The guy called me with the same exact message, except this time changed his name to "Justin Brown" .... what a bunch of losers, called me 3 times in a row... They want to threaten me, I threatened the b*stard right back

rcvd a call today saying i was being sued. officer michael jones refused to tell me anything. i filed a report with our sheriff department. they verified it is a scam

getting thretning calls from this number amd 410 205 9153 stating that his name is jason bell and that he is a law inforcement agent wants me to send him money he has a foreign accent

I got a call from 0000 and I will not answer it so I can't say who the caller company is.

This number called me this afternoon.  I answered it knowing that it was some scam artist.  Some guy with a thick indian accent said that I have a lawsuit in my name.  When I asked what it was for he said that it was for a payday loan that I never paid back.  I have never taken out a payday loan!  Told him to stop calling me and I hung up.  He then preceeded to call back 30 more times in a 10 minute period swearing at me.  Actually got in my car to take my phone to the police department but he never called back.  I guess calling for a 31st time would have been too much!  I called AT&T and had my phone number changed.  He won't be calling me again!

(he then tells me the last 4 digits of my SS #) Do not disregard this message. Return the call. If you don't return the call and if I don't hear from your Attorney things will get worse for you which you would regret for. but for the time the situation is out of your hands. To avoid Major incident and you don't want a black spot on your credit report contact us on 818-538-9561. repeats number. This is officer Kevin Miller handling your case from the legal department for the federal case you must return the call today. Good luck and Good Bye."

He has a very thick Indian accent...American Name "Keven Miller" REALLY!! LOL
The number shows up on  my caller ID as 0000- but they always leave a diff # to call.

The same exact thing happened to me.  He said his name was John Morrison, but he sounded like he was from India and he didn't want to tell who he worked for and what the lawsuit was regarding.  I'm changing my number.

They told me the same thing. I never got money from them. He knew all my info. And said I owed $7,000. I was going to jail all kinda crazy stuff. Then he kept asking if someone got money in my name would I press charges duh!  He wanted me to FAX a paper since I could not he hung up on me I think I been scammed

That's the way how this F.....G indian guys get yourS information.

THIS IS A SCAM AT 100%.

Please note:

1) They have only the last four digit of yours SSN#....and as you should know...the last for digit are public when you apply for something on-line or financial company shares your informations ( if you not check the box to not authorize them, they will do)
2) They have your Name and Adress and work phone number if you got one in some of your applications on-line

Those are Indian guys that call almost from abroad trying to get money from you.

In addition even if I am not native american and I moved in US few years ago I know:

If you have a payday loan, an Unpaid CC or staff like as that....the POLICE CANNOT DO ANYTHING!!!!!So what they are saying is fake....fake...fake...
At least what they can do...if you are really not paying something (but they don't because I repeat they are Scammer Artist ( but I am a better player)) is to send the information at credits agency!!!

If you will not pay Loans,CC, etc...police cannot arrest you!!!!!!NEVER!!!!!

Well what I did the first two -three times that they called me I had a lot of fun with a couple of Indians (mans and womens). I joke a lot and after I allowed them to talk showing me scared ( so they think that they can got money from me) I got them the number of Department of General Attorney...saying that It was my lawyer number and they can call anytime. Then the next day the called me saying that I am a [***] because I got them I wrong number. So I APOLOGIZE with them and I have provided them the number of my Local Police Station..hihihihihih....Finally another person called me insulting me and saying good luck in the court and in prison (ahahha...if you are not paying something it is not fraud.....fraud is FAKE CHECKS....FRAUD INFORMATIONS ETC...).

Then they stopped for a couple of weeks and started again with a different number....same people...same story....the first time I listened and Played....next time....I got bored...and YES...even if is UNFAIR....I started to insult the Mom...Sister....Dougther...etc...well the guy said...TY my name....f..k you and your Mom....hihiihihihi.....

GUYS PLEASE BE CAREFUL....DON'T GET THEM YOUR FULL SSN# and Bank Information!!!!

If you do they will get money from your back account and you will never get back!!!!

If you are really in trouble....don't worry you will receive something in your mail...a certified mail....with the infos of the claim, the date to show up at court and a number to call (official US court department) to have more informations before to show up.

Obviously I am an European Lawyer that is working in US....

Just don't answer, hell them or at least play with them...

Do not change your phone number...after a little they will not call you!! and if start again to the same and they will stop it.

Finally if you have few free time in your life to loose with this matter...do the best that you can do...
Stop at your local police station or Sheriff office....explain all and use the word "Phone Extorsion" the will start with an Investigation (if you say the word EXTORSION" they have too). Then call your phone provider and block the number(s). If you go to the police...say that they are calling you at work too...trying to talk with your supervisor and you are risking to loose your job for that....POLICE or Sheriff will take action right away.

I LOVE SO STUPID INDIANS GUYS THAT THINK THAT THEY ARE GREAT SCAMMERS...AHAHHAHAHA....BUT UNFORTUNATELY I GUESS THAT TO CONTINUE TO DO IT SOME PEOPLE REALLY GET THEM THE PERSONAL INFOS!!!

I have had this guy with a thick Indian accent harrassing me for nearly two months now.

He initially called stating he was from the Department of Crime Prevention and left a message saying I should call him back and he "wished me luck" if i chose to ignore his call.

He kept calling, which I ignored and finally I answered one day and cursed him out after having done research. This was maybe 2 weeks after my initial call.

He then called yesterday maybe a month after his initial call. I stated I knew he trying to solicit money from me and that he could go f*** himself. He stated that "for once in his life he would like to f*** me". He then continues to call back to back to back for the next 2 hours. When I finally picked up and let off on him again...he said he was going to "f***me in my a**".

This is insane. These companies much have fished my information when I applied for a payday advance that I decided that I didnt even need and never completed the paperwork for.

Disgusting.

i too got the same kind of messages, this man with a very thick indian accent threatning me with legal action and my ss# will be "frozen"  and i will be going to jail if i do not return his call.  he claims to be with the united states crime department.  i did not return or answer any calls, this man is an idiot!  if he was really legit he would at least be able to speak so that you can understand him!  i have had payday loans in the past and also just got a car loan, so any of these could be sources where he got my phone #. i don't ever answer a call from a number i don't know.   its good to know this is not just happening to me, but there should be something we can do to stop the harrassment!

Same experience today with "Edward Jones" in an extremely thick accent, etc.  But what really pissed me off was that the calls started at 6:35 am PDT.  Hopefully I'll get an intelligible vmail so that I can report the number to the FTC and my State Attorney General for for consumer harrassment, fraud, etc.

I suggest anyone getting these calls try to extract as much information as possible and report to your local consumer protection agency.
