i think you are all moronic not to read the details of the promotion before signing an entry at the mall or movies! they by law can sell your info to anyone they want. guess you learn the hard way!

Hey guys I started working at pacific monarch about one week ago and everything that had been said here us pretty accurate. It's not a scam but unfortunately there are unethical salespeople that will say anything to get you to agree to come down. Here are the facts: It is a time share company. You WILL receive a gift for sitting through the presentation! However realize that there are so many restrictions on when you can use your free vacation you'll only be able to go mid week and offseason. Not to bad for an hour of your time but why can't they just be honest!!!! Some people have won 100,000 but don't bet on it. No high pressure sales, come on, it's a time share presentation!!! We all know that their will be pressure. I have seen the entry forms that people fill out. They are all legitamate but only come with a code as to where they were filled out so sometimes the salesguys mix it up. And f.y.I. They don pick by random. You only qualify for a free gift if you are married, living with someone or a single woman and make more than 35000. They ask you to bring two forms of i.d. Second form has to be a credit card. Shady right? They won't steal your info but they want to make sure that everyone has the ability to purchase on site. Hmmmm..... Can't think of anything else. Try not to judge a company too harshly by a few salespeople who will sat anything. I have spoken with time share owners and they love the company.

Pretty much the same as everyone else here. Got a call from Jason. Went through the whole set up about the drawing and winning, never once mentioned the timeshare. Then at the end said that his supervisor was going to call in like 5 minutes with the claim number. He did, and only then after everything is done they dropped the info about it being a timeshare presentation and it had to be my spouse and I or no go. Oh, and if you have kids under 10 (4 according to Jason) you either had to trust some care thing there while you sat for 2 hours or not take them. Anyway, not saying it's a huge scam, but it is very shady nonetheless. Totally going... yeah right.

Got a call from 619-516-4276 Pacific Monarch.  Asked for my husband.. then asked If I was his wife.. I said yes.  Asked me to take a msg.  He swiped his card at the grand prix in Long beach and entered a contest for 100,000.00  and they have good news for him.  Left the number 800-368-1010 x 54 to call back.
Pacific Moncharch looks to me a time share place .  Seems to be they buy the names and #'s and lead you to beleive you won the 100k.   Guessing when you call you get some time at a time share as they try to sell you one!

I have gone to a few of these presentations.  I got a trip to Vegas, all expenses paid with food and show vouchers.  It was 4 days (mon - thur), and we had the best time.  I also got 4 Dodger tickets (went to that last week), and 2 free passes to Sea World San Diego, going in a few weeks.  I got a five day trip to Hawaii (room and food paid), but responsible to pay travel expenses so we were unable to do that since we couldn't afford the plane tickets (I'm a starving student).  My sister-in-law won an all expenses paid trip to Cabo (room and travel expenses paid).

Anyways, they usually do give you what they promise, you just have to sit through the presentation which is very annoying, but hey why not spend a few hours, if you will get something out of it.  Just don't give in to their sales pitch, and you'll be fine.

About the lady in this article, sorry about her luck, and I hate to sound heart-less, but if you're not, um, smart enough, to read the fine print on a piece of paper (including flipping it over to see if anything is on the back) that you write your name, address, phone number, and annual income on, then you're probably not, um, any more intelligent to understand the terms when they call you.  just sayin..

I just got a call from Roberto who claimed I filled out a card at the mall. Which I did not do because I don't want people calilng my cell and that's where he was calling me. I told him I wasn't interested before he even started his spiel and he laughed and said, "How do you know you're not interested? Do you even know what I'm calling about?" I told him that I don't recall filling out a card at the mall, I do not want these calls and I'm not interested.

Roberto asked me to please do him a favor and not fill out any more cards if I don't want these calls.

Sure thing, dude - thing is, I NEVER FILLED OUT A CARD IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!

My parents received that call as well. A lady set up an appointment with them in ontario CA however my parents did win a trip to vegas and a trip to catalina islands. They did give a presentation on their beautiful timeshare, but they did not obligate to buy anything. My parents were pleased with the experience.
