such as ROGERS.  Eat my ass Rogers!!!

I always receive about twenty calls per day from these numbers, and wonder how they got my number in the first place. They call from  1-800-395-8813 and 1-888-556-5140. Can annyone help trace and prosecute these annoying people?

I have had 14 calls from them today and it's only 3pm... When they call, I answer and blow into the mic as hard as I can and they hang up. Hopefully they will lose all of their staff to hearing loss...

I saw a comment on the first page of this group and got their telephone number which is 800-201-1085 and called it. Option 4 is to be put on the "do not call list".  Hopefully it will work..if you call you are to leave your phone number and name and reason (do not call list) and they say it will be taken off within 48 hours.
They have been driving me crazy...called twice in the last hour!!

I just called the number back and it's a computer automated message asking if you want to be added to their 'do not call list'. It takes about 30 days to take effect, but I no longer receive their calls!

This is marketing company (ITC?) calling on behalf of credit card companies. They're selling a credit card identity theft protection service. Just tell them you don't want their free credit report. If you agree it's a 15.00/month - and you physically have to opt out later. SAY NO! And yes, you can call them back and press 1 to be added to the 'don't call list'.

this company kept calling and calling me but never left a message finally i did get to speak to someone. he was offering me a service to be able to check my credit report and score for about 14 dollars a month.I asked him how they got my number , he replied that either the royal bank of canada had sold them, or given them, i didint fully understand.They only had my name and address which seems strange if they had my info from the bank. The company name is ICP but didnt say what it stood for. any ideas?

I get those calls frequently. I'm in Quebec City. I pretend I don't speak English and they hang up. Sometimes they call late in the evening. It annoys me. They are marketing companies. They call many people at once and they catch the first fish who answers. So if they don't talk right away when you answer the call, hang up!

Called three times this afternoon.  Calls started once a day on Jan. 8th, now calling ever more frequently.  Gonna try SMS texting these words:  

"I (name) of ### ### #### do not consent to being contacted by phone, please remove my number from the current or any phone list."  

We'll see of that works
