- Sick and tiredWow it's amazing that these people sound like a script from Tri fi and some other bogus groups. Any who do not sent these people a dime. If you are sending a money gram if you made payment arrangements and have this persons address and name from these people post the addy on here and call the attorney general office in your state. DON'T SEND THEM MONEY AT ALL!!Give them the information as well. Any legit collections company will give you the company name as well as thier legal buisness addy even if you are sending a money gram. This is so you have proof of payment, if you are sending this to John doe you have no records of payment. As well as please note that JOHN BANISTER is the name of the terminator kid. As well as other names that where given in here where people from movies.
These peoples information is not comming up only in complaint rooms.- Caller: unknown

- o. esparzai got a call from allied legal services and they just left a message for me.
"Shaun Jones, we need to speak with you because it's a family emergency." that was the extent of it.
This is illegal on so many levels. I should sue their butts!!- Caller: allied legal services
- DeeThese people are clearly scripted. I was first contacted a month ago, and told a complaint was filed against me for bank fraud. She said they were attempting to serve me at home, but never tried to confirm if the address was correct. I told her to forward the debt information to me in writing and I would respond in writing. She said I take it you are unwilling to resolve this matter, so we will serve you on your job and wished me good luck. Yesterday Carla Sanchez called my daughter and left a message on my work number. This time I or my attorney have 48 hours to contact 980-939-0921. She left a filing number and said there is a restraing order in the complaint. She frightened my daughter pretty good and upset me a little. Since when did reputable businesses start using cell phone numbers for business lines??? I contacted the sheriff's department to see if they were attempting to serve me and they are not. I have to go to the courthouse to see if any suits have been filed. Right now it seems like strong arm tactics to scare you into sending money by any means necessary. I will wait to see how this plays out but I definitely will not give in to their scare tactics, when they are asking for 5 times what I borrowed. Any suggestions on how to gang up on this agency, and legally whip their butts. I don't know but collectively we may be able to wage a major fight for the little people. I am in if anyone needs my assistance.

- Eric replies to PamI got a call from "Shawn Jones" today saying the same exact stuff, referencing a Household Bank credit card account I had charged off back in 2004 when I was laid off and lost my job. He pulled the same scheme, saying he was calling the client to see what amount they could settle, and I was actually going to settle it for 40% to not worry about it anymore, but when I started asking for straight answers as in which collection agency owns the debt he would not give me a straight answer. He also used the subpoena line with me, and basically he started saying that Mastercard owned the debt. He got very defensive when I started asking questions before paying and then he started raising his voice saying how it was apparent that I was uncooperative and did not want to settle the debt so he is going to proceed with the subpoena. I hung up. This seems in total violation of the Debt Collection practices act and I am super annoyed especially since it is out of the statute of limitations in California.

- FILE A COMPLAINTPlease contact the F.T.C. - Fair Trade Commission & report them. This is 100% against the law for them to say these things. It's harrasment and lies. I have no debts, no loans, no enemies. I was left the same message regarding a restraining order. I did not call them back after finding so many websites dedicated to expressing the anger about these jerks. They are scumballs, low-lifes preying on other people. If you do not take the couple of minutes to place a complaint against them, then these people will continue to harass others. The Federal Trade Commission is the nation's consumer protection agency. - Shakaria MaxeyI have been receiving call from this number about a payment that I owe, however, I am a bit skeptical about this company and sending them any money. They are asking have I received a subpoena at home, and they are also saying they are going to sue me and "see me in Court for the debt that is owed from a payday loan company online. The company name they give is correct, however, can I be sued over an unpaid payday loan?

- TravtekI got a similar call from a "Sarah Brown - Special Investigator" and she starts the call with "Hey Rogers...re: a complaint filed against you. Claim and affidavit # VK1752... a respondent in court action and I must appear. Contact 980-939-0922 and forward to my attorney...Order to show cause contains a restraining order and have 1-2 days to respond...Good Luck."
OK lets review. 1.) Nobody addresses me as Rogers unless I have a personal relationship with them or old Army Buddy.
2.) Who are you representing? (FCC Violation)
3.) Claim and affidavit? (Did I win something? Affidavit is a signed and sworn statement. Claim is what I have with insurance companies.)
4.) # VK1752 (Usually case numbers have a date included and this is definitely NOT Jan 7, 1952)
5.) Must appear in which court? (Must be summoned to court and/or served or Certified Mail with signature requirement, return receipt.)
6.) Restraining Order. (Really dude? Everyone who knows me LOVES me!) Where is the legal paperwork in writing?
7.) 1-2 days to respond (Well, which is it: 1 or 2 days?) Courts are specific in their deadlines otherwise a default is entered in the plaintiffs behalf from the case against you.
8.) Sarah Brown (Why not just choose Mary Smith as an alias since it would be SO much harder to trace you.
All in all it smells fishy like the movie "Boiler Room". I called only to see what the company name was and searched Google only to find this forum. I smiled with humor at the desperation the message left for me. What pissed me off is that it scared the be-Jesus out of my wife to the point of stomach illness. That's just wrong.
I work for a cable internet and phone provider. One of the other things you can do is report this harassing call to your local county or parrish PUC (Public Utilities Commission). They have the power to block all calls coming from the phone number within your county. That will definitely slow their roll.
Bottom line in my humble opinion, do not respond to these calls or their bogus scare tactics. I wish there was a way to discover the phone number ownership like the tools I have at work (for porting telephone numbers from one provider to another) but I'm not in NC. If anyone has the first 6 matching telephone number digits: 980-939-xxxx please tell us who your phone provider is since companies own a block of TNs in there market center.
And you can bet that the cell phone is conveniently forwarded to a 'land line' business phone. I'll give them that for creativity. I would not be surprised if the were not even in the State of NC but anywhere else in the US.
I say put up or shut up. Serve me like a legitimate law firm of go away please.- Caller: Allied Legal Services

- Big guyThis is an illegal collection agency using scare tactics to get you to call them about a bill. It may be a payday loan or Cash Call. They called me on my cell with a phishing # from Texas, then my work # with a California number. Believe me if you've committed fraud as they say, you're not getting a phone call. If you've committed fraud you're getting a visit from your local police dept. and district attorney

- SavingTheirMessage4CourtI too received a message identical to the one described above from "Kenneth Banks" (special investigator.....so "special") and saved it with a seperate recording device and uploaded it to my computer. I hope whomever he works for, DOES take me to court, because in his 50 second message, he managed to break 3 "Debt Collection" laws set by the Federal Trade Commission. Make sure you keep accurate records of ALL messages left by these companies CHOOSING to conduct business in a way deemed illegal by the FTC and please take the time to report each unlawful attempt by these debt collection companies to the FTC. Only then, will they change the way they "do business".

- Tired of ScammersI also received a call from these people saying there was a restraining order and they gave a case number and said I or my attorney needed to call within 48 hours. I called and they said HSBC was suing me for fraud for nonpayment of a debt. I made payment arrangements with them because I obviously didn't want to get sued for fraud. They asked for my bank account information, I told them I didn't have an account. They said I could pay by Moneygram. When I called back to get their information to send the moneygram they wanted me to send it to an individual in Ohio, a Nichole Anderson. They didn't even give me an address. I expressed concern at sending a Moneygram to a person and was told she was a court liason. After asking how I could be assured that my money was being applied to this debt she said they would email and mail me a receipt. Needless to say I looked them up and found all these other comments. I'm so glad I didn't send them any money! I haven't heard from them since, but if I do I will let them know that I will be reporting them to the FTC and my state's attorney general's office. Do not give them any money! The best part is, after looking into this further they are not even the company assigned to this debt! They are trying to collect on something they aren't even involved in. Don't give them any information or money!!
