This number has been calling me for weeks and as I spend a lot of time abroad it costs money. I have rung it back but it is blank

As terry said, from the 20th june this year, I've had the same sort of experience. This company keep ringing my boyfriends mobile asking for me! I don't know who they are or what they want but the constantly keep phoning him even though he's told them I'm not on his mobile number and how they've got his number is beyond me cos I use my own mobile for everything!. I am in debt but I have my debts sorted with my creditors and with the citizens advice bureau. So ignore the calls, don't listen when they say you owe money and if you happen to answer them, tell them you will report them to ofcom!

they kept ringing me about lowering monthly payments, so debt consolidation, i just told them once i was through that i only had one monthly outgoing so nothing they could do would help, they hung up and i havent heard from them since

Just had a call from this number but couldn't answer it as I'm in work. I Googled the number and found this site. I'll know now not to bother answering when they call back!

This number keeps calling me and i have no idea who they are, they call at all different times, morning, noon and night! How do i stop them from calling me?! :-(

I just a call from 0754240137 the woman said she was calling from the B&E Group of Companies - I;ve also had calls from the 08700845794 no.  I've told them on every occasion that I'm not interested and asked that they remove my details from their dB and stop pestering me.  The caller (both male and female) get quite aggressive and almost try to shout me down - I tell them I'm ending the call and hang up on them.

just had a phone callf rom this company asking if im paying too much for housing costs- told them to mind their own bloddy business and hung up.

this lot have been ringing me maybe 10-1 times a day for 2 weeks!! leavin voicemail messages on my mobile but it cuts out!! i dont know what they want but they are really annoying me now!

wife answered this call. they asked for me, she asked who calling. BE Group she was told.

I keep getting calls from this number, I answer and no-one says anything, then they hang up!  Try calling it back and I get a recorded message saying "your call is important to us, please hold" and then it hangs up.  ANNOYING!!! Who ARE these people?!

Hey guys, been recieving calls from this number for ages. Searched on google and have seen your blog. I have just been onto the Bainst & Ernst website (http://www.bainesandernst.co.uk/contact-us) and filled in the form, explaining that i have a business preference number and that i am seeking legal advice, 5 minutes later i had a phone call from a different number (08456345805), which i answered, then got redirected to an advisor, who asked me if i had applyed for debt advice online, i simply told her that i was complaing and that i have a business preference number, and she apologised and said she would remove my number. Try it guys, hopefully i wont be getting anymore calls.

I like the idea about telling them it is a business preference number... also, I gave them loads of swearing and verbal abuse which really upset them..... and they took offence to it. i told them if they were insulted, i was happy.. which they took further insult to, but advised them to contact the agent who referred my name.. and take it with them... and that if they caled me again, they would get a huge run around.

I had this with a mobile phone company once.. who pestered.. so i initially agreed, then lead them on a wild goose chase for about 40 minutes before telling them to ^%$£ off and that i was not interested.. again they were far from happy.... but never heard from them again

the answer thereforew.. insult and upset them..............

Do what I do....

1. 1st call answer "hello xxx local police station can I help you", this usually works and the calls stop.
2. Answer the line as a business, "J & J solicitors, specialists in Criminal Fraud can we help"
3. If that fails, keep a Gas Air Horn Canister near the phone, and when they call give em a blast. Works a treat, great for obscene nuisance callers too. We used to use it in the days when there was no callerid.
4. Ring them back ex directory using 141 and tell them they called you. Give them the number of someone else who rang and annoyed you. Then let them fight it out. LOL.
5. Record a fax tone or computer modem tone and play it back to them. They will stop calling, not point in calling a fax now is there.

i just had a call there was no one on the other line so i called back from my work number automated system saying to hold as the call was very important to them then it hung up. no idea what it is or how on earth they got my number

Would appear I am getting the same calls as you are all experiencing, very distressing as nursing sick father in hospital at the moment so have to keep mobile on, just reject call am registered with TPS but makes not difference....

Had a missed call from this number yesterday around lunch time. They phoned back last night at 7pm - the lady said she was phoning from BE group with reference to a letter they had sent me about debt consolidation - i told them i had never received a letter and that i was already getting help! i get these calls all the time and when i do actually answer i just say im getting help and they apologise and hang up!
