I've been getting calls from "+0000" a lot lately. The man on the other end is an indian man who is clearly reading a script. He screamed at me, demanding I put "Penny Bemhouse"(?) on the phone. I said he had the wrong number and to stop calling me. He called me a stupid [***] and proceeded to call me -14 times in a ROW-. He left two messages saying he was calling from a legal department and that if Penny Bemhouse doesn't call him back, he will send his legal team to my work to "Pull my hair and [***] on my face". He also said he will "see to it that I'm behind bars".

I had to call my service provider and change my phone number because of this [***].

I live in Indiana and this guy (thick Indiana accent) calling himself John Smith or something like that (totally fake name) said someone has filed a legal complaint against my name and SSn.  I hung up and said stop calling me.  He called RIGHT back and said why did you hang up on me?  I said because I don't want to talk to you. He said well this is a legal matter man.  So, I played into it and said what's my SSN then?  He gave me the last 4 and my bank account number!  Not the routing but the account number!  WTF?  He then said I got money from some online payday loan place (which is not true) and that I never paid them back and how do I want to take care of this?  I said I didn't owe anybody and stop calling!  How do these people get your info like that????

Got a call from these guys last week on my way back from my gf's parents house. they left a voicemail stating that the call was for myself, that the situation was looking grim and that if I didn't call back they wished me the best of luck. They called me back again later on when I was picking my kids up from school, and I answered. Tom something or other whose an "officer" for some agency that wants to collect a debt from me that I owe cashnet usa. After talking to these guys I contacted cashnet usa, no records of me on file AT ALL. Check my credit reports, nothing. So yesterday the calls started up again, got 8 calls from them within a few hrs. Now I've dealt with a few collection agencies in the past 2 yrs since my divorce, and none have acted as unprofessional as these fakers. I reported their number (callback and fax that they gave me) to cashnet usa, to my bank, and also to the company they are claiming to work for in regards to the collection. One of the main hints that clued me in (after I failed to realize what was going on.) was he wanted me to send a fax to them, with my statement of wanting to settle this out of court (part 1 of hint, never had a collection agency request that) and on the paper it needed to include my drivers license (part 2, they don't ask for it period). People like this are rediculous, and yes the accents were there with the american names. And got the call today, went off at them, dude was like "I'll pass u to my supervising officer, please hold" and it was literally a pass off. Heard the phone get passed over hand in hand. There was no hold.

Somebody needs to do something in regards to companies selling information, or even securing our information better on the internet, cause this is rediculous. I looked into loans a few years ago, but never took one out. And if I'd had, I would assume I would've heard from the company themselves first (as I have done with other companies I've had to pay back), which I never did.

I just got three calls from this number all in a row. It went to voicemail every time. Two times it was static and the third they just hung up. I want to know who this is so I can rip their throat out. I hate [***] who do this, just as much as the [***] who create computer viruses.

I have had this freakin' "0000" number call my cell twelve times in the past 48 hours! I answered it the first time and was told that they were a Real Estate Agency. I told them that I worked nights and could not accept calls during the day. I asked them to send me papers in the mail, and hung up. They called back within seconds. I answered again and cussed them, and turned my phone off. (I was tired!) Today, they called and we were at a friend's house. Our friend's thirteen year old answered the phone and played their game for about fifteen minutes.He told her the last four numbers of my SS# and said that I owe some payday loan place (wrong, it is illegal in my state.) Then, I took over-giving them H**L. My husband couldn't stand hearing the man yelling at me, and HE took the phone. This man finally got p****d and told my husband, "Your wife is a b***h. She is a w***e and sleeps with everyone in town!!!" Then he told my husband that I did sexual favors for some guy named Roger Frederick and that I owed the money back that he lent me!!!  My husband told him to take his Hindu lovin a** and go suck off an elephant. The caller was really offended (which was the point) and asked my husband when he would be at work, that he was coming to my house while he was gone! I have news for this red dot, I will SHOOT HIM with my 12 gague...Bring it!  WTF, where do they come up with this s**t??? I do not owe anyone. Next time they call, I will answer and sing them the Star Spangled Banner from start to finish!

Since I left my previous message on here, I have gotten several more calls from this number. There's a total of 9, and I'm sure more are on their way. I don't want to have to change my number, but I would like to answer the phone and record the conversation to use it against whoever this is. The damn phone call isn't even for me. I have gotten two voicemails where there is actually someone talking. It's a Hindu person, like everyone else is getting. Here's what he says:

"*clears throat* This message is intended for Melanie Scott. Melanie, from the second you receive this message, I need you or your .... (something about attorney)... to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Nathan Bluedge  and the hot line to my division is 760-566-6080. Again, 760-566-6080. Don't disregard this message, return the call. Now, Melanie, if you don't return the call, and I don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye."

I have looked up this number on reverse lookup on whitepages.com, but of course you have to pay for a name, and I'm not spending money on these [***]. I'd like to get them put in jail. I'm not Melanie, so stop calling my [***] phone. I've gotten numerous phone calls from collectors for Melanie, and I'm about to find this [***] and kick her ass too.

Compiling solid information and evidence against such offenders is the only way to put an end to the harassment.

I have been having the same number calling me for two days now. The first call was the exact same thing as the pay day loan thing. We just a couple minutes ago he called back and started talking about sexual favors and disgusting things. When my fiance got upset he took the phone and told him to F**K OFF and the guy then told him to suck his d**k. This is rediculous - How do i stop it? These people know my name and last four of my social.

yeh ive had the +0000 number ring me a few times at eactly 3.00am newzealand time but when i go to answer it always hangs up

Today is feb 8th, i have recieved a call from 0000 several times, the first few times i answered, no one said anything, then finally the fourth time i answered, some guy with a very thick indian accent started saying he was an officer and there was a legal claim against me. WHATEVER, I'm the most up right law abiding person, who pays there bills on time , and causes harm to no one, this is a serious scam, but what's so funny about it is that they are so bad at it, they need to get it together and come accross more professionally, oh, and further more.....loose the indian accent

Received calls from this number tons of times....Says his name is John Gibson and to call him or have my attorney...pretty much what other posters are stating.  But at the end he said I wish you luck when this situations unfolds...goodbye and I wish your little kids better luck. WTFFFFFFFFFF  How do they know this info....it feels threatening.  Another message....its was someone screaming...WHAT, WHAT, SHUT UP....AS I WAS SAYING.  Then they hung up.  I am going to answer it 2morrow....

I have been called on my home telephone today 09 Feb 2011 at 6:08pm by 000000000 which is very strange number and hanged up immediately after I have picked it up. Please help what kind of number is this?????

Got a call from a guy with a very thick Indian accent and alot of background noise telling me that my husband was approved for an auto loan!!!  Funny, because we haven"t applied for one...  I told him that we could care less about an auto loan and he began using not so nice language with me.  They have called me 10 times in 2 days!!!!

same i got a call from 0000 today and when i answered there was just static then it was cut off

I got 5 calls from them yestersday at 5 am. First off i bitched this guy out and hung up. The same guy called back and was wanting to talk to my boyrfriends brother. (Which i still dont understand how he got my number) he kept saying it was a legal matter and that i should take his number down. First off why would you call me from a 0000 number and second off why wont you tell me the legal matter. Again i hung up and he called right back so i bitched him out again saying its 5 in the morning and he said well its not here in a indian accent so i told him ( i was being kinda mean) well i dont live in abe dabe land but here in america where i live its 5 am and then i asked him for his name and here is the kicker... he said his name was Edward Cullen.... haha so i promptly said the only Edward Cullen i know off is from twilight and hung up again. Then like i thought he called back and my boyfriend answered and bitched him out and we turned off my phone. I laughed so hard and i knew if it was soooooo important they would of called from a real number. And also all those people working at call centers.... PICK A BETTER NAME hahahahha

I also have been receiving these calls from 0000. The guys name might be Martin, or something like that. He says he is a lawyer calling from a law firm that is friling a law suit against me. WTH?????
Anyway I just ignore the calls, but now they're harassing my family too. So I've contacted Clark Howard's team, and hope they can put a stop to this creep, and maybe lock him up too!!!!

I think they also have a 516 number, this comes up sometimes when the guy leaves a message.
