99001

I also got the +99001 call this morning, when I pick up the phone, it said we are connecting you to the number, then nothing happen, the phone was cut off. Should be scam

+99001 called me.. It was............. I dont know. I ignored it. Ain't Nobody Got Time For Thst

Recieved an unknown number, followed by this number. I am using a smartphone, could it be possible that we hitted some sort of malware. From singapore too.

I received this call today and same a chinese lady asked if I know Mandarin.

I'm from Singapore & just got a missed call alert from +9901 @14:05 12Apr2013.

im a starhub subscriber, just received a call from this number.
affirmative the caller is from china, a lady with china accent spoke with me.
i asked her where she is calling from she said, singapore ang mo kio (in mandarin).
she said the purpose of the call is on travel n tourism and asked me do i travel often with my family, where is my ideal place to travel, knowing she is a scammer, i told her malaysia.
she then asked for my full name in english and mandarin. i said no and asked her what is the purpose of asking me all this questions. she said it's for her company to verify that this survey took place.
i said im not interested and she scolded me on the phone, saying, 没兴趣你问这么多做什么？你神经病！
i hung the phone on her.

who's selling our information to these scammers?
im most afraid for old people who would fall for their scams that's all.

i have received 3 calls from the number and did not answered them.

I always received a call from this num +99001. When I answered no one talked..

check with service provider, they can trace with IDA, isthier duty to check

I got a missed called from this number as well. And I'm using Singtel line. Can't Singtel do something about it? Or anything the law can do here??? Wonder what sort of scam are they planning on to anyone who pick up this number?

I too got a called from a lady yesterday. Liked you she said she doing survey but before she going any further, I told her I'm at work and I have not time to entertain any survey. Now that you mentioned that this happened almost to everyone I believed it could have been the loanshark activities in trying to get people to pen down all their information so they can randomly going after someone with the information they collected to do their dirty trick.

this number called me 4 times. so annoying. never pick up

I am also getting the call from this number as well as another number claimed to be from a travel agency.

The caller from +99001 call and ask me, "你好，你会讲华语吗？".
Without any doubt, I answer to her, "不会", then i hang-up... hope she won't blur for a few seconds for that.

it's sounds like a Chinese lady，just ask＂你会讲华语么？＂then hang up.

I am using Starhub. Got this +99001 call but didn't pick up. No point picking up anyway coz i won't understand ching chong language ;)

Any idea which country or the origin of this +99001?

Got calls from this number +99001 3 times on 20 July 2013 and 22 July 2013 respectively. After I picked up the phone, I heard some musics then an auto-generated voice (in Mandarin) stating "your call is connecting..." then the other side hung up within 15 seconds

Just got a call from +99001. There is music at the start of the call. I thought it was strange so I kept listening. Then a Chinese woman asked me if I could speak Mandarin (in Mandarin of course) - I just replied to her in English that I don't know what she's saying. She promptly hung up on me. Definitely a scam for the gullible.

Me too just received call from +99001.  A lady voice asking me whether I speak Mandarin and I told her this is Police Station and she hang up the call.
