Received a call on my cell phone (AT&T).  I did not answer.  No message left. Have no idea who this is from.

Got a call today, I didn't pick up but I called it back and a recording from "Active Periodicals" picked up. This company is a magazine company.

Nov. 13th. I made a stupid move. I fell for a stupid gimick to get a free snap on toolbox n tools. I was ready to take some surveys in return. It was impossible to finish and I don't have the toolbox! long story short, I now receive these phone calls constantly since. Stupid me!!!!!

Got a call from this number this afternoon, did not answer.

This is my first call but checking online, it seems lots of people have gotten calls from this number. Do know who they are?

I have been receiving calls on my cell phone that I have not answered from this company. I took very little searching on line to find information about this company. I found the following information:

I called the Deerfield location as that is the location I found on line for the number showing on my caller ID on my cell phone. Lady answered the phone, I explained that active periodicals had beed calling my cell phone. She asked how I got this number and I answered off the internet. She then transfered me to the sales department. I got the quick pitch and said I had no money and they were calling my cell phone and I would like that number removed fronm their list. She took my cell number and said she would remove it from their list.

basically its a rip off group from a connected network of several companies the number (954) 671-6946 from the version of the company called Active Periodicals. Do not give them information at all, they will not only use it, but if they ask you to "confirm" some information and they already have your info CC# etc. they got it from another "company" operated by the same scam group. Do not confirm anything but tell them to delete your info (they wont but tell em to anyway) and also state that you will be pursuing the matter further through additional channels. they continually call me several time a day for over a month now ( I have bought nothing from them (or any magazine place) or given them any information. but after the 4th or 5th call i researched the heck out of it. I currently am pursuing a harassment claim against them (as did my neighbor who won). The first step is to file with the do not call registry https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx but it will take 30 days but do not worry they will still call you after that. they are stupid like that I also take pictures of all the missed/ignored calls from them with date and time. so far ( i have been on do not call list for a long time now) I have logged  312 calls from them in the space of 47 days. Ok thats funny they just called again as I write this. so make it 313 now. I am gonna get satisfaction on that as my neighbor did. I hope many of you that are in a similar situation do the same then maybe they will learn and stop screwing with honest folks. Also do a websearch on em and also check out rip off report DOT com for more of the crap these people pull if you are unfortunate enough to have fallen for them or one of their cohorts

I got 2 calls from them but didn't answer. I wonder if this has something to do with the $5 Popular Mechanics susbscription I ordered (the offer came to me in the email)

Got a call from this number today 12/08/09  did not answer, and the left no message.

I've gotten 3 calls from this number.  Didn't realize it was so major.  The people making these calls need to get a life.

They've been calling 2-4 times a day for the past week. I haven't answered yet, not a fan of unknown/out of state numbers! Not ONCE have they left a message. I just called the number back at this moment. A woman "Welcome to Active Periodicals, if you would like to be removed..." and then I hung up. I'm just going to block them, I'd suggest you all do the same!!

Receive a call from this number every single freaking day. I scream hello and no one answers.  Finally someone answered and when she sinced my attitude she hung up.  30 mins later the same call comes in and the lady says some weird number and said this was a telemarketing call and hung before I could say anthing.

They are selling magazine subscriptions, and if you call the number back it is answered by voicemail of course. On the voicemail, they say if you want your number removed from the call list leave a message.

This must mean that Cell Phone companies are selling our numbers too?

i have gotten 5 calls from this number. 4 in one day and 1 the next. they dnt leave a message but 2day i answered an this old lady said something and hung up. i have verizon if that helps.

I answered this number and it was some older woman asking if my parents were around, being in school I didn't know what to say. I told them my name and that they were asking for my parents who weren't there. I couldn't catch what she had said but it sounded like some telemarketer business or something. She asked if I were 18 and I said "not quite", and she told me "ok thats what I thought well bye." and I hung up the phone.
