Got this call on my company phone number last friday, 4:54 pm. Didn't pick up.

I also got a call from this number....didn't bother answering.

Few hours earlier got a call from 4039671221...with the WestJet spiel...I didnt press anything and call was disconected.

Its interesting because I just flew down to Halifax on Westjet. I don't recall giving them my cell number but if I did its definitely odd timing.

Maybe they are phishing phone numbers from GTA airport?

I'm from |Toronto to, I just got a call from it @7:10, I answered and they got disconnected or hungup or something

Yup....I'm glad people googl'ed this number.  I thought it was my ex's new girl friend stalking me.
That would have been more fun.

Not just happening in the GTA ...im about 4 hrs east of Toronto and just got the same call.
I didnt answer. So what is the scam? Do they as for money?

I just got this call too. I actually did push 1...was curious to hear just how ridiculous this scam really was and how they thought they were going to convince me to hand over my credit card information. I supposedly "won" two all-inclusive trips for me and my family, one to cancun and the other to disney. I would have to slap down $500 before the end of the call to secure the special promotional rate. The only requirement would be to tour the properties while on my "trips" and consider purchasing into their vacation club. Whatever.

Just got this call on my Telus cell in Oshawa, ON. at 2:25pm EST.

Just got a call on my cell with Bell as well.  I missed the call.

979-446-0366 called my cell in eastern Ontario on 15 Oct 2010. I missed the call, but figured it was a crank or a prank, and didn't call back.

Got the call 10 mins ago Toronto cell number did not answer.

Got a call at 1:28 CST from this # to my blackberry. Missed the call and no message was left. Attempted to call it back, and was prompted with a recorded message stating "the number you have dialed is unallocated"

1400 hrs CST on personal blackberry. 204 area code

Come on people!! How do you think they got YOUR number. Some company is fishing for information and has randomly dialed you. It doesn't matter if you number is unlisted. For arguments sake lets assume your number is 818-867-5309................I just thought that up off the top of my head and if I'd like to dial it I can.......if that persons number is unlisted it doesn't matter......Some company is randomly dialing you, not much you can do......however..........

Is your phone # listed on Facebook? MySpace? Are your privacy setting set up so that only close friends have access to this information. Even so, are you chatting with a friend? Are THEIR privacy setting secure? You could inadvertently be sharing info with the world because your conversation isn't secure because your friends privacy settings are open.

I would guess that this is not a random call and everyone who is receiving this message from 1-979-446-0366 shares something in common and the company or individual who is calling us has gotten all our numbers from the same source.

Investigating the common thread would likely be easy for an investigator, but this will never happen. Someone would have to pay for it. As long as every politician continues to run on a platform of "Lower Taxes" essential services will continue to get worse and worse, let alone provide funds to start up new avenues for policing fraud on-line.

But this concept is foreign to all too many people! They can't even comprehend how their "unlisted number" was perhaps randomly dialed, let alone vote in a manner that will actually provide them benefits rather than worsen their lives.

Got a call from this number about 15 mins ago. 979 is a Texas area code.
