The calls ring in for 2 rings and no message is left. Just irritating since I work different hours and need to sleep. Want them to stop.

THREE today calls from these jerks! I don't answer and when it goes to voice mail they hang up.
And I'm on the Do Not Call list!

Got a call from a native English speaking guy named Ben (he sounded midwestern) saying they are looking for a few homes to install a free wireless home security system.  I said no and gave him the hang up.

The next time this pest calls, I am telling him that he is being reported to the BBB. Maybe that will spare others from this idiot. I am over 2500 miles away!!

I received a call on my cell from 918 442 0729 with no message left on 12/22/10. This my first call and hopefully my last. Are there anyt other alternatives to stop this from happening other than the no call list which seems to be ineffective?

I got one of these calls a few days ago. The caller said they had gotten my number from an online retailer that I had an affiliation with. When I demanded who the online retailer was (I'm never nice to these scum bags), he said a sales associate could certainly help me with that question.

It occurs to me now after reading all the comments online about this number that this is a variety of phishing. But it isn't to get any personal information from you; it is to establish an "association" with you. By establishing an "association" with you, they can skirt the Do Not Call list. The Do Not Call list does not apply to any companies with which you have established an "association". (For example, the insurance company associated with your bank can call you.) Once you have initiated an "association" (by agreeing to have a sales associate call you, or - I'm sorry to say - by calling the number back), the company can then sell your phone number to any and all of its affiliated companies. And it will.

The company that appears to own the phone number (FullTel), is not making these calls; it is merely the host of the these types of phone banks.

So, don't call the number back. The whole "press 1 to be removed from the call list" is a load of BS. Seriously, do you think that a company that will not identify itself on its answering service is going to honor your request to stop calling?

Also, for all of you who are outraged by these calls because you are on the Do Not Call list: don't be so naive. There have always been snake oil salesmen, and there will always be snake oil salesmen, no matter how many regulations are written. Take some personal responsibility about defending yourself from charlatans instead of handing over that responsibility to a bureaucracy that cannot possibly defend you in the way you want to be defended. Take your outrage out on the low life you is calling you, not on some toothless regulation.

I am on a do not call list. I thought it was illegal to telemarket on my private cell.

Stop calling from this number

Rec'd a call from 918-442-0729.  Guy said he was from Home Security System and wanted to know my first and last name.  He would not tell me how he got my number.  Clearly phishing.  Very annoying.

I received a call from this number, and it was quickly followed up (within a few minutes) with a phone call from apx alarm, which is listed by Google as a scam.

those stammers called my cell number 5 times -- my number listed as DO NOT CALL NUMBER
calling me 5 times in the row is very illegal as I am listed as DO NOT CALL and number kept very private unlisted any place..

I personally think itcould be the government...Then again could simply be just telemarketing per usual...Right?

Called back this number to see who they were (ignored the call when it came in) and they had a voice prompt that said if I didn't want any more calls and to be put on a do not call list, to press 1.  Then it said "thank you, good-bye" and hung up.  Hopefully this is the end of this.

Answered this number this morning, no one on the line.  Called again this pm, no voicemail.
