- DanI'm going in for an interview with this company. I've seen the complaints, but does anyone know that they are a member of the BBB and have a B- rating which "is a good rating that still implies reputability"?
http://www.seflorida.bbb.org/BusinessReport.aspx?CompanyID=92009212 - Fed UpEFG Car warranties: complete scam. Anyone connected to this company should be watergboarded at Gitmo.
- Fed UpDan, you must be pretty hard up to interview with a scammer. You're better off begging on a street corner. At least you would still have some decency.
- RichTotal scam, I don't even own a car, have not owned one in my own name for 25 years+...Still they want to extend my warranty. This is a 'phishing scam' Thousands of complaints about them.

- qweedI have received numerous robot phone calls warning me it is my last chance to get an extended automobile warranty. I have informed them my phone number was placed on the federal Do Not Call List years ago and asked them not to call again. They continue to call. After receiving two calls in one day, I faked interest in order to get them to identify themselves. They are:

After a lot of effort, I managed to obtain Mr. Cowart's phone number and called him to complain. I told him every time his telemarketers called me, I would call him. He apologized, took my name and phone number, and promised not to call me again. Six days later his telemarketers violated that promise. I immediately called him to complain once again.
If you are being pestered by this dubious scofflaw, I suggest you call and complain to him personally. His personal cell phone number is 954-980-1394.- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty, Inc.
- Rob Of NYCLegitimate companies do not employ the tactics these slimeballs do; they don't spoof their phone number, they don't show up as Unknown on the caller ID. They don't make misleading statements (if not outright lies). They give refunds - something which this company has never heard of.
If it smells, looks and tastes like a scam - it probably is - avoid these guys like poison.
As for the few that praise these slimeballs, watch out they are probably shills that work for this company (when I say company, I use the term loosely).- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty
- HaroldYeah, now I am trying to get them to cancel an "extended warranty" they sold my mother. At the time they called her, she already was not driving for almost 4 months. She has a seizure disorder and can't. Sounds like a total scam.
- Andrew| 2 repliesAs a representative for the company, I can assure you that this a legitimate business. Just because a few people have had an unfortunate experience with us does not mean that everyone has. Obviously the negative responses are more common because people rarely complain about good service. Besides, you are getting facts from anonymous individuals over the internet. Take it all with a grain of salt.
- LORIYou can say legitimate all you want you jerk. I have been waiting for 6 months to get my $650.00 down payment back from this non legitimate company. I cancelled 2 days after I put the deposit down and nothing. Represent all you want Andrew. You work for a scam artist and I called the FTC and found out your company is on the top ten list for being investigated. You might want to find a new job.

- jackieyea that sucks there has to be a way you can report them. maybe if you report them to the FTC. check it out.
- Former EmployeeLet me tell ya something about this company. It is a big phone room in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida..where people walk in off the street to get a job, and the next thing ya know, they are selling warranties to people when they don't even know anything about what they are selling. They tell people to hang up on customers who aren't interested..there are big signs on every desk that say HANG UP! NEXT! The people who run that company could care less that customer's are being cursed at, and called names..all they want is your money. The V.P. of the company just got off probation, and smokes weed in the parking lot, in his car..a BRAND NEW Cadillac that he bought with your money. The president of the company is just as bad, IF NOT WORSE, he gets shuffled around in a limo to wherever he chooses to do whatever he wants..drugs are constantly being found in this office..once they were even hanging from his nose, unless of course he was snorting some OTHER white powder. The phone room is open M-F from 9AM-11pm AND Sat from 10a-4pm...just so they can take MORE AND MORE of your hard earned money. If you DO purchase a warranty from them and they tell you "You can cancel in 30 days, no hassle and a full refund will be given" JUST KNOW that the refunds take 6-8 weeks. Why? Because they don't want to give you your money back, and they can..they have the money to do it..they would just rather spend it on limo's and cadillac...fancy houses and vacations to wherever they want to go..

This company does not deserve existence. I can tell you from being an insider, IT IS as bad as you think and the people on this page who are sticking up for this company, guess what...they are actually people who WORK for this company.
This company owes thousands and thousands of dollars to people across the nation. ACROSS THE NATION. People have waited MONTHS for refunds..and some people have forgotten about there's altogether..and guess what..they just don't get a refund. The people who call and freak out..those are the people that get refunds, not the ones who have been waiting patiently and quietly for months.

- Keith KaneTranscontinental Warranty, Inc. contacted me on 11/20/08 regarding a warranty for my vehicle. It just so happened that I had taken my vehicle to the dealership, earlier that day, because the tachometer was not working properly and was told the instrument panel cluster would need to be replaced. I asked if the warranty would cover this repair and was told it would. I purchased the warranty and paid in full (mistake #1), and was told I would receive the warranty kit in approximately 7 days. Two weeks or so later I contacted Transcontinental and left a message to return my call. No return call. I called again the next day and spoke to someone (didn't get their name, mistake #2) who stated that the information would be going in the mail. I waited another week and did not receive anything so I called again. Got the "transfer you around runaround" and was told the package was in the mail. I received the warranty kit on 12/21/08 more than 30 days after the purchase. I called the claims department on 12/29/08 to make sure the instrument panel cluster would be covered and they stated that it would not be covered. I immediately contacted Transcontinental and told them I wanted to cancel because the warranty was misrepresented on the phone. They said they would send me a letter and I would need to follow the steps in the letter. I received the letter dated 12/29/08 the 2nd week of January. I replied, following the steps in the letter and mailed my cancellation request on 1/16/09. I called a month later to find out where my refund was and was told it would take 4-5 more weeks to process. I asked to have the refund expedited as I paid for the warranty the day I purchased it and didn't have the option of paying them 4-5 weeks after the purchase and that I expected to be refunded just as promptly. I asked to be transferred to the woman who signed the letter from them and was told she was on medical leave. I asked how she could have signed the letter sent to me and was placed on hold. When they came back on the line I asked for a manager. Was transferred and was told that the refund would take 4-5 weeks. I then contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges for this vendor. I also filed a complaint with the BBB in Florida. I contacted Transcontinental a few times thereafter and was told they were dealing with the credit card company. I received a "prorated refund" of $180.50 from the company. The warranty cost me $2,300.00. I contacted my credit card company when I saw this refund on my statement and was told that Trancontinental provided them with the information contained in the warranty kit that clearly states you must cancel within 30 days of purchase and that there was nothing further they could do and would have to reverse the "refund credit" placed on my account until they completed the investigation. I did not receive the warranty information kit until 31 days after the purchase so I was screwed from the very start. I am now going to see how to go about suing the company for a complete refund.
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A TOTAL RIPOFF!!!!- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty, Inc.
- DennisFrom what I have been reading about Transcontinental Warranty,Inc. it's a SCAM. I bought like many others thinking it's to good to be true! I was called 2-26-09 at 9 P.M. that for starts should have raised a red flag. I bought a warranty for $2554.00 with $450.00 down with monthly payments if I wanted. They told me it was a bumper to bumper warranty and they would pay all parts and labor with only $100.00 deductable.(Another red flag) After checking into the company and reading all the SCAMS everyone else wrote, I called today 3-5-09 to cancel. The lady said she canceled my policy and would send me a form in 4-5 days that would need to be sent back. I asked if I would have to put up with all the lies and crap to get my money back? She told me they was a honest company with nothing to worry about. I guess I will find out how honest Trascontinental Warranty, Inc. is.
MY ADVICE IS DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty, Inc.
- HarryYou wont get your money back for a long time..unless you call freaking out, over and over again.
If you call 954-980-1394..thats the presidents phone number..he will refund you right away too..I suggest Keith Kane do the same thing, thats how i got my money back.- Caller: Transcontinental Warranty, Inc.
- Haywood JablowmiOh yea, if you do purchase a warranty with them, you will EVENTUALLY get a brochure in the mail but go ahead try to get something repaired. THEY DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT ON ANY CLAIMS!!!!!!! I dont care if it is a seperate department- their claims dept- THEY ARE REPRESENTING THESE DEPARTMENTS!!
- AndrewI have taken the time to read all the responses that have followed and all I see is blind ignorance and inapprpriate language in the replies. You are entitled to your own opinions, however, falsifying information about the company and assaulting me personally just shows a lack of maturity. By all means, if you are not interested in our service, do not sign up. We do not pluck the numbers out of the blue. These numbers are entered through websites. If you did not do it yourself, perhaps someone with a similair number made a mistake, or in some cases, a malicious person who knows you input it. If you wish to be taken off the list, you must remove yourself. Our call reps do not have the ability to do so. We do apologize for any confusions you come across, but we do ask that you show a little maturity by speaking with a calm and collected head. If I can do so even after all the mudslinging done here, than it shouldn't be hard for others to follow. Do unto others, right?
God Bless. - QuinnI was scammed by these guys just recently and Capital One is helping me to go up against these guys to get my money back! These people lured me into a fraudulent insurance scam of which they took over 700.00 from me! The Ford dealership does not accept Transcontinental Warranty, and I would bet that NOONE does!!!!!!!!
I became suspicious once I had agreed to the warranty, and they still kept calling me!!!! 1-2 times a week for the past two and a half months!!!!! I had told them to stop, and now I'm just livid, frustrated, and downright embarrassed that I even fell for this in the first place!
I fell for it because they called me three days after my warranty ran out, and I believed that they were somehow linked to this. The only people that would have given out this info had to be CARMAX, so beware to all of you who bought a car from carmax! They have probably sold their list of owners' contact information!!!!- Caller: TRANSCONTINENTAL WARRANTY
- tiredI can confirm that information on the previous pages (kudos to the "detectives" who figured this out!) about who is originating these calls is correct. I cannot confirm their drug use.. but hey, it's south Florida so I thought that was typically workplace protocol (sorry - a little humor at y'all in FL). Anyway, more on my story and to repeat the contact information from previous posts for filing complaints with the FCC:
Received a robocall telling me my warranty was going to expire. I called the toll free number and the woman confirmed that they make random calls with a recorded message that links to an operator if you press 1. So this is the culprit (I filed a complaint with FCC and I urge you to do the same.) The slimeball CEO's cell phone number is 954-980-1394. He answers the phone as "Hello, this is Chris Cowart" so it's him.
