Got a call from this number (979-446-0366) which happens to be Texas.
I'm in Ontario and they called my CELL phone at 8:55pm.
I am with Bell. Don't know anyone from Texas. Thanks forum! :)

Just missed a call from this number. Phone showed the number and Bryan, TX. I also live in the Toronto area.

I just got a call from 979-446-0366 to my cell phone. I didn't get to my phone in time to answer it so it just showed as a missed call. It's an Ottawa ON number, with service from Telus. My number is not visible on facebook to anyone but my friends and I don't give it out.

This is a computer operated sequential dialer, doesn't matter if you have your number posted everywhere or only one person has it. Telemarketers get your number because a system has finished calling 905-555-5555 and now they are calling 905-555-5556. I called and complained to Bell about the number and mentioned that many people on this forum were also Bell customers. There is apparently nothing Bell (or any other phone company) can do to stop the calls. They explained to me that the only way to stop the calls was to change my number. They also explained that Bell has a policy of not giving out lists of numbers.

I have also just received a phone call from this number. Is it something that I should worry about?

Just got a call from them... says from texas but it is an automated message i didnt answer the call but they did leave me a voicemail with their whole splurge about winning a trip to cancun...what BS!

I took a bath and after I was done, I grabbed my cellphone and there was that number that I didn't know. So I googled the number and found this site....OMG....glad I didn't answer it....How on earth did they get my cell number????

This is not very amusing. No more calls from this number please as I am not interested in any trips from 3rd party companies.

Same crap here.  Handy hint though, if you answer and it's an automated message, hit the # key about 10 times and hang up.  It "confuses" the computer that dials your number and immediately kicks you off of the call list.  They won't call you back again.

Just got a call from this number (979-446-0366) on my cell, just before noon.  Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number or even the area code.  No message left.  I'm in Kingston Ontario.

Got the free trip thing.... I am in Ottawa - What ever happened to our do not call registry... Call was made to my Cell Phone that I don't make public (emerg. only) I answered because I had family travelling in the US and over seas - damn marketers!!! My Cell # ??? How did they get it?.... is Rogers selling our #'s out to marketers?
