To the Subcontractor a few notes back... my dad did some work for the Samoset back when they did most of the initial work of rebuilding way back after the place burnt to the ground back in the 70/80's with a construction firm out of boothbay... never got payed... so consider yourself lucky if you did... anyway got the same letter as you all today as well... wife always gets giddy about these things when they arrive... wen't to one along time ago in Elseworth (sp) at Acadia Resorts or something and it was legit... and so were the tix that they reluctantly gave us though we too never dared to attempt to use them... now we go with friends to the resort (Acadia) in the spring and it is kinda nice getaway... though not wasting my time on this one... Kevin... Rambling on here but a funny story... last stayed at the samoset a few years ago... bid on a benifit supper on a one nights stay there in a suite... ended up getting it for $90 in Apr.... great deal right... awoke to beautifull brisk morning and contimplated dropping the extra $120 for the wife and I to play a round of golf... but thought better of it... later that day I got my first hole in one at my home course in Vasselboro!  God had a better gift for me that day... and He has one for you!!!

My husband received one of these Finn & Gilliam letters in the mail today.  Same confirmation number as everyone else, 8940.  We never received any phone calls though the letter stated they had tried.  How stupid are these people?  The first thing I did was google them and this website and thread was number one on the google list.  DUH!  And to the person who said this is debt collection-I can guarantee we do not have any delinquent bills or payments.

Maybe you might be BRAINDEAD and behind on YOUR bills, but I got the same letter and I pay MY bills--every last one of them.  So your theory is crap.

I received the very same letter today.  Same confirm number too.  I thought it interesting that there was no return address on either the envelope or the letterhead.  Also, I have to wonder if the letter was placed directly into my mailbox without going through the USP since there is no postage cancellation.

I got the same letter just now. I live in Thomaston right next to Rockland so this make sense. They really sould have made this a little more legitimate though if they want to bring people in.

And no, it has nothing to do with bill collection. I have nobody trying to collect from me at all. As for them trying to contact me, that's just a lie. I havn't gotten a call from this number ever.

I recieved this letter and I am not deliquent...so I would have to assume that your probably jumping to conclusions. Try calling the number and find out for yourself.

I got a letter from this place calling themselves Finn & Gilliam with the same contact number and same 1400.00 air tickets offer. They must be changing tactics. No return address. Signed Mark Sims, VP, Travel Awards Division.

Yep, I got the same letter, confirmation number, signatory and all.  Do they actually think people are stupid enough not to check this out?  And to Scott, I got this letter and I have no bills, am debt free, and aren't behind on any utilities.  Any other harebrained ideas genius?
