When i returned the call less than a minute later, a recording came on stating that the number had been diconnected or was no longer in service.

I get constant calls from this number; the frequency is harrassment.  I believe the operator behind these calls is using a contest to scam people.

They just called from a disconnected number, left no message.

Got a call and sent it to voicemail... when I listened to the voicemail I just heard a bunch of people talking

i called this number and they say no calls come from this office, they wre pretty nice about it but they say its from a disgruntled former employee, they say they dont do business in new jersey, i dont know but it would be nice if they actually left a message,

I called this United Referral Service and asked for Jason Badura and was told that the number that called is not coming from there office, and that they don't do business in Jersey. I called the phone company and asked why this number keeps showing up and said it's a "trunk" line and it's used be telemarketers

if he continued the offensive behavior after you claimed to be 12, then I would have called the police IMMEDIATELY following the call, that way the phone company could possibly track the call. As long as they are the LAST call INCOMING, they can be tracked quickly (I was told this by ATT).

I haven't answered them yet, but I got calls from 2 of their numbers:
973-735-5438 and 973-735-0021.

I think I may try a new tactic next time they call... redirecting their call. :o)
I have the police department's dispatch number MEMORIZED, as well as the desk sergeant's too. I might just have to resquest they call me back in 5 minutes when I'm not totally busy, but on my "cell phone" and give them the police department's number (of course I'd call the sgt before they do to warn him about the call and WHY they are calling him). This way, the police can track them immediately from their own lines EQUIPPED for phone tracking.

Hey, I'm into DETAILS... OCD pays off sometimes, as I think of EVERYTHING possible in a situation.

unfortunately that doesn't work with all phone companies. ATT says they can't block long distance calls without blocking an entire area code.

I got a call from this number from someone who claimed I had a virus on my computer and wanted to go on-line with me.  Claimed to be from microsoft windows.

got a call just now from this number asking for someone of a different name. I said it wasn't me and he hung up.  Right after that i got a call from 201-200-9999 and it was the same guy saying he was from microsoft and that there were reports of malicious software on my computer and that i needed to log on and follow his directions for deleting files. i asked what kind of files and some of them were files for my firewall, anti-virus/ spyware programs.  I hung up.

I have received two of these calls on the last two days. I have not answered but did however try to call back it does go to a recording thats say the number has been disconnected! What a waste of my time. Glad I found this site!

i got a call from this number and when i called it back it said u have reach a number that has been descent

Got call saying they are tech departement wanted to tell us there is error on computer - wanted me to do to type in things on the computer.  Female with heavy accent - hard to understand - wouldn't give company - kept telling me its ok - relax...  NOT!

More than likely either one of 2 things...
  1. They will walk you through giving them remote access to your computer, or
   2. They will walk you through turning off your anti-virus/spyware/firewall and add download their own so they can get information from your computer.

I answered the call and the person calling informed me they were from Microsoft and they had detected a serious threat to my computer.  I kind of snickered and the man informed me it was not funny, that I was being hacked as we spoke and I should turn my computer on and take further directions.  I happened to be sitting at my already booted computer at the time, so pretended to wait for it to boot then asked for further directions.  He asked which version of windows, I told him 7, he said to hold down the window key and hit r.  I told him no f'n way.  He became really adamant that if I didn't I'd be buying a new computer within a few weeks.  I laughed and told him to get back to work, this was an unsuccessful sale.  I asked for a call-back number and he gave it to me 3 times, at my request, and couldn't even remember from one time to the next.  He said to just call the number (which number) and I would find out he wasn't a liar.  He had an Indian accent.

I've been getting calls from this # for about 2 weeks. Today is Saturday and they have been calling every half-hour since 8am. When I pick up the phone, it just disconnects. When I call it back, it says the # is no longer in service.
They have been calling both my cell phone and my home phone.
This should be illegal!!!!!
