i've started receiving these calls today - i've had 5 already

i've answered them all first out of curiosity and the others to be removed of there list.

So far i've had both male and female callers who sound british to me asking for someone called mrs Jenkins - who has never lived at my address.

I am called sometimes three times aday .They don"t say names.I just see a00000number calling .I would like to know who it is.

they call me all the effen time and they never leave messages and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one recieving these calls bc I was worried it was something serious that I might have been ignoring. I don't answer calls I don't recognize especially numbers like:0000000000 or whatever and like every entry, its eith automated voice message that cuts off or nothing at all. I just ignore the calls and delete my message. Its a pain and an inconvenience but it wont stop! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...how did they get my #!!!!???!!!

they own a debt management company called ONEDEBT. stay away this is all fruad, they own a call centre in india and operate under different names tho its all linked to harish parmar

They keep calling me and bugging me .

Somehow they know my moms name. They keep asking for her.

Caller. Can we speak to...
Me. Can I ask who's speaking?
Caller. Is ... Available
Me. Can I ask who's speaking?
Caller. They said something I couldn't hear.
Caller. Is .. Available.
Me. No.
Caller. Hang up.

These guys are rude. Earlier it was a guy now it was a girl . What the heck is going on..

Boxing Day and this caller has rang twice. I answered the phone on both occasions but each time the phone went dead. 1471'd it and got all the zeros. Checked for number on this site. From other comments does not seem to be worth reporting it to BT.

i got a called from 00000000 they are really stupid, i don`t know what to do, they call everyday, sometimes they invite music, sometimes no sound on the other side of the phone
i`m tired of eight zeros, i told them to stop calling , sometimes i switch off my cellphone not to receive such call

Mum got a few of these calls over Xmas. Luckily (!) we both had flu so had the phone unplugged. Will advise her to put the phone down immediately. Thanks for all the comments - have given me some good ideas should I answer and it's them....

Just had a call from this number. Who do you complain to??

Also getting calls from another number if the answer phone takes the call it is is a automated  voice who reels of a series of number for about five minutes.

Anyone else had these calls

All the various comments are interesting, BUT WHO DO WE COMPLAIN TO?
Whoever runs this site, please answer that question.

The 0800 number claims not to be responsible - as does the 01162 number (both 'free' to me).
I have no intention of wasting money on the other two numbers.

Anyone out there, apart from the afore mentioned site owner, with useful information?

I've just had two for the first time tonight, the first time i answered and it was hung up. TPS is a complete waste of time, the phone companies shoulld do a lot more to stop this. I should not have to pay to stop calls i don't want, the first company that blocks unwanted calls effectively and without charging will get my business straight away. It is extremely annoying and worrying onstantly getting all these unwanted calls.

I received a call from VO2111138390002/00000000 four days ago and today, a call from Out of Area 00000000.  I didn't answer the first but answered today.  No foreign accent in the voice who spoke.  Knew my name.  Said he was from Medicare Diabetic Supplies and had info that someone in my household has Diabetes.  I said no.  He asked if any of my children would like education funds.  I said no.  He asked if any of my children were under 45 years of age.  I said no.  He said, "Thank you for your time.  Have a good day.  God bless you."  Nothing annoying about the call but I imagine that such a number would not be traceable.  I guess that if someone was interested in education funds, a request for info would be made.

it is a political call from some action network that doesn't have the guts to use their real number and wanting to connect you to senator kit bond to tell him how to vote.

I received a call from this number on 19 Feb 2010. It sounded as if it had come from India. The caller knew my name and said that he wanted to speak to me about problems with my computer. I put the phone down on him.

I am also ex directory and with TPs  so  can i report them ?

I've had this number call several times this week.  I have caller ID so never answer a call unless it shows a known number.  Sometimes it shows a row of dashes - number withheld.  No problem with either.  If the call is important, they should/will leave a messsage .  Never had a problem this way and whoever calls gives up after some weeks so their hard luck!  I'm also on the TPS and the MPS and I'm STILL getting junk mail and calls so I actually wonder in this age of technology why they haven't managed to prevent these from coming in.  Oh...and I nearly forgot to mention the spam emails!!!
