I got two calls from +0000 tonight. I did not answer the caller because I found it very suspicious. There's no voice message. What could it be?

its a payday loan scam calling from overseas they just called me five mins ago from a 0000 # thick indian accent . its a scam go to www.IC3.gov to turn them in

A foreign lady calling saying she is investigating me and has all my information.  How do they get this? They call from different numbers and they all do not speak English very well at all.   Find these scammers and send them back to where they come from

Here's what i wrote to our telephone company in regards to this: This is in response to the Call investigation form i put in a few minutes ago via my Stepfather's username. Received a scam call around 8:00 pm tonight asking about an issue with one of our computers. Currently they are asking about event viewer and applications to see if something is wrong. They had a heavy accent, the number shown on the phone (we're orcon genius customers) was 0000; i was unable to understand the guy so i handed him over to mom. Mom's currently trying to look in event viewer to check what's what they need. I'm thinking they're some sort of scammer, and frankly it's a bit worrying.  It's 8:10 PM now, the caller seems to have kids in the background. They're not very clear on what's going on, or how to "fix" whatever is in the error logs. We are copying the phone number and they say they are from another company - Microsoft supposedly. The information listed they gave us was Janet Lewis 09 989 0738 (649 889 0738) Microsoft Partners of Windows Tech Support.

Let's just say my mom wasn't letting the guy OR the lady get anywhere.

These people called me before about 2 years ago. The only difference based on what you wrote down is a change in the name of the business they claim to represent. This is a group of scam artist who hacked into a bank system and stole some identifying information. They dont have your full social security number. They only have the last 4 of it. They only have a partial mailing address for you and other public records information. Just ignore them and they will stop calling in a few weeks. The last time I checked one of their phone numbers it was not from the US. So dont call them back. Dont worry when this scam stops working for them they will change company names and start all over again.

Keeps calling and harrassing me saying I need to call or my attorney needs to call and wishes me luck. Calls my cell number and my work number. How do you get these people to stop harrassing?

Sadly you can;t do anything as this scum are overseas, If you recognise the number just don't answer and tell your works about this scam, which has been going on for about three years, and ask them not to put the call through.

I got a message from 0000 today. It was a foreign guy, sounds like (Indian accent or something) stating this matter was very important and for me or my attorney to call him back on his personal number at 877-848-4135. Um no. Not only do I not appreciate being harrassed, I don't like being told, if I don't call him back, he would wish me good luck in the matter. Right. I'm gonna report this to the FTC also. I had a call like this months back and it was a SCAM!!!

Got a call from 972-000-0000.  They can call all they want and they're just going to get my answering machine.  Why all of a sudden are we getting weird calls from weird people?  "The Lord will recompense tribulation to those who trouble you."  I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.

I have gotten several calls from 0000 and from 718.841.6477.  A person with a thick Indian accent states that I owe money to Cash Advance or some company like that (can't understand because of the accent).  I need to get a lawyer and they are going to send the police to arrest me.  I have committed wire fraud, internet fraud etc...  I actually called back and stated that I have done research and that this is a scam and the person got agitated. I eventually hung up.  I am tired of the calls... now they are calling me at work.

i keep getting this call from this number 0000 but i dont answer it cuz for 1 its obviously a foreign number 2 common sense should tell you to not pick up the phone if u dont know who it is 3 if its not an american area code which 0000 does not have a area code any way dont pick it up common sense no reason fussing over it . dont pick up the phone if you have a problem instead of sitting down a typing these messages get up and do something about it. me on the other hand have all tne time in the  world

This has been going on with me for 2 years.  Numbers come out of India or over in that region.  It is just a scam.  They have tried it all with me.  Taking me to jail and they are a police officer etc.  However, I typically laugh because they have the most American names ever. "Joe Smith"  Don't fall for it like some people do.  It is actually kind of fun to mess around with them.

i do not answer any calls if i dont know the number. they left a message. heavy accent. could not understand. i think they want you to call back to ask them what did they say. do not answer calls it is a scam,scam,scam. they are so stupid to think that i am going to give them any money.

I have had several calls and when I answer they hang up. Starting to get on my nerves.

So...this guy has been calling me for a few days.  So far, he's threatened to kill me, rape me, and that he loves me.  Too weird.  I can't block this number and it's starting to piss me off.  Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions on how to stop these calls?  Caller says I owe money for some loan that I never took out....whatever.

I get these calls every once and a while, I usally make them so mad they hang up on me.. They keep telling me I am going to go to jail in California and I tell them I have had my bags packed from the last time they called and no one came to get me, I also tell them that if Lindsay Lohan only has to go to jail for 4 hours I wont even make it in the door with all the overcrowding they have.  By this time they are usually swearing at me and telling me all the nasty things you all have had and I just keep saying in a calm voice that they told me this last time and no one has shown up and I would like to file a complaint to their HR department on broken promises.  usually they hang up at this time and I do not hear back from them for at least 6 months. And when they call again I just keep saying I have been waiting since the last time they called me.

Dont let these idiots get under your skin. Have some fun with them, my goal is to get them to hang up on me and then I just mentally keep score for my own personal smile.  After a while they will stop calling you.

Yeah I got this call today after 4pm.  They kept calling 8 times and would not stop till I answered!  I cussed them out but if they call again I'll have some fun.  Was bout to change my number but I won't let them.  They hung up on me cuz i went off so bad on them. Stupid stuff!
