Recent activities on my SECU account - fraud prevention

Totally fraudulent contact!  Received a call yesterday morning from this number.  Female caller stated she was calling from State Emp Credit Union Fraud Prevention.  Asked for call back and provided a case number.

This is a good number. I did not call it directly though, I logged into the SECU website using the 888 number and verified this number with a person. The person I spoke with also verified the name of the person that called me. I had verify my identity, which is normal. No one asked me for my credit card number. They did ask me about recent purchases, which I had indeed made. All this being said, you need to be cautious and vigilant.

I agree with Greg. I received a call minutes ago from the same number speaking of fraud om the account. Never asked for the card number or account numbers and after hanging up i called SECU using a different number and they too verified that the previous call wasnt a scam. Good number but always double check.

Totally legit call. I called back and the gentleman only asked about a charge on my account that appeared to be fraudulent. I made the charge. There was something wrong with the site's payment processing that I was trying to use so, it showed up but, only as $0.00. I used Paypal to complete the transaction.

Husband got a call from this #.  They left a voicemail stating they were Amir with SECU and said there was fraudulent activity on his account, to please call 919-856-5005. Our accounts are through LGFCU, not SECU.  Contacted LGFCU and they verified they had not contacted us.  Also told me they would not have given that much info over the phone.

This is a legitimate line for the State Employee Credit Union Fraud Prevention service. I've called the SECU 888 number first to verify and they confirmed that it's theirs. I called the number and a different teller assisted me to check that some of the recent transactions were actually mine, as I was traveling overseas.

Is credit union calling if you made big purchases on credit card. I made too big purchases about 2 hours ago.

Legitimate call from SECU. I bank through LGFCU but they are managed by SECU, hence the call. I entered the wrong security code while placing an order and they wanted to confirm it was me. They did not request any card or bank info. If you get a call (they can fake a number easily) and they ask for this, HANG UP and call the number on the website. They will confirm it for you. NEVER give that information out over the phone.

I got a call from them on a Sunday, who does that? Anyways, they said something about an authorization for $0.01. I  dont even use SECU.

Got a call from this number today on my cell. I don't answer if not in my contact list. Man left a message but i couldn't understand it. He was speaking very fast and had a very strong SE Asian accent. I could only understand about 4-5 words. Sounded like he said he was from SECU Fraud Dept. He left a number but the number was a 418 area code. I contacted LGFCU and they said they did not call.

Forgot to add I still have the message, taking it to PD and to SECU in morning for them to take action.

I received a call from the same number stating he was from SECU fraud department. Saying my debit card had been compromised.
