Area Code 929 is in Pakistan, our DNCL does not apply outside of Canada !

There is no such area code, I checked. But I must agree these calls are really getting annoying. Telling me it's the last chance I have to pay my credit card bill before legal action is taken. I don't even own a credit card.

When I asked them to spell the name of their company, they spelled Card Service ----Now, and then she told me to go to hell and have a nice day.  Nice.

Strange that the FTC is doing their best to shut these jerks down, but the phones keep ringing. Mine rings sometimes several times in the same day from these idiots. :-(

This people call really late in the night, very bad!

929 is a new area code for Metro New York.
It has not been assigned to any phone carrier yet except for MetroPCS which has not assigned it to their phones yet.
There are "fake" caller-ID fabrications as "Caller-ID spoofing". Marketing and scam calls disguise their real phone numbers by changing them to anything they wish therefore they can get through the "unknown number" block.
You try to call them back and you get a fast busy signal.
This is the best explanation.
