Why can’t I delete this number from my phone

Called my cell # no message , I think scammers they are everywhere

Received a call like this and I had just purchased a phone and was in fact having issues... it was a scam they asked for my pin and since it all seemed so legit at the beginning I gave it over and the next thing I knew I was getting emails saying my daughter Julia had been added to my account. I dont have any kids and I was only 18 at the time. I ended up calling telus back directly and they in fact said it was a scam and thousands of dollars had already been charged to my account but not for me to worry as they would get it all sorted out. Now I dont ever answer numbers I dont know. If its important they will leave a message with their info and why they are calling.

No caller id so of course we did not pickup :)
Nor did they lv message!

The dead air in the initial part of the cal is an indication of an automated system dialing multiole numbers until.it achieves a confirmed active line.
It then transfers to the next open ahent on their end.
Usually denotes a telemarketer or scammer.
Be aware, this devices notes your number as active, and you are placed on a list of active phone numbers, and will likely see an increase in volume from these kind of calls as your number is circulated.
DO NOT CALL UNKNOWN NUMBERS BACK!!
There are numerous scams where calling the numbers back, even momentarily, will result in big charges for toll calls.
Similar to 1800 chat lines, these calls can result in $100s of dollars in charges on your phone bill.
In effect, these are the 1800 scam lines of old. They're just being proactive.

Telus is making calls leaving no messages. Pages of complaints are on the internet. Make it stop.

this number keeps calling me over and over again .....hang up when I pick up......also I have blocked it and it still gets through

I didn't pick up after reading this post but very likely to be sales call

Idiot called saying they want to upgrade my service when I asked them what service I had with them they didn’t know and started mumbling this and that service I’m like that is incorrect - what would you call me not knowing the services you provide me ! Super weird and uncomfortable amidst all this covid 19 chaos - do not trust anyone calling about your services !!!

Fed up with all the phone calls from this  number.  If I answer they just hang up.  Last call this morn i didnt say anything just picked up the phone after about 5 seconds they hung up.

why are these people allowed to harrass everyone? cant the number be disconnected? this is ridiculous

Getting harassed by these pukes every day has become very old. Wished I had a device which would trace these calls back to their true source as well as a virus that could be downloaded into their systems that destroys everything it touches and shut them down. I'm pretty sure that my number is being passed around a large call center from one operator to the next in the hope that repeated harassment will one day get an answer. . . it won't. I outlasted a credit card company calling me 300 times in one year and a communications firm calling 200 times in 8 months after that, neither of them got through and these guys will meet the same no answer wall so here's hoping that they will do a slow burn during their failure.

Been getting calls from 888 811 2323 almost every day for the past week at different times. The display shows it's from TELUS, when I answer there's nothing but dead air on the other end. Called TELUS but they couldn't resolve the problem. Called Telus tech support and he told me the it could be a scam, called the 888 811 2323 and it's says thanks for calling TELUS. What the ?

I have been called four days in a row by this number. When I say hello they hang up. I am not a TELUS customer.

Same here. They called from this phone number and no answer ..dead air space ...they called me 4 times

get calls daily from this #.  i dont answer unknown callers.  no msg-  says TELUS on call display - yeah, right.   hear tagalog conversations on the other end but no actual msg.
