rc'd call from man who sounded Indian, very heavy accent.  claimed a virus had infiltrated my computer. same virus also attacking microsoft as a result of whatever i downloaded.  I asked him to give me a phone number to call him back, he wouldn't. when i asked again, he said, he would not "fix my computer" and i will not be able to use it anymore because of the virus.

Caller ID 9999100102.  I answered.  A "normal" female voice on the other end said "hello"...and that was the last I heard.  I tried calling the numbe back and it had been disconnected.
No clue.  I figure if they really want me, they'll call back and I will let it go to voice mail.

I got this call w/in 30 minutes after my neighbor's email was hacked & when I opened her message I got an immediate message that a virus had been thwarted by ESET, quarantined & removed.  I erred by replying to my neighbor's message in order to warn her that she had malware and/or virus infection & I would need to block her email until fixed  They sound very urgent like they are reporting an accident likely to overcome the fact I have a “Do Not Call” number.  
.I did turn off my computer before they could finish which made them mad; but eventually had to pay Microsoft to remove it.  It took them quite a few hours to search my files for any other malicious malware that might be hidden from same attempt. Since caller first implied he was  connected to legit companies, I reported them to FTC & FCC & to MS Legal for claiming to first be a former MS Tech.; and then refusing to tell me the real name of his  Employer before while trying to extort money from me and for planting malicious software on my PC.

I did manage to convince the Phishing scammer to give me a call back number on pretense of documenting who was calling me before willing to proceed.  It comes from Hayward, CA. 510-962-4562 their are many other phishing calls from this site apparently.  Shame on Calif. Atty General for not acting.

I got a phone call twice. The first time a answerd with my blue tooth, i did not see the phone. There was 2  beeps and then nothing. The second time i looked at the phone  and did not answer.

A scam.  Hang up immediately.

I got the same call and I ran him in circles for over 45 minutes - I can't believe his persistence. I finally got bored and told him that my anti- virus was up to date and everything was fine. He claimed that it wasn't made for Win7 and wouldn't work on my computer. When I told him that I knew this was a scam, he hung up. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I figure he could have scammed at least three innocent people in the time I wasted. I hope this helps!

Received the same phone call. He said he was from Microsoft. The phone number was an unknown number on my caller ID. I told him I could not trust him. That got rid of him

These calls came in all day long, and I couldnt do anything about it until I got home to my computer to block the, I don't know if this will work, hang ups and just very annoying.  Thanks for all the comments as I don't want to be a victim and new at the computer.

just got a  call  from this  number, I  fell for it  up  until he mentioned a  software that cost money and I  got suspicious.  stupid low life scammer.

this morning that same guy called, the scam guy about the computer but like he called all early and again woke me up but like he was like "ma'am i'd like to talk to you about your gateway" and the second he heard it was me he hung up.

An Indian heavy accent guy called and said he was from Microsoft and my computer was sending out personal information and I had a virus.  He wanted me to go to my computer.  I said who is this and he repeated he was from Microsoft and I said I don't believe this.  I asked for his number and said  I'll call yoou back and he hung up on me.

Got a call from a man that sounded Indian at 7:09 on Tuesday, June 25.  Told me I had harmful spyware/virus and I needed to get on my computer and he would tell me what to do.  I immediately told him I didn't know him and hung up the phone.

I got a call from this no. It was a foreign man.  He said my computer was infected with a virus, and that he was with Microsoft.  What I really wonder is how he got my phone no. and he addressed me by my father's name, and my dad has been dead for 17yrs. Then he gave me 12 #,s mixed with letters to put into my computer. I did not do it but this seems really dangerous and very illegal. Please be very careful!!!!!!!!!!

Rec'd a call last night at 11PM, yes 11PM. My husband answered, we were asleep. Something to do with our computer being fixed. Really! Hung up. Area code is bay area in Hayward, CA

He claims his name was Peter Johnson, 800-903-1100 ext. 31625.  The caller ID was 510-962-4562 from Hayward, CA.  I told him I will call the authorities (which I did), and he got argumentative and attempted to interrogate me.  DO NOT TRUST THOSE CALLS.
