So these people call me bright and early everyday. Today I decided to call back, they said they were from a company called First State Attorney and that i had taken a payday loan that I never took then proceeded to say that the sheriff would be serving me papers tomorrow. I guess I will wait until they serve me these "papers" Also the person had a very thick accent and was very rude

I've received 12 calls within a 2-hour period from 0000.  The foreign man claims my social security number has been charged with some illegal activity.  I am to call a 347 number to talk to the officer in charge of my account.  I can't block this number through my phone service because it's not a 10-digit number.  He's left 3 voice mails with the same message.  The rest of the calls have been missed calls.  It's just annoying, and I'm ready to change my phone number if these calls can't be blocked!

I just got two phone calls from this number back to back the first time it called I answered and I let mr roger something know I had already reported him for calling me earlier in the day to the bbb and he said you can't report me I said owe yes I can and did and hung up on him I know its another one of those scams cuz the guy could barley speak english. I'm just waiting for him to call again cuz I know he will and I'm not gonna be so nice this next time these people need to stop

i been getting these call for a week then today the guy that works were i live said that there was two cop cars and a cop at my door today but iwas not home

that happened to me today to and i know i dont owe anybody anything

Hey everyone..I myself got a call from these Indian people yesterday! my phone said 0000.  Ive gotten these calls in the past year, but I never did answer, yesterday I did answer, and the first thing he said was "do you have an attorney?" bla..bla..bla..then he said he would let me speak to his supervisor, and when he got on the phone it sounded like the exact same guy with the wierd accent.  He told me the same thing he told everyone else (I could only understand an little bit).  He said I could pay him the $500 somthing amount now or go to court and pay $7000.00 or more! he has my SSN. he has my bank name, and he has my account number at my bank!  He said they deposited money in my account, and when they went to get it out, the money wasn't there, so now I have a lawsuit and i'm going to court, and that there will be police show up at my house today (he had my address) and arrest me!  I couldn't sleep all night because of this..They have all my personal information, and I am really scared.  I didn't steal anyones money, I work hard for my money just like everyone else, I just don't understand how they are getting away with this...why haven't they been stopped?  I feel sorry for the people who actually gave them money!  Yesterday, I thought this was real and I was all alone in this, but now I know all of yall are going through the exact same thing.

i'm having the same problem can someone give me the numbers that i need to call to report this , i've already called my phone company they just offred to change my phone number for free lol but they are calling my job every five minutes.

I have had these same calls EXACTLY...I asked them to send me proof they deposited money into my account (which they have the account # I have since closed that accout).  They said they could not as that would be considered defamation of character.  I repeated for them to PROVE that I owe them money and I would pay it.  Of course I do not owe it, so there is nothing to pay.  I blocked their number which has had several different numbers (772-245-2107 & 646-571-3386) and now this 0000 number.  I refuse to answer any numbers that I don't know anymore.  Including 800 #'s.  By the way, each number came with a different name but seems to me it is the same person.  All with the same accent & message; call or have your atty call yada yada...I DON'T THINK SO.  I did that once....people that posted about the other numbers I listed have actually paid them and they are out the money.  What is this world coming to?

Yeah i knew it was strange for a number to show up as "0000" so i didn't answer it. I let the voice mail pick it up if it was important. I just the voice mail, a lady's voice with African accent trying to read off a script, about me needing to call my attorney, funny. The lady calls herself Julia Smith, and tries to get me to call (661)213-9237. Obviously, if i call the number it would from another country, where they can charge me outrageous fees just for call for a few minutes. Folks don't get suckered in. Don't call it!

To those jobs hunters, when you sign up to apply for jobs, the information can be founds by anyone including those in other countries. They will take you number and name to manipulate you into calling a fake number. When you call this fake number you get charged a lot of money just for a minute. Your phone company can not do a thing about it because it is over seas. You end up paying out of your pocket. Pass the information on.

I also got the oooo phone call from James Mead also very threatening that I'll be pick up for jail #6612139237 also called they even called my job.

My hotmail account was comprimised and shortly after I began to receive phone calls from 0000 from an Officer James White saying I had three cases against my name and ss number.  Said I owed a loan company, once I denied payment, caller began to shout obscenities through the phone.  Called non-emergency number they transferred me to fradulent helpline, I was told to tell the caller that the phone call is being recorded for police purposes in an ongoing investigation.  They stopped calling for about a month then began to call my work number constantly which eventually was going to make me get fired, because company is saying I used the number for personal business.  Don't answer any calls from 0000 or 661-347-6372 call police and take record of everything.

I have recieved anywhere from 7 calls a day from the last month. The person will not identify who they represent and speak with a thick Indian accent. While in the past they have called from 330 numbers; they recently started calling from 911 which displays as "Emergency Number". I spoke to local authorities who advised me to contact my cell phone provider to possibly backtrack the number to a source. My provider was unable to do so but I encourage everyone to try through their provider. This seems to be a nation wide issue and is a possible phishing scam. The best thing to do is try to get their information and report it to local authorities. The issue is that if it is an outsourced call center in a different country then there is little they can do unless the parent corporation is located within the Continental United States (Conus). The only other option is to have your number changed.

Here is a list of all the numbers they have called me from so far. Keep in mind these are only the calls I have tracked for the last two weeks; they have been calling myself and my wife on two seperate numbers for about three months.

Ok, after my last post I received another call from 866-226-3380 with a gentleman named Herman as you all have stated above. I told him unless they were all named herman to stop calling.. I have read your posts and have come to this conclusion... They use information you provide via the internet regarding credit and bank history and then throwing a name of one of the companies you have used and say that you owe them money. Disregard any and all calls from these people.

Got a call again today and on the caller id it shows 0000, but they leave a message saying it is a very important legal matter and that if i do not return there call someone will be at my door the next day to take me to court. I still have yet to go to court or have someone come to my door. The number they left for me to return there call today was  6612139240, and it was a guy by the name david williams. Yesterday the number was 661 347 4669 and the guy was James franklen. They wont stop calling and I am getting really annoyed with them. They are rude when you answer the phone and they don't give out any information as to who is suing you and if you ask anything they just say they need your credit card information so they can take the money you owe directly out of your account. Don't fall for it, it's a SCAM!!!

I have been getting these calls for weeks now. They say I need an attorney or I'll be brought up on a civil lawsuit if I don't pay them 1500. For some loan company I never heard of. I finally answered the call and it was an Indian guy. He started using the F word and other obsene words I finally hung up on him. It stopped for a while. They just started again today. How can I stop this craziness???

THATS THE NUMBER HE GAVE ME! well part of it anyone he said he couldnt disclose the information unless i was the person they were calling for. WTH?? I hung up in his face after asking him where hes calling from he said cali and i asked him why didnt his number show he couldnt answer. so i hung up. I have no idea why they called me.
