Had the same thing.  Always asking if I knew I could get a grant for cavity wall / loft insulation.
Each time they call I get to say something but if its not what they want to hear they hang up.

Last time I hung up on them and they rang back!

I just got the 0-000-0000 caller id call and they said my computer had errors and they were from Microsoft tech support and my computer was sending them error messages.  This East Indian voice guy wanted me to go and download a program ( in hind sight i wish i would have got the web site) so he could fix my computer from his end with a link-up. I told him I was a computer programer and laughed at him, he hung up on me promptly.  About 3 weeks ago my Aunt had the same phone call but she is the type of person that has problem making capital letters on the computer.  Well she did what they asked and it was a good thing they dont use the computer for any thing that has to do with money but they are criminals and should dealt with.

keep getting these calls from this number.  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize so I don't know if its a salesperson or debt collectors or what.  I thought I was on a no-call list.  apparently not.

Just had a call from these people - the company name sounded like "Iktak" - knew my name and full address, asked me to confirm it.  I used my 89-yr-old mother's new trick "sorry, she's out.  no I'm not a family member.  I just came in to feed the cat".  When I refused to confirm the address and asked to know what it was about so I could "leave a message" he muttered somthing then when I asked him to repeat it it went crackly and then cut off at the crucial part.

    I then called 1477 to log it as a "malicious call" - I'm TPS-registered

I answered this call since they've tried several times to contact me. Caller was an Indian sounding man saying he was from Verizon, and wanted to tell me about discounts on future bills or something (hard to understand). It didn't sound right, and he was getting rude, I hung up.  Just so happens I recently received what Verizon says is a "cramming" charge on my bill for $100. The company was great and removed the charge, and block future "cramming".  Apparantly, someone calls you to try to get you to agree to something, and then they "cram" a charge onto your bill, saying you authorized it by phone. Total fraud.

I have just had this number contact me stating that my computer has a hidden virus, and to turn on my computer and he would run through it with me, I got suspicious and decided to cut the telephone conversation short, not sure where he was leading with it, but I am certain that money was going to come into it somewhere.
