It is a bill collector call, and its my exes bill, hes giving out my number..OMG I hate exes. wasnt even married to the A hole, they said they will remove # we'll see LOL

I got calls from this number too. thanksto yu guys i was able to easily call them and find out what this was.

i will let u know if they stop calling or not.

This company calls a business number, every 5 minutes for an hour looking for someone who apparently had the number before it was given as a business number. Ironically the person they are looking for is not nor has ever been an employee.
We have recieved the recording stating the name of the person they are looking for, which is illegal under Fair Debt and Collection Act, then they state they are a collection agency which is illegal when giving identifying information such as a persons full legal name and information.....

I have spoken to these people numerous times and they keep calling not accepting that this number is a business line and not a personal number....

Gulf Coast Collections faxed information to my company fax which identified the man the company is looking for. Which is a serious infraction under the Federal Fair Debt and Collection Act.

Gulf Coast buys debt from companies who by law own and have the right to attmpt collection on......Read the Laws on Fair Debt and Collection Act.....

Mr. Jack Brown and/or his firm is leaving messages for people to call back my personal cell phone 727-409-6018.  I've had this number for 12 years, I am NOT associated with him or Gulfcoast and have made calls into his office toi get who ever is leaving his messages (personal assist who needs to be fired or the auto dialing service he paid for to get his money back) so please do not call me anymore!

I receive calls from this number. I used a search and the number is from somewhere in Sarasota. Phone numbers that arent recognized arent answered so, they will never speak to me.  Thanks for the info everyone!

They can call after hours but when you call the number 30 seconds later, they are closed for the evening. It's a collection agency out of Sarasota (Gulf Coast Collection Bureau, Inc.) as other have stated.  They have been calling my phone for months and leaving messages for a woman I've never heard of, considering I'm a male, they have the wrong number and won't quit calling. If they don't stop, I will file a report with FTC.

Look up the company information on sunbiz.org......

Look for the owners and company officers names and check the property appraisers site for florida and get their public records and call them at home....

The business owners and officers information are a matter of Public Recod aka Freedom of information act set forth by Federal Law just the same as your information is public record....

Dont give out your phone number to anyone, you cannot be refused service or any type of care for not having phone service.

People learn your rights on the fair debt and collection act, which by the way is the Federal Laws on collection practices and what your rights are and what collection cannot do.....

just called them back. Got a person. He says we're now off the list. Don't know who "margaret thornberg" is but somehow they ended up with my phone. Very very annoying.

This is a company with incompetent folks working for them. They call my cell phone which until 6 months ago was my sister's cell phone. They leave a message for my sister on this cell phone that is no longer her's even though the voicemail states that the phone belongs to a guy. Why would you leave a message for a woman on a man's mailbox. So, I call the number back from my home phone later so I can give the company my sisters # and have them stop calling my cell. I use my home phone to call this company so that I can navigate the cell phone to locate these different #'s. They were supposed to stop calling me when I gave her my current phone number. However now they call my home phone and occasionly my cell phone.
Do not bother trying to notify this company of their continuos mistakes because the staff is incapable of listening and are apt to interupt you and call you a liar.
It is my belief that this organizations parent company is Sallie Maye, because I also recieve the same type of calls from them, and now they call both my home and cell phones.

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

This afternoon (Sunday of all days), I received a call from this number - 941-684-1710.  My Caller ID displayed the words "Out of Area" and the telephone number.  When I picked up my phone the other end hung up.  A search of the internet identifies the caller as Gulf Coast Collection Bureau Inc. in Florida.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one on my voice mail.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.

If more people would complain, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one report alone.  It takes many reports before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

After receiving a few calls with an automated message for a former in-law, I called the number above (941-927-6999) and only provided my phone number and explained that I have not been in contact with the person that they were looking for for about 10 years, the guy was very polite and said he would remove my number from their system.  Hopefully that is the last I will see this number as an incoming call!

OOOK!  So the number belongs to a collection agency.  This gives you some leverage, if you choose to use it.  I am not an attorney, but this sounds like harassment and harassment is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  In other words, this is a federal offense.  You can read this law online.  Just do a search for Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Most states also have similar laws.  Or, you can do what I do.  My phone company, Comcast, has a feature that allows me to block incoming calls from specific numbers.  Your phone company probably offers a similar service.

I get this call every week, sometimes every day. It is an automated system looking Raul Sosa. I hang up like it asks if you are not Raul Sosa, but it does no good, they keep calling back. I am going to buy a whistle   :-)

I get this call every couple days, and as I live in California now it always wakes me up really early. They already sent me the collections bill (which seeing as I never even got the original bill, was rather annoying to find out it was sent to collections.) and I sent it back saying I could pay the full thing no problem, (it was only 80$ -.-) included the payment, and figured it was done and over with. But instead they never cashed the payment and are continuing to harass me.

This number has called me once a week(or in some cases everyday). I read previous comments and found out it is a collection agency... I do not know the woman they talk about nor do I owe any company any money... since I am only 15... why won't they stop...?

Debt collector. Even though the person they name is not living at the house and I followed the recording to let them know this, the number continues to call here every day now.

They call just about every day, before 9 am. Maybe I should take a drive  to there office with my friends with ball bats. I dont owe them any money and they wont stop calling.
