We have received more than our share of horrible telephone calls from GIAN, Inc.  I have reported them to several web sites including FCC.  What really seemed to work:  1. Do not answer their calls.  2.  We went on vacation for two weeks and saw on our caller ID they had called alot at first and then it tapered off.  Since the middle of December 2009, we have had no more calls from them.  Perhaps this will work for some of you.  Found out by mistake but it works!

Im on the opposite end of the deal here.....seems this Gian, Inc.  is using MY phone number as their outgoing # and now I keep receiving calls from irate people wanting to know why I keep calling them...and hanging up........ITS NOT ME!!! I explain this to people and so far they have understood...but what happens when this GIAN really pisses someone off and they google my name and address from the phone number showing on the caller ID and come looking for me...

This same number has called me a few times, but when I swipe the answer button on my iPhone, my phone SHUTS OFF, Immediately after I swipe it to say hello. When I finally get the phone rebooted and back on, it doesn't even show the caller ID in my recent call list, so I can't even report the number.

SO ANNOYING, I believe this is the same 949 number everyone else is talking about.

And the worst part is, I'm on the East coast in Canada, so they're calling everyone..  not just Americans. Someone down there in the States DO SOMETHING about these guys!!!

Whatever politician who thought it was a good idea to make cell phone numbers public, will see an eternity of darkness, weeping and knashing of their teeth.
