My manager got a voicemail from a woman Agent Brown claiming that they were going to put the legal papers through if I didn't contact her and take care of it. When I called the number it said the company was URG. I was getting calls similar to this last year and finally had my husband talk to them and they hung up on him and we hadn't heard from them for awhile. The number they called me from was 855-803-1231. I am so sick of these calls and them calling my work. How do you get it to stop?

Please all of you submit a complaint to the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the FTC.  They are the only agencies who can put these lowlifes out of business.  In California they closed down several of these scams and arrested the owners.   Do not give out any information to them, just report them.  Also, you can get an attorney to sue them for $1000 a phone call. What they are doing is illegal.

These people are scam artists  here's a number they will pick up on. Be aware they are seeking to steal your identity 1-855-730-8931. File a police report as these type of people need to be stopped!!!

they are calling from 1888-997-1395, sayingthat I owe money from a credit card company that I don't reconize, they also called my HR office saying that I need to call at that number, is also when you call they saying that is URG . anyway this is very bad, calling at work, they are supposly collectors.

I received a phone call from this number 1-888-997-1395 saying I owe almost $4000 to a credit card that I had in 2008 and 2009. The credit card name they gave me was Continental Credit Card. I have never heard of such a credit card and i haven't had a credit card since the 90's. They told me that I had 24 hours to pay the money because they mailed me a summons 6 weeks prior which I never has received and they also said they have sent s courier to my house twice which I have not seen. If I don't pay in 72 hours they are putting a lien on my job income, my bank and even on my car with the company I finance the car with. Please can someone tell me how to stop these scammers for harassing me.

I received the same phone call at my home and job.  I declined everything they said because they said I owe forva credit card that I never heard of as well in 2008 snd 2009 I haven't had a credit card since the 90's. They gave 72 hours to pay the money and I told them yo fo what they have to do and the man called me a ignorant woman.  I hung up the phone and discuss the matter with people on my job and was told that it was a scam and I haven't heard from them since.

Got a call from Agent Brown saying it is urgent, a complaint has been filed against (wait for it) my EX HUSBAND from 27 years ago who has never lived at this address or had this phone number. She prattled on something about 'complaint' 'the complaining party who has contacted my office' 'time sensitive' 'urgent'... blah blah blah. What a scam.

They tell everybody..you will be served...lets get something straight !!  Only a court can serve you papers!!  Only a judge can garnish your wages!!  They cannot send anybody from there company to serve you!!! there so called papers!!  These are all tactics to get you to pay...and dont pay them!! What i have read here is crazy!!  Any ligitimate debt collector would not do what i have read here!!  Holy Cow!!  Dont be afraid of them cause if they could have done anything they would have!!  Laugh at them like i did!!  If they ever send anyone!!!  Detain them for the police!!!  This company is not ligitimate!!  I have been told its a family in a house!!  Kids screaming in the backround!! and so forth.  They answer urg from a seperate phone line in the house.  Some of these bougus collectors will have some of your personal in formation to get you to pay!!  All of 2013 thats all i heard!!....we will serve you papers in 2 hours!! if you dont call.  We will send papers to garnish your wages!!  9 months!!!  and nothing!!!!  What does that tell you!!!....Enough!!!

This company continues to harrass me and my mother.  I am going to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.  I do not even do payday loans.  The number is 855-256-4037 URG is the supposed company.

This company is a SCAM claiming to be a group attorneys and state prosecuters, calling claiming that I have a case number for writing "worthless" checks. When I ask what the bad check was for, they tell me an EFT for a payday loan. They refuse to provide me with a company address or office location or any legitimate verification of the debt. They have threatened arrest. They have called past employers and relatives of mine. They did an unauthorized background check and used my social security number to pull my credit report. They looked up my business phone number online and call me there too, even claiming to personally know some of my clients. I was initially contacted in March of 2014 by "Dolores Bryce" who gave me her number 866-747-4309 ext 226.  After having my attorney contact her twice, the phone calls stopped for about 3 weeks. Now I have someone who goes by the name Alejandro Williams calling me- my phone shows it as a restricted call, but he tells me to call him back at 855-254-0812. They will not honor my request to stop contacting me and people that I know. I've told them they are violating FDCPA in every way possible. This is clearly a scam company. I have searched them on the internet and found many complaints! They tell me I can pay over the phone or it will cost about 5 times as much in court. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY AT ALL! No matter what they know about you. It's nothing but a scare tactic.

I just received the same call about 45 min ago. But from a different number, 888-997-1069 from attorney "marlo" no last name. I guess he's like cher, Madonna, or prince, no need for last names. He started off screaming at my, that his mother is my age, but she pays her bills. Till I started screaming back 1st of all I have no idea who you are, what your calling a bout. He (still yelling), if you would shut up a minute and hear what I'm saying.  I said excuse me, stop yelling at me, and talk to me like I am a person.  "marlo" calmed down , but the threats kept coming. He already sent me a certified letter, that I did not respond to, and now if I don't pay him right now over the phone 1,100, he will put a freeze on my account, all of my assets, and they (not sure who they are), But "they" will be on my doorstep tomorrow morning.  My 1st question is, who comes to your door on 4th of July. And I will go to jail for ignoring his subpoena, and all my account, will be closed by law. Do I make myself clear, you have no idea how deep thins thing can go. He has my social security number, my bank info, I was soared to death . While I was on the phone, my husband looked the company up, and saw all of these comments. He now is waiting for my to call him back regarding my debit card payment.  Thanks to all of your comments, help put my mind at ease . I called my bank , had to open a new acct. And has to call the better business bureau on Monday to report the company.  Oh and he specifically said I am not from a depth collection company. My firm buys all these depths that people refuse to pay, so my job is to get our money back.

I got a message and a threatng call from a place called urg i told them to stop calling they are a scam i googled them too..
