It is Premier Credit of North America,

I don't know what all they do
but I know that they are the collection agency that the Dept of Education uses.

And I'm pretty sure they buy the school loans from the Student Loan Dept or
the Dept of Ed. Then aggravate you because they add thousands to your amount due in interest, penalties and collections fees, it added about 2000 more to mine
when the Dept of Ed, collection dept just immediately turned mine over to them even when I told them my loan was supposed to have been discharged years ago, for "hardship" and the Dept of Ed was supposed to send me two forms to re fill, back out again, yet turned right around and turned me over to that Premier which immediately added about 2 or 3 thousand more dollars to what they said I owe and something is fishy about that if you ask me, it's like they just
want more money when you can't even pay the loan much less a few thousands dollars more, but the Dept of Ed should have at least waited on me to re fill out those forms, that just don't sit right with me.

I would not give Premier Credit the time of day after the way they treated me when they used to call here all the time and they call your relatives phone ask questions about you, they threaten you with lawsuits and lawyers and they try to intimidate, they did me, and they told me, "you just take a look at your credit report now" cause they try to ruin you and do anything just to get that money, they make me sick and they say, that you are not supposed to acknowledge or talk to these kind of people especially after it's been so many years, mine was from back in 2001, and they may not have a statute of limitations on it but I would never admit to they anything at all I would not trust them after every think I know personally about how they treated me and they are money hungry, I can't stand them and I can't believe our gov Dept of Ed would even use them kind of people or sell our student loans to them. I would not give them the time of day and I sure would not ever answer that phone or let them know they have the right number. No I would not. I hate them.

. I have blogged what I think about them on my MSN Space. If you put this number in search you can find my space

Sound's to me like you are the type of person that is going to make it harder on my children to get a federal loan and go to college.  Why not pay the bill??? I am sure they are more than willing to waive your penalties.  Does it ever come to your mind that if you just paid it you would not have to hide from the government for the rest of your life?  Your loan is only getting larger.  I am sure you will gladly take on a federal wage garnishment or tax offset.

i think thats a poor answer.  Did you ever stop to ask no name if she found a job with her education she aquired.  I love selfish [***] suckers.  Your probably one of those people who either joined the family business or one of the many people i grew up with whos family had so much damn money they didnt have to worry about what they wanted to do because they could try everything.  And before you say i must have struck a nerve with someone.. No you didnt because i came from nothing and started my own company and doing quit well so maybe you should ask before you run your mouth and if your kids r that good they wont have a problem going to college and if you were anything at all you would have the money set aside for your kids to goto college like me and my wife.

With a comment like that, I can only hope your children never go to college... will probably turn out as bad as you and be wasted time and funds.

We keep getting calls from this number at least 3 times a day and neither my husband or i have unpaid student loans. Hes never been to college and i got the pell grant so i never needed loans. So i have no idea why they are calling us and how they got our number. These people need to quit calling our phone. We are on the do not call list and we still get these calls. They need to stop.

Since when is it the federal government's job to lend money in the first place?  I can't find that in the Constitution anywhere.  But since we have the feds lending money, we also have taxpayers' money lost to bad debt, and government resorting to harassing tactics.  I'll bet you didn't know that part of Obamacare was a federal grab of all student loans.  If you don't believe me, look it up.  Now if you want a student loan you better hope the feds have enough money or hope your kid fits the right demographic.  How's all that hope and change working out for ya?

Well to all.  It really does not matter whether you *acquired* a job with the money that you borrowed.  The school is not who chose the profession you are.  The school is not who lent you the money the government did.  Also,  just a little knowledge.  Did you know that if schools have maintained a 10 % default rate on student loans that students acquire during school they will lose their title 4 right and will not be giving student loans out anymore.  Also,  Obama is forgiving student loans to PEOPLE who are in good standing not in DEFAULT.     All I am saying is you would not have had the opportunity to go to college without the borrowed money and one day little "John" will be denied his right to become a doctor because of lack in financial aid.  He might have actually been one to pay it back.  We will be able to thank the people who are activelly working and just have decided to not pay their loans.  Pay your loans back for the simple reason of it is the right thing to do.

its a collection agency, yep.  I've tried to fill out hardship papers since I've been out of work but they call at least once a day, every day, even after I've mailed in forms.  I've got health problems that I can't even afford to take care of since I'm out of work and they're tacking on interest and stuff.  Classy and compassionate. I didn't even -ask- for my loan to be bought out by the gov's Mae outfit, but they did it anyway without my consent. I wasn't consolidating anything, it was originally thru a bank and then mail showed up one day and said 'Aren't you lucky the gov bought out your school loan!' and no, not so much luck there, just added stress and about two blinks away from living out on the streets as it is.  Just barely scrapin' by like a whole lotta folks are...and not scraping by very well, either. :(

If you are registered with do not call.org, & are getting these calls, you can simply file a complaint with do not call.  It's a very simple process & takes less than 5 minutes.  Every time I get telemarketing calls, etc., I simply file a complaint & usually never get another call.

I am sure that not everyone in the world in out to get your children (making it harder for them to get a student loan.) I am also a person who told the government years ago that I was disabled and now they have decided to turn me over to this credit collection. I even fill out the paper work and have proof from a doctor so now I have to deal with this bs.

They are on the FSA's list of the collection agencies that the Dept of Education uses (http://www2.ed.gov/offices/OSFAP/DCS/collection.agencies.html)... but their website says nothing about being specific to school loans, just that they are a debt collecting firm.  I'm guessing their biggest "account" is just related to student loans.  I say that because I don't know why they're calling my house, because MY student loans aren't even due to be repaid yet, since I am still in full time school pursuing my degree.  There's no way they're in collections, or they wouldn't keep giving me money each term, lol...

I got what was probably my first of many calls to come from these Azz-wipes a few days ago. They can call me all they want, all day, all night, and in between. If no one else over the last TWENTY phuqing years has been able to squeeze a drop out've me, they need to think twice if they fantasize that they CAN, LOLOLOLOLOL.

I only use my landline for calling out as no one I know has THIS particular number, so they can call it and talk to the answering machine all they want. LOLOLOL. I am very cautious, one thing I never do on that line is dial any toll free number, ever. Even if you have an unlisted landline, the laws of the spammers and advertisers and the rest of the evil world override your rights to privacy and your UNLISTED number shows up on their screens when you ring them, food for thought people. If you PAY your provider for an unlisted or blocked number, your rights to privacy should apply across the board, period.
