they called me and when i called back they asked to take me on a date!!!

Got a call twice today in back to back succession. They left a message the second time and said his name was Mark Watson and that I needed to call him back on a very important matter that is time sensitive. If I choose to ignore his call, all he can do is wish me luck.

A minute after this, they called and left me a message at work.

Received a similar call today.  The man told me to shut my mouth when I asked what company he was with. Just reported it to the Federal Trade Commission:  https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

Just got a call at work from this number.  I do not know who this is and what he wants.  I believe I have had phone calls from this party  before at my former employment and at home.  Have changed my numbers at home and cell a few times. Cannot understand him or her.

Received a call this afternoon from this number from a "Michael Weiss" with the same type of accent others have described here, also needing my attorney to call the office and "good luck to you" if I did not contact him back.

I got a call at my job today. I just started this new position and no one has this number. They had all my information and I want to be able to protect myself. What do I do? Who can I call to help me with this situation before it gets worse.

I got a call today with the same thing I have no Idea who these people are.. But they have my ss# and job information....

I had a call from this number today they called my job..... say that if I did not pay them that they were going to call the police out to pick me up at work...... I just talked to my boss because I did not know what to do if the cops came to my work...... However I need to protect my Identiy

I got a call from a "Johnathan Reid" today on my cell phone. He did not state what company he was calling from, but that I need not to disregard the call. If I disregarded the call, all he could do is "wish me good luck in the situation." I called back and spoke to a "John Anderson" who said that I owed a Cash Advance for $475. He even read a statement to me stating that I had three criminal charges in the stated of Californina. He said if I did not pay the amount, then a "sherriff will come to my job at 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning to arrest me and I will sit behind bars." I asked the man what company he was with and he told me John Anderson Attorney at law. I asked him when was this filed as I had no clue what he was talking about. He could not give me dates of anything. Since, I have been in somewhat of a situation like this before, I asked if I could make a payment arrangment, the man started yelling at me and went on how it is not a collection agency and I better pay the money right now or he will download the court order to my sherriff's department. So, I told him I will call my local sherriff's office and speak with them, and the man yelled even more. I hate that I applied for a loan online. This is crazy and the second scam I have dealt with in two weeks. Somethin has got to give

Same for me today. Except his name was Jay Wilson. I told him I was calling the cops and he gave me the number for them, which was actually the number of a towing service. Not sure what to do to make it stop...

I received a phone call from Stephen Scott today stating that he had a time sensitive issue and that either I or my appointed attorney needed to call him.  IF I didn't call that he wishes me good luck in what will be happening to me.  I called my husband who Googled the number to see what was going on.  Found this information too.  That it is a scam!  So I still tried the number and he stated that he had one of his Paralegals call me (he gave me his name as different than person who called me) and that they are filing a lawsuit against me in New York.  I stated why would you do that if I don't live in New York.  And he said he was from the states attorney's office.  And he stated he knows I live in this state at my address and repeated it all to me.  Then I asked what the lawsuit was about, he said because of money you received from my client in your bank account.  I said why would you be suing me if I never received the money?  He hung up, and then wouldn't answer when I call back or hung up on me!  I gave the info to my local news station.  Hoping they do something on it.

I was called at my job saying I owed $670 to a payday loan company.They didn't tell me what company they were. Sure I took a payday loan but I don't owe that much. I was told to call Ronnie Cooper Sr Atty and they said he was not available. Crooks!!!

This guy has called me from two numbers and saying i was going to be arrested for a pay day loan. never have got one. But they had my SS # and checking account #. Thats what is scary

I got the same call toda;. he even called my job and told them I was in trouble with the FBI

your message was exactly like mine but at the end he said the fall out will be on you and how he said it all at the end sounded like a threat to me so I am turning it in to the sheriff dept., it is a scam just file a complaint with BBB and call the law and file a complaint that way it is on record . Hope this helps and also when I called that # I spoke to a man whom told me he will tell me all the info., but for me not to interupt him untill he was done or he would hang up and it was about 3 alligations against me , all false of course . but if you get SSI or SSD call them and tell them and put extra passwords on their , they will do that for you and they will mark it as possible identity theft so be sure and keep all info you give them for the security cause you will also have to have that info., when you call .

I am also getting these calls and they are fraud do not fall for the threats . Also put extra security questions on your SSI or SSD  just call SSI and explain and tell them you want extra security put on your case and remember what you put cause you have to have it to if you ever call them , you can add even a new password to it . I got the same call. I also had gotten a payday loan and called the company to find out why they were leaving me threats on my voice mail. United Cash Loans stated they are not affiliated with this person and I should just disreguard the message. I tried to call the other number back but it had a voice mail not set up. I didn't even know what the call was about untill I read the messegs on this site and realized it was related to the payday loan. Maybe the loan company should be held responsible.

This man named "Jonathan" called my work phone number and said the same thing that all of you guys are reporting-that I owed them money and that I should have my attorney contact them or that there would be a lawsuit-he left this number on my WORK VOICEMAIL!!  When I called him back I told him I wanted my company to be taken off his call list.  He first told me "ok honey" and then when I said I wanted to confirm my phone number he said "you are so sexy" GROSS!!

914-612-7261 should be reported to your local police!  This has to stop.  Beware, because these folks will try and take your money if you have applied for a payday loan!  SO SCARY.
