Got a call from this number saying that I won a 100 dollar gift card... Lmao! Number shows up as "Wamart" not Walmart lol... Anyways he says I won a gift card that can be used all over the place.. So I asked where I won this gift card from and he said from a catalog.. I laughed and then he said I won it from a website... I said oh yea? What site? ... He said mxmx.com...I laughed again.. He then said oh wait this was a rebate not a gift card... I told him he was full of [***] and that I was reporting him to the police and then he began to laugh and mock me... Sad thing is, I'm sure they get thru to slot of people that easily hand their info over... Be careful out there...hope this may help someone

On my caller id the name shows as

Called left no message.

Got a call from this number and I pressed 1 to "claim my reward" and talk to someone because I knew it was a scam. The guy I talked to was pretty mad when I told him I wasn't giving him my credit card information. He said "Ma'am, you do have to pay shipping and handling, but if you don't want to participate, there are plenty of other people who will" I said that was just fine and he hung up.

I applied at a few job sites, one asked for money after I had given up information.  I think one of them sold my number.

Basically, they wanted your credit card information to process more than $5.95, so no surprises there, right? Glad you hung up, but expect them to call you back since, you gave them your full name. They will use a new number to call you and they will ask for you by your full name the next time.
