Been calling everyday, I just ignore them.

I am registered on the Do Not Call List, go to the link below to lodge a formal complaint with the CRTC and cross your fingers they do something about it!

The national do not call list exempts this type of calling as the survey does not push a product or service for purchase.

I would like this number to stop calling me and costing me money for nothing.

Tell me,  how the hell does the scam artists obtain a cell phone number that pay as you go and has never been provided to any retail organization.  The cell phone has only been used for private family and friends calls.  Telus is obviously associated with the telephone scammers and telemarkers.......  I suppose I will have to cancel all my telus accounts and deal with a reputable company

I received yestersay 4 calls and  today 4 calls  from this EKOS reasearch,  last call at 8:40 pm today.
So annoying. I CALLED them back at  613-569-4877 the lady who answered me was rude and a bi*** . I told her
why you are calling me 4 times and its annoying, She said  because we can call up to 9 :pm .. I SAID to her I don't want to be disturbed and don't wish to receive any calls from EKOS reasearch, or else i send u cease desist letter.
She said what is your number so i can remove your number and as soon i gave her my number she hang up on me. She didnt say sorry for the inconvenience or anything. What Kind of LAW that allow b*****d like these company to disturb the peace of Canadians in the name of making a buck$!!!

IF they call me again (that means the lady lied and didnt remove my number as she promissed me on the phone plus I have the conversation recorded) I will sent them a "CEASE DESIST" letter and I WISH after that they make the mistake to dare to call me, I would make minimum 10 000$ in small claim court.

guys fight for your rights against some stupid laws that is geared toward business and not toward the Privacy of the citizen.

I DO NOT HAVE ANY business dealing with them directly or indirectly , they imposed themselves on my privacy.

Thank you for posting this informative message. Reading posts that are not helpful are a waste of time. Strange the government would be calling our cell phones to conduct a survey, considering Canada pays some of the highest mobile rates in the western world. Now that really annoys me!

very annoying calls, especially when I am driving thinking it may be a family emergency and we have the distracted driving laws here. How do you stop these calls?

This is a research company. Unfortunately CRTC does allow these types of companies to call you. You can try to ask them to remove your number.
Most newer cellphones have mechanisms to block calls. In addition Rogers and some others will include blocking free of charge.

Called my cell 5 times today... it's called many days multiple times. My number is new... Definitely not someone I know, Only 6 or so people have it.

Just got a call from this number 18886880709. I answered but it was dead at the other end.

On se fait tous appeler par le même numéro sur notre cellulaire . . . peut-être une firme externe engagée ou créée par nos fournisseurs cellulaires pour nous prendre des minutes . . . $$$ pour eux. Mais ce n'est qu'une hypothèse non fondé. Je sais qu'ils nous chargent tous pour nos minutes d'appels et qu'ils nous chargent et 5$ par mois pour bloquer les indésirables.

It's a polling research firm taking a poll on if an election were held today which paty would you vote for
Press 1  for Liberal
Press 2 for NDP
Press 3 for PC

We do not answer this type of phone call. That number is unknown for us so if I may add what a waste of time and especially on Sunday afternoon.

Although EKOS research are technically exempt from the DNCL, they call often and just hang up when you answer.
They need to be warned , stopped and have their exemption removed.
