I too brought the paint pads and as I am in sales myself, I listened very carefully to the script and at no time was told that I would have to pay a year's membership to Poundsaver, in fact, I was told that Pitch T.V. would send me money off vouchers free of charge which were mine to keep, even if I didn't want to become a member.  So how can they take your money wihtout your permission and 3 months down the line at that?

Another scam by yet another unscrupulous company, probably not even based here.

They have taken £59.95 off me. Read the covering letter that comes with the discount vouchers very crefully. It says:   "Do nothing, and in 30 days your annual membership fee of £59.95 will be charged to your credit card". This is mis-selling by Ideal World, as they make a big thing about sending you discount vouchers for £1.60, but don't tell you about a further 'membership fee'. Total rip off, and I'll never buy anything off a television shopping channel again.

I ordered from Pitch TV - also do not remember being asked if I wanted to join a club. Got the letter from Poundsaver this morning, saying I had applied successfully (!), enclosing a membership card and that if I did nothing in 30 days then they would deduct £99.99 and charges from my credit card to make me a full member. I rang their helpdesk and immediately cancelled my 'membership'. I intend to pass all this on to Watchdog and get them to read all the complaints on this website. Everybody should tell Watchdog

Just noticed a £99.99 transaction on my credit card with POUND SAVER, I did not sign up to this nor would I ever, I bought a steamer from PITCH WORLD and they passed my details including my credit card number to this company without my permission.  I remember receiving a phone call after ordering the steamer saying that due to my purchase I was entitled to a book of saving vouchers and they would send them to me.  I at no time gave my credit card details or permission to take money from my credit card.  I put the vouchers in the bin as they were rubbish and gave no more thought to it. I phoned PITCH WORLD to complain and they checked my account and denied passing my details on and just told me to phone POUND SAVER which is closed till tomorrow.  On the advice of my credit card company I am phoning the fraud department on Monday.  Fingers crossed I get my money back from the thieving b**$)_^%s.  I will never purchase anything from this company again.  Surely there must be a law about passing your details without consent?

I also have my bank account debited by this so called company. The same amount as so many people on here, first transaction was £1.60 then a second of £99.95. I have no idea when and how this scam has got my card details. These people should be charged and jailed for theft and fraud.

i'll second that, its Pitch World that passed my details on without my consent, i specifcally told them i was not interested in the vouchers (as you have to pay for them so whats the point anyway??) but loan behold my account is debited £1.60 then £99.99 a month later.  What else strikes me is that they are not direct debit payment they are debit card payments !!
    Cancel your debit card folks!

I've also realised that money has been taken out of my account due to this company without my permission. I have tried to get a contact number for them but other than the number given here i cannot find one. Is this the number that everyone here rang?

Hi I called 08001077333 which is for pound saver, they were very understanding and helpful, they apologised but explained my details had been passed by Pitchworld to them and as far as they were concerned it was done lawfully but if I disputed that they would return the money to my account within 5 days, this they did, no hassle, no fuss.  Phoned Pitchworld to complain about my details being passed without my permission, customer services listened to a recording of the phone call and agreed that the script had not been followed and I had not been informed of the payments being deducted, they apologised.  I am looking into the data protection act to see if any laws have been broken by Pitchworld.

Furious that I have been subject to this
When I checked my bank I noticed 89.95 taken from my account by poundsaver. I immediately started to think where this transaction would have been made, no conclusion. I rang the bank who gave me direct tel no matching the ref codes to google this morning and find it's a scam! I'm on way to bank now to get it sorted along with the 1.60 they took last month! Not happy at all!

3.11.2010 ; I too have had to contact my bank for details regarding a 99.99 payment to pound saver, I absolutely declined the offer of this scheme when I was called after buying paint pads from pitch tv or pitchwell ,  back in September, I am furious that a third party can take this amount of money without permission and... no paperwork, no email to state the details, I did not want this offer so stopped the sales conversation as soon as it had begun, it is obvious that this company have the means to withdraw your money therefore take no notice of a refusal, how many people may not have noticed an amount taken...., I am supposed to be getting a refund within 7 days

I found two amounts on my credit card statement this morning for £99.95 and £1.60   After a lot of hassle I phoned 0800 1077333.   they told me I ordered on line from Pitchworld.    I ordered a steam cleaner a few months ago from them but never gave permission for any other money to be taken.  I am supposed to be getting a refund within 10 days but it has put me off ordering anything on line again.

I bought a paint pad directly from the pitch tv website a few months ago and out of the blue today I have checked my bank to find that £99.99 is to be taken by POUNDSAVER I have not seen or been made aware of any membership that they have signed me up for..this has taken me over my overdraft and unable to be able to pay my bills that are going out next week..my bank said they cannot do anything until i have spoken to the company and they are closed until monday..this is a decieving and nasty scam and I warn all people to be extra dubious when they buy anything from these tv retailers I will be making sure this goes to watchdog and any other company.
    this is a disgrace

I have just spoken to a lovely lady at member ship services who has explained that Pitch TV have set this up without our knowledge
she has taken my details cancelled the membership and has said they will refund the payment within 5 to 7 working days (fingers crossed)
    I called them on 08701602513

Pitch TV are the ones to blame and should be stopped from doing this. Membership sevices only do what they are told to do by the other company passing on the details

please be aware when u are buying anything from them!!!

    Hi Chrissie

Same thing has happend to me, amounts varying from £49.95 plus another amount of £1.60 in October and again in November £99.95 and again £1.60.  I called HSBC and they have told me that they will refund my money and this has been reported to the fraud people within HSBC.  On my bank statement it read POUND SAVER with a number underneath of 0800-107-7333.  Another company name appeared as CLASSIC LIVING?  It seems they have been given our details by one of the Bid Up TV channels which used years ago.  The Bank is issuing me with a new card and has disabled the old one.  I do hope you get a good result too.  I have also reported this to Watchdog on:-  www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory you might want to do the same as the more people expose this the better.

    Regards
    Mary

I have been a recent victim of this scam by Pitch World. Hopefully I will get a refund from Pound Saver. Meantime the real culprit is Pitch World. Can anyone enlighten me on which authorities they have complained to and has there been any official investigation
