I don't know if I just did the equivalent of replying to a Spam message, but I did *69 and called them back (it's now 12:20pm Sunday).  Voice menu identified them as American Lung Ass'n.  A few choices later and a "remove my phone number" option was presented.  I keyed in my number and they said it'd take 30 days for removal.  I figured they already had my phone number that the machine picks up, so they already know it's a viable number.

We'll see what happens.

constantly being harrasses by American Lung / 917-210-4615 4-5 calls per day everyday. I used *57 to log/call trace with verizon, they charged me $4.00 per trace, yet DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.

is there anyway to stop this daily annoying call

I too have been receiving these call non stop every day sometimes twice a day morning and night. I never answer, but tonight after entering the number into Google I found these posts, so I went to the American Lung Association website and entered the following text into their web contact form: "I want to make you aware that someone is posing as American Lung on caller ID and is calling from a New York Number (917-210-4615). They call every day multiple times/per day.  You need to take action because this is scarring your image. Please see this link: https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/9172104615"  We'll see if they respond to me.  I also called the number back and they said they were the American Lung Association but I don't believe it.  It was an automated recording that gave me the option of removing my number which I did, but I'm not confident that it will stop the calls.

This call comes in early morning and late night including Sunday. No one on the line when answered.

I just got a call from that number. I let the machine pick up. It was a recorded message thanking us for helping the American Lung Association by sending out neighborhood mailings. My wife actually DOES do mailings for the American Lung Association, so this sounds pretty genuine to me.

this number call almost every day, never leave a message, I never pick-up. I don't believe this belongs to the lung association.  I will report this to the   do-not-call-list

Just received a call from this number. Had to say hello 3 times before anyone answered. When I asked who was calling I heard a mumble on the other end and they hung up, basiclly no conversation at all. Why is it that when on the "do not call list" I get these calls.

They call me 7 days/week.  They would hang up if I answered.  Finally to make it stop I confronted them.

They said they wanted to send me 13 letters to send to my neighbors to raise money for American Lung Association. I said "No, because you call me 7 days/week and I am on the Do Not Call List."

These people were calling me every day, at various times between 8am-9pm, for weeks. They stopped for a while, but they're at it again now. Sometimes when the answering machine picks up, they leave messages saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?"

Call daily - sometimes Caller ID shows American Lung (which would exclude them from DNC rules) and sometimes same number but "name unknown".  This is nonsense.

We're getting at least one call a day from them showing American Lung on the caller I.D.  Also, "Unknown Caller" who says "Hello, Hello" over and over.  It's always a woman....not sure if it's the same number.  If this really is American Lung, I'm very disappointed with their harrassing calls.

I don't feel so alone now since I've read these posts.  But, it's still annoying.

Calls 2-3 times a day. Never leaves a message. Caller I.D is American Lung, but I can't believe this organization would continue calling for weeks at a time.

called twice tonight

Number rings my landline in Philadelphia, PA, and when I answer, no one is on the other end.  This happened a half dozen times in the last few weeks.

Log onto the State you live in Attorney General's Page and file a complaint regarding the phone number or any harassing agency.  I had two agencies relentlessly harassing me the an automated intro then a rep from 8am-7pm, 2-3 times per week for a debt.  At first I was polite and told them I couldn't pay anything, but a different rep fromt he same company kept calling me re. the same [***].  I reported them and the calls stopped by filing a complaint form with the phone number on it.  Here is a sample of the form I filed to stop the calls or drastically reduced the calls to nothing.
