Got a few calls, but no one ever says anything.  I blocked the number.

Its Credit Management Control its a collection agency. For Emergency Room Doctor Bills, Bounced Walgreens (FYI, if walgreens checks aren't paid in a timely fashion they take you to court for stealing) and Aurora Checks, Just Energy Bills, Government Tickets (which for FYI you realize if you don't pay after a certain amount of time on something even as small as a parking ticket they can put a warrant out for your arrest), and etc

Though the majority of the bills they have in their office they can settle for between 30% to 50% to 60% of what you owe. One person owed $780 on a 5 year old bill, was offered a settlement for 60% off, in 4 monthly payments of $78 and they were done with the bill.

But if you want them to stop calling just say you don't care every time they call and then they'll close your account and send it somewhere else. It might take a month, but then it will close and you'll stop receiving calls.

I have called them back several times over the last 6 months explaining that I'm not the "TANESHA" person they are looking for. My name is not Tanesha, it doesn't sound like Tanesha, I've had this phone number for almost 3 yrs and still I get calls almost every week. Im reporting them to that website listed above.

I've called back several times to let them know that I am not who they are looking for. If this person had my phone number at one time it was over 3 yrs ago. This is bs! If I was loaded with $ I'd pay "Tanesha So & So's" bill just to stop you from calling me!

Thank you. I just reported them. I'm not the person they are trying to reach and I've told them that several times. Enough is enough!

This comment from NV is likely part of the mass spam campaign pursued through much of 2010 by Centennial Law in Ventura, desperate to drive traffic to one of its several sloppy web sites.

This is another in that class of mercenary law firms which preys upon the fears of alleged debtors about as badly as the collectors. They do nothing which consumers cannot do for themselves at a much lower cost and far more wisely. My report from July 2011 is linked below.

1st time~just recieved a call from this #, never saw before. Didn't answer it & no message left.

Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act section 806:

Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with the intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at that called number is in direct violation of the FDCPA.

If harasments persists you are legally allowed to file a civil suit case against them awarding damages up to $1000. However harassment is based upon the discretion of the small claims court judge. It might be beneficial to mention this upon a call from CMC and that the next time they hear from you it will be with your lawyer. That should quite the phone calls.

well if your people that answered the phone was not so f    in rude maybe the person you guys call might make payments

Number calls constantly. never states nature of call.

These People keep calling me, I don't know who they are or what they want they never say. They call all the time. It's extremely annoying! They are going about it the wrong way if they want information, or money or whatever. Who are you? Why are you calling, where are you located? Why doesn't the caller I'd say who you r . Tacky and your never going to get the results you seek by being unknown [***]!!!

This number has been calling for months. We have a feature on our phone that allows us to block numbers. The phone rings once, then the call is disconnected. They call every 3-5 minutes about 5 times in a row.

I recevied several calls from them today but they refused to ID themselves would only tell me the name of their company is call center.I told them that is not a name of a company just the dynamics for their office operations. They told me they were based out of Green Bay Wisconsin. I called the number back after they hung up on me and the guy answered the phone whispering like he was from a phone sex company. I asked him why he was being a pervert and he laughed. he hung up on me again so I called back and got a lady on the phone who refused to let me speak to a manager because she had no record of them ever calling me. She said unless I was willing to give her my personal information then she would not even ID their company name because it was private. I hung up this time

Thank you for the info, but people are WELL AWARE that credit will be destroyed with not paying a debt. Often time people don't re-pay debt not from them "playing games and refusing to pay" as you so elequelently put it, but because they are BROKE.  My husband and I have debt from medical bill incurred in 2004 when he had his appendix removed. Our insurance was terrible back then, and we owe so much money. We have tried to pay what we could, when we could, but as of late have not had money in our budget to pay it back. So when we tell a debt collector on the other line that we can't afford to pay it, we really cant pay it no playing games there.
