Just got the call. Just want to let everyone know a few things that may ease your minds. The FBI does not do regular police work ie arrests for unpaid personal loans. Furthermore the police can't come arrest you for an unpaid loan without a judgement against you and a warrant issued for your arrest. And lastly, an attorney representing the party on the tableside opposite you will NEVER contact you nor take your calls as this is a serious ethical breach that will land them in front of the ethics board and likely lead to the permanent loss of their licence to practice law. They will only speak to your attorney, just as your attorney will never contact an counter-party to any lawsiut you might be involved in, they too will only speak to the counter attorney.

I had the same number call me about 6 times today requesting that he needed my attorneys information,It is the same man you are all describing with a thick indian accent.  I asked him what for and he told me if was for a loan that I never took out and he said that I had the money in my account? I told him, well take me to court then because I am going to counter-sue you for harassment. He proceeded to curse me out and then hung up on me. I called back and i informed this man I was going to have the authorities look into him because he is trying to collect my personal information, I judt dont know which authority to call about this and how to go about the process but it is absolutely rediculous to have someone calling you and telling you you have lawsuits filed against you and that the authorities are involved and basically trying to use scare tactics to illeglly obtain information.

Once again they call from a 9513890292 and keep on telling me i am going to jail . I know it is all a scam butt how do i get ahold of someone to make it stop?

I got a call at my work from a man claiming his name is Jack Davis and I have to call back 951-389-0292 or they will send the sherriff to my work tomorrow. They had the name of my job, my social, my address - EVERYTHING. I called the number back six times and they picked up and hung up on me. Finally I called and got a man who sounds exactly like the Jack Davis guy, he said that his name is Ronnie Cooper and he is a lawyer and he asked me if I wanted him to explain why he is calling and why they are sending the sherriff to my work tomorrow. I said Yes please explain, Id also like to know where you are calling from and he put me on hold, for a few mins before I hung up.

I want to ask everyone on this forum... have you recently applied for a Pay Day Loan online? I did on Thursday of last week and ever since, I have gotten several calls just like this one and also have an email box FULL of crap from "Lenders".  I am kinda afraid that they have my social. How can we stop them?? I dont want to deal with this simply because I needed a few dollars to get diapers and things for my kids before pay day. Guess I learned my lesson there!!

this ronnie copper has been calling me since monday to my work and finally when i call him he tells me tha FBI and The sherrifes well be comen to my work tomorrow morning i would like this guy to stop calling me to work and to my mothers cell phone he needs to stop harassing pepoel and scaring pepoel cause that can get pepeol fired from their work. This is going to make loan companys bankrupt if this guy keeps calling pepeol to tell them the fbi and sherriefs are going to arrest them. thank u

This low lifes called me yesterday stating they needed my attorney to call them. They refused to give me any info as to why only kept repeating there were criminal charges (I thought he said Seminole charges. pissed him off when I told him I wasn't familiar with what that was). He began to rattle off all my personal information (employer, bank account, SSN, address etc) I told him he had the wrong person. In the end, he said he was going to drag me from my office like a bulldog and shoot me in the head. My son answered the next call. He is 12 years old. He told him the same. He was going to shoot him too. These are animals. I think I am going to post their phone number under the *** section on craigslist. Please keep this post going until they are found.

He said he was with the state attorney general's office in Pakistan and he was going to F me with 2 D**KS.  He left 14 messages yesterday and 11 more today!!! Creepy!  How can this be dealt with?!?!?

I've been getting calls from this number all morning the man on the phone keeps saying that i have 3 criminal charges against me and do i have a lawyer. I know that is a lie but i asked him anyway what they were for and he just kept talking around the question so i hung up on him. He called me a few more times and i didn't answer finallyl i just blocked his number.

I, too, Have been receiving harassing calls from this idiot. I returned his call and he was persistent on trying to get additional info about me.The threat of being told i would be arrested for something i had no idea about was nerve racking. I told him that I was going to report him and he still keeps calling.He even went to the extreme of telling me to go f*** myself when I was trying to obtain info about him.He also called under a different name and number and pretended to be a rep for some college grant agency. I have put in a fraud alert with equifax and other credit bureau. It's obvious he need more info to use your identity for whatever he is trying to do.Please get the authorities involved with this to get these people behind bars.

This number has called my home stating they needed  my attorneys information concerning a legal case against me.I called the number back to speak with Ronnie Cooper and could not get anyone to talk to me about this. The gentleman (who had a very heavy Indian accent) told me the charges tha were filed against me and said I would be getting arrested because I had money deposited into my account and then it was not there within one hour when they said they tried to recover their money because I was not approved for the loan. I also told my husband to check our account for any deposits. The man on the phone got very rude with me and wanted to know who I was talking to and when I told him my husband he proceeded to tell me that I must not give a d**n about my name and that I should shut up and  listen to him.When I told him I was wanting to see if any money had been deposited into my account. He proceeded to tell me that if I did not cooperate that he would have the local sheriff come and serve me with an arrest warrant at my place of work. When I told him that I was unemployed he said that was fine because he could easily take me from my home kicking and screaming like the little [***] I was. I am going to call and report this to my local authorities and even the BBB. You should do the same.

Obviously these people have no clue or morals.. They were calling me on charges??? I have no charges since I am a chapter 7 bankruptcy client hello!!..and furthermore they were calling me at work... point is they dont listen abviously HEY U ARE CALLING THE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE IN NYC!! YOU can go to jail.. come on.. stop calling me for stupidity and get the real mad guys..

I received calls from this number this morning.  I was told there was a law suite against me.  When I asked what the case was about and who filed it, I was told that information would be available later in the conversation.  He continued by asking me to get paper and a pen to write down my lawyers name.  I told him I did not need a lawyer and if he could not give me information about the case dont call back.  He continued to call.  After I flustrated him by not cooperating he told me he would send a sheriff with paperwork to my place of employment tomorrow.  We will see what tomorrow will bring but I am confident this is a scam.

I got a message from my job today to call Scott @ 951 389 0292. I called and he told me he was calling in regards to me having two cases. I told him I didnt have two cases. I hung up. He called back and told me I would be arrest at my job and he even said my job name. Scary. He said he had my as # but he never said it to me!!

Ronnie Cooper has been calling me too 10 times a day... Someone need to stop him and how he is getting our SSN.... The law need to be in this!

I have also recieved a phone call from this same number 951-309-0292.  The first time they called I answered but could not understand a word that the guy was saying so I hung up.  Then they called again and left a voicemail saying that me or my attorney need to call back.  I called back and there was no answer.  I am changing my phone number immediately.

i just received a message today left on someones phone from this number 951-389-0292 stating that me or my lawyer should call them asap. i call and says give me a mintue he man on the other end with a strong accent that i coulnt understand ask me my name once i gave it to he proceeds to tell me that he is a lawyer call from a law office told me that i am being sued by his compsny for a payday loan, in which i never received. He said that i had to pay 500.00 today if i didnt that he was sending the police to my job to lock me up and if that happened i would have to pay more money, i ask him how am i being sued for money i never received he told me that he wasnt going to argue with me which i wasnt doing just asking him a question. he then told me that if i paid the 500.00 dollars i wouldnt have to worry about the arrest, so  to avoid this matter i asked him how would i be able to take care of this and if i could pay him by credit card over the phone he told me no it had to be casj, told me to get the cash out the atm go to a safeway no where else take an additional 10.00 with me i could either western union the money to some number he was going to give me or i could buy a money pak card and pay that way. he also stayed on the phone with me for a hour said to let him know when i got to the safeway and he would tell me what to do from there. plz somebody tell  me if these ppl are real because it has me really scared i have two kids living on my owe and i dont want nothing to happen to me and my kids are here and they see something happening to their mom. i have been reading the other comments and it seems to be a scam but i still not sure so if anyone read my comment can you plz let me know if this is really a scam because this situation really has me scared. i have never been threw something like this in my life or have i been sued. He also told me that if we got disconnected to call him back on this number 415-329-6010 which i goggled and it came up to be a landline phone located in CA.
