This is a scam! Do not answer or return the calls. If you have applied for loans online this is how they get your info. They're not legit and the FTC can't catch them bc they change their numbers. Don't sweat it. Just tell them you know they are a fraud and to bring it on. Cops won't show up to arrest or serve you like they claim. Oh, the stories they tell. Just laugh at them...and say there is no way some barely English speaking man has a name like Joe Brown.

I have had several calls to my landline from 0000.  I know this to be a skype number as it's used when relatives phone using their skype phone.  I would, if possible, like to trace the person who is calling me and then hangs up imediately I answer.

I received a phone call yesterday from 0000, the person left a voicemail...when I started listening to it, I deleted it.  Came into work today and there was a message on my voicemail at work.  I deleted it.  This has been going on for quite some time now.  They will call and then I won't hear from them for a couple of months.  I never speak to anyone, I just ignore the calls and let them leave a message.  Rest assured if they do call me back I will tell them to leave me alone.  I don't know what they want from me, but threatening me isn't going to get me to listen to them. I am in the process of filing for bankruptcy...maybe if I tell them that they will leave me alone.

Late with a couple payments to a payroll loan place in Alberta called Cash Money. They call to confirm you will be in as agreed to make tour payment and to set up a new one. 0000 shows on call display when they call. I'm sure it would be the same if you defaulted on one of their loans.

Same thing, calls from 0000 saying a never paid back a payday loan and I have until the end of the day to pay it or I will be arrested.  I happen to have a lawyer on retainer right now so I called her and she said it was definatly a scam.  When they called back I told them my legal representation had told me not to pay and he got really rude and insulting so I said have a nice day and hung up.  Clowns!!

Received a call from 0000 saying this is officer scott hamilton from the Federal Bureau and you need to call ASAP or we will have someone come to your job, your home and contact you and your contacts.  You must call us immediately.
Officer Scott, calls back 4 times over 5 days from 0000 and says he is from the bureau of taxation and finance; you must call this number immediately or we will......  over and over and over. you must call a 954 exchange.
I spoke to several people in law enforcement.  They all agree this call is from a scammer/scammers!

I just got 2 calls, from this guy who said he was calling from Credit Bureau of Investigations.  A couple of months ago, my lawyer called him directly and told him that the company he was calling from was bogus.  Now, months later, he calls again.....this time laughing, calling me obscenities and my lawyer informed me to call the police.  BEWARE....

    Caught em toungetied
This number called me and had me worried for a second until I found out other people were going through the same garbage.  Stupid me almost fell for it.  Someone name "Ray Hamilton" called me with a brutal american accent (obviously not being from the US) saying I had an outstanding debt.  I went through the run-around with them for a while till the point where I was supposed to call back when I was going to fax over my sensitive information.  So I called back and the number rang and apparently the "Officer" I was supposed to be talking to was someone else also with the name "Ray Hamilton".  The thing was good ol' Ray didnt recognize me or anything we had spoken about from before.  The next deal was I was transfered to a "supervisor".  This is when it got interesting.  Thanks to the information others have left I asked for a formal document or VERIFICATION OF DEBT.  He gave me some garbage about how it was based on a paperless online loan.  Even if this were true there would have to be a document somewhere, somewhere where he clearly doesnt have it!  So he told me the cops will be showing up on monday morning to my house.  Hilarious being I had already called local law enforcement and gave them all the numbers that I was given to contact them (mainlines and faxes).  When I informed Mr. Supervisor about this matter he was toungetied and promised me that he would make sure I lose me job....Well I already told my boss of this matter so thats not going to happen.  Please people read what others have said and dont fall for this scam!
