    I got a call last wednesday...and what i really don't understand is...when i asked  the gentleman who called me where he got my information...he couldn't give me a tangible answer as to where...that to me made me think.

    I will not mind going for the interview...but at the moment my instincts says not to go...and besides...this company have tried numerous times to recruit me after school and have turned them down...Anways...guys stop arguing...this Tal Grossman is enjoy some stake and some wine not even remember who he hired yesterday...

    Mr. Grossman called me too -- for Team Leader. I knew I didn't want to go, but he was pressuring me on the phone so I said yes (always intending to back out last minute). Oh well! I'm not going to appear, and he can just see what he thinks about that. I'm guessing he won't be surprised.

    Primerica is a legitimate company with suspicious tactics. I do not want my conscience to be tainted with guilt for similarly pressuring people to be recruited to something I do not believe in -- just to support myself? No thanks. I want a job where people can respect me and not the other way around.

    Needless to say, my first reaction when I heard that this Mr. Grossman was from Primerica was disgust.

    He called me before too and now he called with another number. He said he was from Primerica and now something else. I just told him im not interested. He sounds really convincing for a new office opening and looking for people.
    My best bet is its just like vector,sumit, fever and every other marketing group that tries to lure people in to investing  and getting nothing out....
    keep out and never get in this scam...!

    He called me two days ago for a leadership position. I actually agreed to an interview, then got suspicious. Since when does a VP call for interviews directly, and why would he want someone with absolutely no experience.

    So I did some research, and tried calling him back to tell him I'm no longer interested. Anyway, I couldn't reach him so I just skipped the interview. He called me back today, about 15 mins after my scheduled interview, and sounded quite upset. I told him that I'm not interested in sales, and he kept saying that it wasn't, without telling me exactly what the position was other than "leading an office". He eventually said good luck and call me back when you grow up, then I was sure he's not the real deal.

    I just got a call from Tal Grossman as well. I was guaranteed that this was not a sales position but a professional leadership role. I know this is probably some kind of scam but I will attend the interview anyways just to see how "professional" everything is.

    I will keep you guys updated

    This is so funny. I too recieved a call from Tal Grossman,from that number, about a job as a "team leader". Although I have no doubt that I would be great with people, I felt that it was odd the V.P of Primerica was doing the hiring. My interview was a couple of days ago, I didn't go because of some negative instinctual feelings, and I get a message on my answering machine saying how I missed a great opportunity, and that he has influences in the gta job market, and he might have to put a bad word out! Who does this? So completely unprofessional;to match my disregard for responsibility with your own disregard of professionalism!
    I am so glad that I found this forum. To the people that have found good jobs with this company:good for you. To everyone else: If it looks like a duck....
    You can't all be wrong, can you?!

    I just met with Mr. Grossman.  He is a VP. He's hiring people direct to him because he is in charge of expansion.  Too bat mouse didn't follow through... did you even call him to say you weren't coming in, or did you just not show.  Grossman has many contacts, it's obvious once your enter his establishment.  Very good conduct, very professional atmosphere - I hope I get this chance!!

    I got a call from this guy yesterday. Set up an interview for tomorrow. Said he got my information from someone who referred me for a job and he wants to interview me for a leadership role in the company. I always get suspicious when anyone mentions Primerica so I thought I would google his name. I am so glad I found this site. I am not going to the interview after this.

    Thanks everyone!!!

    I agree with those that say MLM is a bad deal for most people. It's "endless chain" compensation and recruiting. MLMs typically telemarket all hours of the day, weekends, holidays, and are taught to prospect and recruit 24/7. Your friends will avoid you if you bring this shiite up to them.
    <p>
    They teach people that your friends are losers if they don't join. People get obsessed because of the groupthink training sessions where they get your endorphins firing. 90%+ lose money in MLMs. Products are usually mediocre and better and cheaper elsewhere. Markets are often already saturated with people who have been harassed by MLM telemarketers. You work harder for longer hours, weekends and holidays included, but you don't get paid for that work, you only get paid to make a sale. You might work for a week just to get one sale, then you get a very tiny cheque because 6 or more people and the company also have to get paid from that sale. MLM is a really bad business model, but they lobby government and make donations to politicians so they can influence the laws in the country.
    <p>
    A lot of off-the-street types who are down-and-out join, but just lose more.
    <p>
    Check with www.the-cma.org to see if they are registered and abide by the CMA rules for marketing. If they are, you can file a complaint. If not listed, ask yourself why?

    I agree with Strawberry. MLM is tough. Thank goodness that Primerica is not Multi Level Marketing! As Strawberry knows, Primerica is regulated by the government - check www.fsco.ca - That's the website for the |financial service industry, or www.ific.com - for all mutual funds.  As Strawberry clearly points out MLM comiossion cheques are low because you using "internal consumption" Selling to a saturated market - that's what you get for selling vitamins and soap.  Primerica deals with MONEY - everyone needs RRSPs, Mutual Funds, Education Funds for Children, Life Insurance - products that solve needs.  Thanks for the insight on MLM Strawberry, thank god there's still hope out there with companies like Primerica, and people like Straw and I!

    Oh yeah... I almost forgot... Strawberry's web link doesn't show many major financial institutions ,mainly because it's not a credible link.  It doesn't have info for London Life, Clarica and many other top ten insurers/investors - but like Primerica they are not Multi-Level Marketers, they operate in the financial service field!

    Shortcake clearly didn't understand the link. The CMA was set up by telemarketers to create an ethics code for telemarketers who join to follow. It seems the telemarketer in question has questionable ethics according to these posts.

    As far as MLM goes, in Canada,

    "An MLM plan is a plan with three or more levels (the operator and at least two levels of participants) that promotes the supply of a product to participants of the plan. Compensation is earned by participants in the MLM plan based on the supply of the product to participants and/or non-participants of the MLM plan. A legitimate MLM plan focuses on the supply of products rather than the recruitment of prospective participants into the MLM plan and offers products that consumers value and are willing to purchase."

    http://competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/03035.html#multi_level

    I think people can decide for themselves based on this description whether a particular company is MLM or not.

    Who CARES!!!  Strawberry, you fruit, you`re coming back to this site 2 months later contesting MLM organizations!! GO GET A JOB!! I work at Primerica, I`ve been a Vice President with them for 3 years. We are a direct marketing company. We deal in financial services. Go read the book `The ABC`s of Making Money` - it`s published, with an author - no internet BULL*. Go read Fortune Magazine, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, Success Magazine, Money Magazine or pick up the latest edition of Investment Executive which ranks all financial institutions and Canada.  All these publications support Primerica, it`s people, it`s system and it`s products.  Stop using the internet to spread garbage about things you know little about.  Get off your butt and start working.  Go into a primerica office, meet their people, and judge based on what you`ve seen and experienced. Stop being a Do-Do and get on the Go-Go!

    Furthermore, in reading your pathetic article, It's clear how little you know.  Our distribution is to a client base, not to our sales force.  If you had any clue what we ACTUALLY DID AS A COMPANY (RRSPs, RESPs, Life Insurance, Debt Consolidation, Will revision, Legal Services etc), then you'd realize that we distribute these products to the public.  Your "3 or more level" crap is about selling to the people you "recruit" Do-Do - we are a financial company that operates under strict guidlines set out by the MFDA and FSCO.  If there was something illegitimate, wouldn't they have found out by now? Why are we the fastest growing company in Canada? We do what's right for families - don't even bother responding unless you have PUBLISHED material speaking otherwise - get off the net and go make some money you fruit!

    just an FYI to all who read this forum. isn't it funny that a VP of Primerica has to search these websites to try and sell the company to everyone. Doesn't a VP of a company have a lot on their hands??? shouldn't they be more concerned with the work that they have and not jumping on the internet to up-play the company they work for????

    i'm a little confused about Billy Wong's post. if it is such a great company wont people already know?? why are you on this web-site if its such a great company with such great opportunities???

    Funny you should ask. I was searching for a number and came across the site.  And if you knew me through my successes, you'd know that I actually don't have much to do.  I've been a VP with the company for many years with huge earning power... thanks anyways Mr. Bong... Keep looking for work!!

    Just an FYI... Billy Bong has to hide behind a fabricated name.  He has so much time on his hands that he comments on posts instead of looking for work.  Chances are that he's been fired a bunch of times, and holds little value.  If he was such a great guy wouldn't employers already know?

    there is a flaw in your statement cat. please tell of how would you know of how many "contacts" does Mr.Grossman have and the "environment" at  this firm of you have not Yet gotten a "Chance"???  Its funny how on this forum one can change their name quickly and easily, hence, leaving comments as they from another perspective.

    THANK GOODNESS I checked it out, the audacity. He was so pleasant from the start, and his script seemed so perfectly rehearsed that a mini red flag went up in my head, but then he continued to talk and talk about the opportunity, how no financial background is required, and that all I need was a love for people, good interpersonal and communication skills, and pretty much all of the other laundry terms that job seekers put on their resumes. So, it was hard to accept the interview because he made me feel so confident and optimistic about being a "leader" and a part of "the biggest financial institution in the world". My sister and her close friend both attended the first interview and confirmed that it was highly unprofessional. The questions that they asked were basic personality questions, hardly the grilling that one would expect from a solid company. I am supposed to go to my interview tomorrow, and if "Tal Grossman" had left a number to contact them if anything should arise, I would've had the courtesy to let them know I wasn't interested, but they didn't. So? Again, thank goodness I did my research!

    Also, for those genuinely looking for the "truth", just keep doing your research, go with your instincts, and be weary of  the super positive comments such as the ones below, because they too might be hired by Primerica or similar companies, doing damage control on helpful and informative sites such as these.

    Good luck to those still looking for employment!
    Stay positive!!!

    Stay away from Primerica
    Hey guys,

    I've read through quite a few of the posts in this forum and couldn't resist throwing in my opinion.

    Unfortunately, I had been involved with Primerica full-time for about 2.5 years. I can honestly say without a doubt that joining this company was the single biggest mistake of my life. The second biggest mistake of my life was staying in it for as long as I did.

    I know those that are Primerica reps will disagree and probably have some rehearsed lines that they always use for comments like mine, but save your breath. I know all the lines because, ashamed as I am now, I've used them myself in the past.

    For all the readers that are even thinking about joining this company, please don't. I'm not just saying this as someone that "couldn't make it" or anything like that. But I just don't want anyone to lose all the time, money, self-respect, and confidence that I did. It's now been over two years since I've left and, trust me, not a day goes by that I don't curse myself for ever joining this ridiculous company.

    I don't want to get into too much detail, but long story short, this company (at least in my experience), preys on those that are desperate, looking for work, and literally just wants to get the most out of them as possible.

    PLEASE, if you're in school, stay in school, find a decent job, anything! If you're just looking for work, do telemarketing if you have to for a little while until you can find a better job. You'll be a lot better off in the long run.
