- No 1 Gems Ltd is a scamCon merchants, rogue traders... you name it.
No 1 Gems Ltd is a scam. Don't buy anything from them, not even a loaf of bread if they offer you one.
They will mislead you into buying something you believe is a valuable diamond which is so rare that it will only increase in value over the years so that you can sell it for much more and scream with joy, dance on your rooftop and then give yourself a pat on the back for making such a wise investment.
Sadly it's all a red flag and all the hallmarks of a scam are there: cold callers, first names only (you don't know the real identity of who's trying to trick you), too friendly, pretends not to care (but really he does, rings multiple times, even at evenings and weekends and for prolonged periods, bigs up the opportunity as too good to miss, high pressure (he needs to earn his commission-only pay you know).
This company also loves to dribble on about the Argyle Mine in Australia. Their facts are straight from Wikipedia (so chances are this is no gem expert but somebody who probably lost his previous job in an office or somewhere completely unrelated but now has to blag for a living) and they say it's closing later this decade. Rubbish- it's the mining technique which is changing at Argyle. Anyway, it's all part of the plan.
You have been warned. Nobody is jealous of your dreams to get rich quick. Sadly going about this way is not the way to do it.
No 1 Gems Ltd is a scam.
PS: they are advertising many positions for this salesperson role, one of which is for Greek speakers. Presumably it's to take advantage of the fact that there is currently an economic crisis in Greece so why not target a few broken-hearted Greeks and tell them that all is not doom and gloom: beat the financial crisis by making an investment! Lousy and further evidence of the directors' unscrupulous nature. I'm sure the countless Greek / Greek Cypriot citizens and Greek / Greek Cypriot students in the UK will be most interested to find out about this, as would Prince Philip- he's originally from Greece and born there, too. Let's try and flog a gem to him.

- No1Gems| 2 repliesLet me start but saying that No 1 Gems is NOT a scam and we are a fully registered company within the UK.
We do indeed sell rare coloured diamonds which if you bother to do any sort of research will know are only increasing in price due to there being only a finite amount left.
All our brokers give there full name as they have nothing to hide and are fully trained in the coloured diamond industry.
Yes it is true that the Argyle Mine is now having to change their mining method to an underground one, which in turn is causing them to make a loss, hence they want to sell, but it is also true they are closing in 2018 and the closure plan is clearly documented on our website.
Our offices are closed on a weekend so quite how you are receiving calls from us is a mystery.
Further more we are not currently advertising for Greek speaking brokers nor do we plan to.
So please in the future if you are going to try and tar our name do your research first.
Regards
Lee Miller

- Nice try replies to No1Gems| 1 reply'Let me start but saying that No 1 Gems is NOT a scam and we are a fully registered company within the UK.'
And? Does that make you sweet and innocent angels? I beg to differ. You may be a company etc, but the motive behind your existence is far more sinister- buy some gems from us, create the illusion that they will increase in value, and if they don't increase in value, then tough luck: it's an investment and nothing is guaranteed.
"We do indeed sell rare coloured diamonds which if you bother to do any sort of research will know are only increasing in price due to there being only a finite amount left."
Who is your supplier? De Beers? Can you shed details? No, thought not. What is your mark-up? You'd be very stupid to miss out on this opportunity when you could have all the diamonds for yourselves, and even more stupid if you're flogging them at daft prices and therefore making a loss to yourself. Diamonds are not finite and are not actually worth anything. Could you care to explain Nicky Oppenheimer's remark about diamonds being worthless 'except for the deep psychological need they fill'? It's all part of the boiler room scam tactics- high pressure, act now or you'll be disappointed. It is an established fact that should any moron who purchases a shiny lump of carbon known as a diamond try to sell their diamond on, they can never do so for more than what they purchased it for in the first place. This is why diamonds are forever- you're stuck with it.
"All our brokers give there full name as they have nothing to hide and are fully trained in the coloured diamond industry."
Firstly it's their not there (sorry, just had to make that petty swipe), secondly, I've called up as a prospective 'investor' and upon asking the name of who it was I was speaking with, I was simply given a forename only. So it's clear they have got something to hide: their tracks. 'Fully trained'? So you pick people up off the street and you train them on the ins and outs of the diamond industry? Have you lectured them on Cecil Rhodes, De Beers, the Rothschilds, the Oppenheimers, conflict diamonds and the 1920s slump following which De Beers engaged (no pun intended) a marketing company to sell to the lower classes the idea that a diamond is the only sign of true love and ultimately the birth of the diamond engagement ring? Please do not try and insult anyone's intelligence by claiming you commission-only serfs are experts. They reel off basic information from Wikipedia and Google and they have zero experience in anything closely related.
"Yes it is true that the Argyle Mine is now having to change their mining method to an underground one, which in turn is causing them to make a loss, hence they want to sell, but it is also true they are closing in 2018 and the closure plan is clearly documented on our website."
From the Argyle Mine's website: 'The ore body continues at depth, and for this reason an underground mine is being developed that will extend the life of the mine to at least 2018.' At least does not mean 'AT MOST'. Either clue yourself up on your own language, or stop telling porkies. A golden rule is never to believe simply what the salesman tells you. If No 1 Gems is the salesman, it's only in their interests to sell such false propaganda. It also harks back to the concept of this 'opportunity' being too good to miss so act now etc.
"Our offices are closed on a weekend so quite how you are receiving calls from us is a mystery."
Please do not flatter yourselves. I certainly never said I'd been called at the weekend- again, read properly. However, if you're going to be selective in your reading, why have you overlooked the other posts on here and online. They all have the same thing in common: they have been cold called and the 'broker' at the other end has made up some nonsense about how they had obtained their number. Now when someone cold calls you, i.e. calls you out of the blue, and is trying to flog you something with the usual silver-tongued tactics, naturally it's going to be suspicious. But obviously nobody's bothered about diamond investments and it's not something people do everyday so nobody is going to give No 1 Gems Ltd a call. So in turn No 1 Gems Ltd has to make the calls and lure people in.

I've done my research, thank you very much, and I suggest you grow some morals and try and find a more honest job. The same goes for the elves on the work floor, and of course the directors who are doing nothing but cashing in on a craze as some means of doing business. Are they fully-trained in diamonds? What experience do they have? Shame on you all. Oh, given that you're now trolling this website, it's clear you know you're in the wrong and have perhaps been on the look-out for any truthful information about you. Typical measure taken when a rogue entity like No 1 Diamonds knows that the public is onto them. - No 1 Gems Ltd coloured diamond scam. replies to Nice trySee also:

No 1 Gems - No 1 Gems Ltd Twitter Scam replies to No1GemsYou are very welcome, 'Lee Miller' of No 1 Gems Ltd Precious stones SCAM operating from Brighton and Hove, under the directorship of Messrs Adam Michael Simmons and Adam James Leach. I enjoy being realistic and helping the public avoid making a catastrophic error of judgement through not giving a single penny to it and thereby exposing this rogue entity for what it is or, as you may choose to dumb it down as being, 'feedback/comments'.
The fact that part of your job involves trolling websites like this one and spreading disinformation highlights the cowardly nature of No 1 Gems Ltd and the cowardice of its directors (assuming you are a real person and not a pseudo created by them). 'Head of Admin'. Wow, very swanky job there, Adam- are you in charge of a team or something? How many little elves do you have to look after? Just had a look at your Linkedin profile. Nice to see you are interested in new career opportunities. Is the tide turning and are you finally trying to find your way into a more honest job? It's not very hard, Lee. Try out a recruitment agency or the Job Centre website.
I would be curious if you could tell us about the 'many happy clients who do not agree with [me]'. Are you one of them? Probably not; I can safely assume you would not spend a penny on the faux-investment No 1 Gems Ltd peddles.
I cannot be bothered speaking to you directly. You have a lot to hide and it is in the public interest to expose it on here. One person has already spoken of £80,000 going down the drain, which says a lot.
No 1 Gems Ltd has 'scam' written all over it. It has filed no returns, was established less than a year ago and is off the FSA radar. The small print is saved until the end, on the back page of its nonsensical copy-paste propaganda brochure (nothing of use, just a load of drivel including how this and that diamond have been sold for X million- the truth is all diamonds are worthless but for the artificial value the likes of De Beers and corporations, which depend on African slavery, attribute to them in order to exist), right at the bottom in tiny writing. It effectively equates to 'this is not the type of scheme the FSA regulate [so we're taking advantage of that fact- if you fall for us and blow money on something worthless, then tough- the FSA won't care either], all investments are uncertain [we've bigged this up as being an amazing opportunity, but if you don't anything in return then tough luck again, your fault not ours] and we expect you to have done your own research [we bombard you with information to make it sound brilliant and amazing, as it's in our interests to do so in order to make money and carve out our sordid existences, but this is your last warning: what we say might not necessarily, i.e. is NOT, be true].
But none of the above stops the cold-calling and nuisance ringing-up of the clowns on the telephones at No 1 Gems Ltd.
