    Just called that # back & the recording state is you want to be removed to leave your name, number & area code, & state that you want to be put on their DO Not Call list however, it could take up to 30 days to remove your number and you may continue to receive calls. WTF! It should be as simple as the click of a button.

    The call comes from a computer in the North Reading sales office, located on Concord St.  It only transfers you to a rep if you answer.  If you don't answer (let it go to VM), the computer slates your number to be called back, usually at a different time of day, and will continue to call you for several weeks.  Not answering the phone will NOT stop the computer from calling you.  If you answer the phone and talk to the rep, the phone calls are recorded in their entirety and if you request to have your number placed on their internal DNC list, the rep must do so or risk losing their job.  If you want the calls to stop, answer your phone. It is just that simple

    i was told by comcast its an automated computer call.....i have been placed on their {do not call list " for over 6 months with no success....
    i was told by April in the Hartford Area  Customer it does not pertain to them and they can call me...
    so i guess her solution to the problem is find another service to use so you are no longer a customer so you can then sue them for harassment.
    I finally called their corp office in pa  and was told by Derek the select numbers randomly to be placed on their call list for sale.
     He claims he put me on their do not call list but it will take at least 6 days...i was suppose to have been on this list months ago and was suppose to have been put on in the other day.
    Corporate office number if anyone else wants to complain is 215-665-1700 they are located in Philadelphia in case anyone wants to sue them for harassment.

    Called the number back to be removed as others have posted on this site. However, it was not an automated system, just a voicemail prompt.

    I waited, and got a message that the voicemail box was full, so there is now no way for me to tell them to [***] off and die.

    My cable bill increased by $6 this month for no other reason other than greed. My service has not improved, it only got more expensive.

    If comcast thinks I want to talk to their sales department they are sorely mistaken.

    SOLUTION !!!

    Go to COMCAST WEBSITE and  chat with  a representative.  tell them you do not want more calls from (978-848-5001)

    and the  "SALES" department wont  call you anymore. I just have to remove  my  Cell number and  she said I should not expect more calls from this number.

    and  that  all ,  problem solved !!

    Not a solution.

    Since telling the callers to stop doesn't work, I tried the chat method you suggested. Chat analyst couldn't help me because I don't have Comcast voice service. This matches previous experiences with Comcast chat, where the person at the other end appears to identify a few key words and tries to run with the scripted response.

    Unless I'm waiting for a response from Comcast, I don't bother answering calls from this number.

    I called the comcast "help" line to hook up my new cable box.  The prerecorded voice told me there was a problem in my area and they couldn't hook up my box until it was fixed.  They had my number--because I called them--and asked if they could call me back when the problem was fixed.  I said "yes." The next day I called the number again and got my box set up.  Now they keep calling me and hanging up.

    Comcast told me I could not have the cheaper bundle because I already have 2 Comcast services (Internet and TV) even though their website says Comcast customers can get this! Well you can't if you already have 2 services! Ok so why do they keep calling me then! I am not answering the damn phone! F them!
