This number calls me once a week from Texas USA.

I got a call from this number today. In fact, they are frequent callers. David's advice below is good, unfortunately it has not yet worked for me- but I'm hoping it will i.e. I never say a word and they hang up. I wish our government were far more proactive in setting up structures that allowed their citizens to report nuisance international callers and to prevent them from being called at random times of the day. At the back of every number in the world is someone who is paying for that number - or a company that has a named owner who is paying for that number. Why are they not traced and prevented? I see that this number has been intruding into European citizens' lives since 2008!

Called today ( didn't answer) at 1130...quite obviously a scam after reading comments on here...wish they'd bugger off!

I never answer international calls and there are 5 unanswered calls on my landline log from this number so these parasites are very persistent.

I've suffered a big surge in nuisance calls in the last week. The number of times I have to go to the phone to look at the number phoning only to elect to ignore it is getting to be a ridiculous distraction and significant time waster.
The telcos/regulators/politicians seem totally disinterested in this plague, presumably because they are either benefiting from the vile trade,  or they live on a totally different planet to the rest of us, protected from the real world by a wall of minders/advisors/PR people/yes men.

So it's time to shell out for a call blocker. What a pity I'm not in a position to claim it as a deductible business expense.

Oh - there goes the phone again...

Indian-sounding voice claiming to be the Accident Helpline. I was expecting the usual speel about a non-existent car accident, but she hung up after our initial "How are you" - "Fine thanks."

This number called me on my mobile yesterday (12/09/2014). Since I didn't recognize the caller, did not answer it. No messages were left. Same number had called me on my land line a few days ago.

It's a big club ...

Got call from this number today (16/09/2014) i'm in UK, this call according to Apple/3 apparently came from Texas, USA! Did not answer...obviously.

Called just now. Silent call!

Received a call from this number.
They didn't leave a message.

The caller ID is obviously fake.
But, strangely enough, if the initial and final zero is removed, it yields a valid UK number which also seems to have a history of making unsolicited cold calls ..

It a telemarketing scam number from new York I'm led to believe

The call is from overseas.    You will need to block it.

Live in UK Had lots of calls wont answer them.. I know no-one in Texas USA, that's where its coming from !

Got a call on my mobile today from 0012102490540. Comes up as Texas Usa. I ignored the call and have now blocked the caller.

Called this evening. I didn't answer. Registered as an International call.

Just called me today 11/11/2014. Did'nt answer, probably crooks by the looks of things. (UK)

Called by this number yesterday on my business line. Asian sounding lady asked foir me by name and said she was from Family Something and wanted to ask me some questions. I told her I didn't answer questions or participate in surveys and would she please remove me from her calling list.

She totally ignored what I said and in the end I had to become very firm.

Obviously a spoofed number.

Yep, they jay called me too, so they are still active after all these years!

Didn't answer. They waited for the answer machine to play then hung up. I'm supposed to be registered with the TPS. That doesn't appear to mean anything.
