25/02/2011 19.15. Call from David (Indian sounding accent), claiming to be a Microsoft engineer, having received a complaint that my computer was slow to connect to the internet, etc etc. Said he was told by my ISP, but when asked could not say who my ISP is. Gave contact details 575 Madison Avenue, New York 10022, 0800-011-2801, www.livetechcare.com. I told him I did not believe his story. Website gives contact address as  KE-32, Kavi Nagar, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh-201002, India.

Just had a call from this number and keep getting them.  Say there is a problem with my computer. Tell him I haven't got a computer. Says someone in your house is using one. I said it must be my goldfish coming in and using one. He hung up.  Say you have got an apple computer and they hang up straight away. Tried this once and it worked.

Called just after 1 pm 4/6/11 - and not the first time by a long way!  I suspect it's someone trying to get me to spend money re-programing my computer.

Just received a call from 0000000, and so on, claiming to be from Microsoft. They stated that my PC was infected with "thousands of viruses and things" and "is dangerous"(?). They offered to fix it if I gave them my Admin PW! I said shove it up your (insert here) and hung up. Very annoying.

I had a call from this number today (second time) telling me my computer was showing error reports etc. I have had similar calls from an 0280 number and I know it is a con. I don't know where these latest calls come from them.

I used to have these consistently, daily. Annoying as i work at home a lot. An indian chap normally telling me my computer has viruses and is badly infected. Im well up on computers and they cant identify any part of said computer system, windows version, anything. Its outrageous and they often end up calling me a fool, which is nice. My wife tried the 'hello , xxxxx police department' was worth a laugh. Ive tried all sorts, they go away for a week or two, then come back. I ended up getting a truecall box, like a phone firewall. Works for me, bit expensive, but as i work from home i couldnt bear these utter morons disturbing me all the time. TPS is innefective with overseas calls, and they laugh if you mention them.

they leave a very suspect voicemail where you can here other voices in the background telling the person on the phone what to say.  it is never in english and it is just funny because it is a prank/scam but at the same time annoying bc the calls come in all the time same time of day.

Just started today getting about a half dozen 00000000 calls, no one there on the line so after the first 2 times I stopped answering.  I hope they get tired of calling me.  I would not give anyone any information anyway so I don't know how they think they will scam people.  I think people are smart enough these days to not give out personal information to people they don't know.

Just had a call from an African/Indian about my 'Windows computer@! Told them we have a Mac (we don't!). and he was surprised. Asked him to remove my name from their list, as we do not need their help, thank you, and he said he would do so 'Ok, mam!'. Hope he does!
When we have had these calls in the past asking if I am mrs X, I have just said, 'No', and they have immediatley put the phone down! They are a pest!
