I have had 3 (illegal) unsolicited calls from "James" supposedly of Elite Gems of Mayfair.  In my opinion these calls are like the boiler room scams that sell worthless securities.I would recommend you steer clear of Elite Gems.

Got my call at 17.23 hrs, told him not to call again but he still called a second time. I then threatened to take action against him for which he then said he challenges me to do so, I then hung up. Hopefully that is the last I hear from him.

We are registered with the Telephone preference service, opting out of cold calls, but still receive calls from companies such as elite gems, Tel 02075176018.  These calls are a nuisance.

After reading all of the comments above and after having several pestering calls from this company, i have been doing some due diligence and digging on the company.

There registered address is 1 BERKELEY STREET, MAYFAIR, LONDON, W1J 8DJ which seems to be a virtual address offered by MWBEX - http://www.mwbex.com/virtual-services/virtual-office. My question is why would a reputable company operate using a virtual address?

Also as mentioned above the directors seem to have expertise in all different types of investments. The different companies are as follows - Elite Gems Ltd, Elite Gems (London) Ltd , Gemco (London) Ltd, Berchmere & Oak Fine Art Limited, Oswald Bradshaw Limited, Harman Royce Limited, Elite Uk Real Estate Ltd, As Global Consulting Limited, Charles Stratton Limited and lastly Carbon Int Limited.

My next question is how can they be experts in Carbon Credits, Land, Diamonds, Art and Real Estate? All of this experience and the director is 25?

I asked the broker and he couldn't answer my questions? I wonder why?

    Regards,

ELITE GEMS IS A SCAM replies to alex
I love how the trolling commences once the scam artists know that the public are onto them.

'Stop slandering Elite Gems'? Elite Gems is a SCAM!

Just like No 1 Gems Ltd - SCAM!

Just like Nemesis Commodities Ltd - SCAM!

Just like Genesis Rare Diamonds Ltd - SCAM!

These diamond investment scams are the latest product in boiler room scams- carbon credits, land, insurance, time shares...now apparent 'rare fancy coloured diamonds'.

Funny how they all seem to be talking about the same mine in Australia and using schoolboy facts from Wikipedia to show how knowledgeable they are.

If this is such a trade where you claim to be experts, why, for example, have No 1 Gems Ltd, operating in the same manner and capacity as these other rogue traders, posted countless job offers online, for brokers? Shouldn't knowledge and experience be essential? The job description states you need to be 'money hungry'. In other words, you have to be obnoxious and unscrupulous, and if you don't seal any deals then you don't get paid.

Get this- we're hearing a lot of doom and gloom about Greece and Greeks, but all is not lost! No 1 Gems Ltd want Greek speakers to act as brokers! "Hello random stranger I'm cold calling in Greece. I know life is tough, but maybe you can beat the tough economic climate and get a head start! Simply give your bank details to a complete stranger working for a company you've never heard of and you might be able to get a nice return!"

Recieved numerous calls from Elite Gems stating that I spoke to one of their colleagues last year and this was a follow up call........I've never spoken to them before in my life but getting them off the phone is a task....They ask you to look at their governing bodies via a website and them rabble on about the values of certain diamonds. This has scam written all over it...Steer Clear

Report all such companies to the Insolvency Service so that they can decide whether it is in the public interest for them to be wound up.

    SCAM BUSTER - SCAM WARNING!!!!

I agree with all of the above. There is another company that you guys are missing Jubilee Diamonds Ltd -  www.jubileediamonds.co.uk. They have an advert on a recruitment website company claiming they pay 25% commission to there tele-sales agents with a £1,000 basic.

Which must mean that Jubilee Diamonds have a HUGE mark up on their coloured diamonds (clearly way over 40% if we take into account office space in Canary Wharf which can't be cheap).

They never SCAMMED/TRICKED me but they are defiantly another one of these spineless company's - Don't touch they with a bargepole. When Elite Gems called me their advisor said "Jubilee Diamonds has plagiarised their whole brochure". I can confirm it looks very similar to Elites.

Also Jubilee claim to have 10 years of experience but companies house shows they have only been trading since 05/09/2011 - not even been trading for a year NOR any accounts been filed

Details of the scam company are below:

    Jubilee Diamonds Ltd.
    37th Floor,
    One Canada Square
    London

Furthermore, One Canada Square and Canary Wharf are big red flags when it comes to scam companies like Elite Gems, Nemesis Commodities, No 1 Gems, Jubilee Diamonds...

The address is nothing more than a fancy maildrop to give the illusion to unsuspecting people that there are yuppies and swish suit-wearing business people with briefcases working there and strolling around a huge financial hub. It's so laughable- nothing but propaganda and clichés. Even No 1 Gems Ltd, on their tacky website, has a video featuring One Canada Square at the beginning, in the dark...all very money-making, exciting, business-ey...

JUBILEE DIAMONDS LTD IS A SCAM
ELITE GEMS LTD IS A SCAM
NEMESIS COMMODITIES LTD* IS A SCAM
NO 1 GEMS LTD IS A SCAM

    * Regarding the name 'Nemesis Commodities', it's quite funny how they've selected a word like 'nemesis' (i.e. your worst enemy, in simple terms). Presumably they, too, are aware of the fact that that diamonds are worthless and only given value because of the stinking legacy of Cecil Rhodes and De Beers and their blood diamonds, manufactured scarcity, rarity of diamonds being a complete lie.

QUOTE: "Diamonds are intrinsically worthless except for the deep psychological need they fill."

No1 Gems, I am not involved in the issues above, but I am interested in the outcome, as I suspect are many of the viewers of this site.

The first question has to be, do,  your staff, or have they ever made outgoing, unsolicited calls to potential customers? It would APPEAR from the information on this site not only that you do, but that this can be repeatedly proven.

That being the case, why would a so called "Reputable" company want, or even need, to do so? Surely word of mouth, in this business, is more important?

Our staff do make outgoing calls but only to people who have shown an interest in investing in coloured diamonds.

Word of mouth has got us a substantial amount of business but sometimes we need to outbound to potential clients, who have shown an interest as stated above.

You know are talking a complete load of codswallop. All your calls, including the one you made to me, are unsolicited. No moron is stupid enough to even come across your tacky website and fill in the form. Please do not patronise anyone on here with your lies and disinformation. You called me out of the blue and had the audacity to say I had entered my details onto the website WHEN I HAD NEVER EVEN HEARD OF YOU until your telephone call.

Scam scam scam. Get yourself a proper job.

You are very welcome, 'Lee Miller' of No 1 Gems Ltd Precious stones SCAM operating from Brighton and Hove, under the directorship of Messrs Adam Michael Simmons and Adam James Leach. I enjoy being realistic and helping the public avoid making a catastrophic error of judgement through not giving a single penny to it and thereby exposing this rogue entity for what it is or, as you may choose to dumb it down as being, 'feedback/comments'.

The fact that part of your job involves trolling websites like this one and spreading disinformation highlights the cowardly nature of No 1 Gems Ltd and the cowardice of its directors (assuming you are a real person and not a pseudo created by them). 'Head of Admin'. Wow, very swanky job there, Adam- are you in charge of a team or something? How many little elves do you have to look after? Just had a look at your Linkedin profile. Nice to see you are interested in new career opportunities. Is the tide turning and are you finally trying to find your way into a more honest job? It's not very hard, Lee. Try out a recruitment agency or the Job Centre website.

I would be curious if you could tell us about the 'many happy clients who do not agree with [me]'. Are you one of them? Probably not; I can safely assume you would not spend a penny on the faux-investment No 1 Gems Ltd peddles.

I cannot be bothered speaking to you directly. You have a lot to hide and it is in the public interest to expose it on here. One person has already spoken of £80,000 going down the drain, which says a lot.

No 1 Gems Ltd has 'scam' written all over it. It has filed no returns, was established less than a year ago and is off the FSA radar. The small print is saved until the end, on the back page of its nonsensical copy-paste propaganda brochure (nothing of use, just a load of drivel including how this and that diamond have been sold for X million- the truth is all diamonds are worthless but for the artificial value the likes of De Beers and corporations, which depend on African slavery, attribute to them in order to exist), right at the bottom in tiny writing. It effectively equates to 'this is not the type of scheme the FSA regulate [so we're taking advantage of that fact- if you fall for us and blow money on something worthless, then tough- the FSA won't care either], all investments are uncertain [we've bigged this up as being an amazing opportunity, but if you don't anything in return then tough luck again, your fault not ours] and we expect you to have done your own research [we bombard you with information to make it sound brilliant and amazing, as it's in our interests to do so in order to make money and carve out our sordid existences, but this is your last warning: what we say might not necessarily, i.e. is NOT, be true].

But none of the above stops the cold-calling and nuisance ringing-up of the clowns on the telephones at No 1 Gems Ltd.

No 1 Gems Ltd is a scam.

I would be interested in investing in coloured diamonds and have been contacted by each of the aforementioned companies. Some of these companies claim to have a global presence across the globe, and will be able to trade me out of position with the increasing demand in Asian Market. Please could anyone advise if their are any reputable companies out there? Who I should go with?
