Listen, these CMC ppl started calling for my dad about 6months ago, and my dad spoke to them...and I don't think it's a collection agency...but I think they are looking for $...

Anyway, I don't know who they are but I'm annoyed because they keep calling my house # morning # evening....

So - Time to get even....
After refusing to stop calling my #...
I call them to annoy them and show them how it feels...did it about 45times today(no exaggeration)...and I'm not done yet...everytime they call, I'm gonna call them back and annoy them w/ my phone calls...

We need some sort of automated call system to keep hosing their phone lines.  Keep in mind, they are calling our cell phones, and leaving messages - which we pay for air time!!!!!

These people call once every 60 days for me. Credit management service telling me I owe Time warner. I faxed them a copy of the return equipment receipt, they say ok. 60 days later they call and I go thru it again. The issue is solved for everyone but them. Time warner acknowledges I owe nothing, yet every 60 days they call.

This person "Justin" just tried to call my husband from the number 920-321-0810. He asked for him by name. I told him he isn't home (which he isn't). He asked where he is, for a number to call him, when he was going to be back. I just answered no to every question. I said I would take a message. He told me his name is "Justin" and gave me the number 866-844-2388, said to tell him it was important for him to call him back, and then asked me to repeat it back to him. Who are these people?

They phone each and every day although I never pick up. No message is ever left by them.  This has been going on for month and I too am registered on the Do Not Call LIst.  

Is there a way to stop these calls?

we live in the uk and have recently changed landline the number we have belonged to a roger boxall when we went on 192.com and put the persons name in it gave us our phone number but his name and current address no matter how many times we tell these companys this person isnt on that number and they even have the wrong address they still continue to call

Leo who answered my callback claimed they are  in Greenbay.Refused to answer when I asked if he represented the company who I supposedly owed 150$ to from a  pay advance,then he went into a defensive mode when I asked to be removed from the "list" saying that I was waisting his time  that I owed them money and that he was hanging up.All I said to that was" goodboy..hang up B***h!, ;-)

If you don't think its a real company..Why don't you go there and talk to them...ALL this talk about a scam and shutting them down...If your in Wisconsin or Green Bay area go there..

This number called while away from phone. When called the number back they were very evasive and would not identify themselves. Any upfront, upstanding company would at least identify themselves. They seem to like to use intimidation and coercion to do whatever it is they do. They need to b put out of business and charges files against them in whatever means is neccesary. This type of business practices and downright intimidation and rudenesss should never be tolerated. These people are no better than anyone else and need to treat people with respect and dignity. This company is a total joke.

I got a call from this number asking me to pay a gas bill for a place i have never lived.  I explained that I have never lived here and i was called a liar and that I need to pay my bills. I told them I do and they have the wrong person and they told me that I can not prove that I never lived there..They cant prove that i did.  These people will not stop calling me and are very rude.  Anyone have any ideas that i can tell these people to make them understand that they have the wrong person...  Apparently they do not understand English.

They seem to be on a two week cycle for robodialing. I started getting calls about 6 months ago, no voicemail usually.
I called the number 866-844-2358 listed above , asked to speak with a manager and  also if they have a "robodialer" with the 9203210810 number.

Then I explained how I had called two months ago and asked to be removed from their list as I am not who they are looking for. "well I don't see any record of you calling before" . I commented that they must not take good notes I was warned about harassment.......Nice.....

they just called me to today saying there collecting a dept for a company i quit 6 months ago and he wouldnt tell me anything hes was majorly rude saying we need you to pay today on ur debt i think its a scam prolly

I received a call from this number, its a legitimate collection agency called cmc.  My debt was over a physicians bill from a workman's comp claim which my insurance company had not taken care of.

I don't know who these people are, but I have a prepaid cell phone , so these people can't even know who they are calling. If it is a collection company, I don't owe ANY bills! I have no credit cards, I pay everything in cash, and  I have state insurance. The problem is they never answer when I pick up, not to mention have woken up my child at his "very difficult" nap...they are just wasting my minutes. I don't listen to their messages or answer anymore, so they need to quit calling!!!!

The reason they can't ID themselves is because of the FDCPA, fair debt collection practices act, it says that the only person the collection agency can ID itself to is the person that owes the debt. If they ID themselves to anyone else they receive a fine up to $250,000 and can be shut down IF they do it TO often. Now think logically, would you want them telling everyone that answers your phone that you owe a debt? No, no one would. That's why the FDCPA was put into effect, to stop them from telling your friends, family, employer, and community.
Now if you're the wrong person, tell them. If you're the right person but have no intention of paying a debt, tell them, then they will report it to the person you owe the debt to and then they will take you to court and your wages or social security or taxes, or etc will be garnished until the debt is paid. Which doesn't include the fact that your credit will be destroyed throughout the entire time you play games and refuse to pay. Unless, that is, you prove you don't owe it.

Credit Management Control.  They are debt collectors - anything from utility bills to medical bills and then some. Usually no messages; just hang ups on the answering machine. The one and only message left said (not asked, SAID) This message is for Xxxx, call Whitney at xxx-xxx-xxxx. I erased the message.

Unfortunately the pre-paid cell phone number was probably connected to someone else who had debt. Check your cell phone features to see if you can block calls. The one I had before my current phone had that feature. I miss that feature on the one I have now. Good luck.
