Report a phone call from 0012102490540 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- jane| 1 replyHad a call from this number today 0012102490540 no idea who it is .
- Steve| 1 replyGot a call 5mins ago did not answer it looks dodgy
- roscoeGot a call from this number this morning at 11- 15 am. Seems to be of American origin. I never answered as it looks a bit iffy!!!. Another scam call no doubt. BTW I live in Scotland.
- Henry WoodCall from 0012102490540 which was a recorded message about replacing windows in the house. (Makes a change from Windows scammers). I've had this same message before from different numbers so it's obviously a phishing/sales ploy looking for something. Anyhoo, this number is now also blocked along with the rest of them.
Incidentally, I have been inundated with calls over the past 10 days or so though most of them have been blocked by my call-blocker and I only find out about them at night on the caller display when setting the cordless phone on to recharge. I'm just wondering why there has been such an upsurge in the numbers of nuisance calls?- Call type: Telemarketer
- Henry Wood replies to marie| 4 repliesHi Marie,
I don't know what makes you think the posts to these pages are scams? The vast majority are from people like yourself who have been bothered with nuisance calls of one sort and another and while it does not stop the calls by reporting them here, it possibly puts other peoples minds at rest when they see they are not being specially picked on by these nuisance callers.
And it goes without saying that it would be unwise to email anyone posting on such public forums. - DeejayHad a call from this number at 1.42pm today while I was out. I wouldn't have answered it anyway.
- Caller: ?
- raminskithese [***] called me today , auto mail voice , hello we are calling you to to alert you to a kitchen scrapage scheme.....
What more ideas can these pricks come up with, they want blown up and then we can get a scrapage cleaning up their bits.- Caller: YA.COM I think
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ValdaI live in Cheshire, I didn't answer this call. In the past few weeks I have been inundated with junk calls. It should be illegal to do this kind of cold calling.
- Caller: I didn't answer
- JBTPGot a call from this number at 7.10pm on Friday 31/01/'14, as soon as I heard it was a recording I hung up, but I would rather have 2minutes in a darkened room when I could explain and show them what (in an ideal world) should really happen to these 'phone pests!!
- MachlonIt seems the last time this number was used was back in 2008, but I have had 3 calls in the last two days. I don't know who they are, but the 001 at the beginning is a bit of a give away to being an unsolicited call. I just press the hands free answer to stop the ringing annoyance, and then hang up after they hang up. This should at least run their bill up.
- SusieI googled ya.com it came up orange phone in Spanish
- Pammy| 1 replyThis company keep phoning me with a pre recorded message which starts of telling me of government initiatives to replace windows with A rated windows. Today I listened to the message which asks you to press 8 if you wish to be removed from their calling list. I of course pressed this but some time ago I had the same kind of phone calls telling me of government scrappage scheme for something else (kitchens I think). Have also had similar for solar panels; insulation etc etc!!! I am sick of getting these recorded messages and know that previously, pressing the appropriate number to get them to stop calling just doesn't work. They do not give a name but number 0012102490540 keeps showing up when I do 1471 to see who was calling. Anyone got a solution to stop this annoyance?
- Caller: Don't know
- Call type: Telemarketer
- roscoeTwo calls from this number today, the last one at 14-40 . Hung up when I lifted the phone, damned annoying.
- D.RSeveral calls from this number lately. I live in the UK so it seems they have spread whatever scam they
are up to. Beware !!! - NatalieLive in the UK. This number phones every day and the line is always dead.
- Henry Wood replies to PammyHi Pammy, there is a solution though it costs a few pounds. I use a Call Blocker purchased from Amazon UK and it has put an end to all unsolicited calls. Occasionally a new number gets through but a single button press adds them to the blacklist. At the end of each day I check my caller display on the phone handset and usually find up to half a dozen callers from these scammers have tried to reach me but the phone hasn't rung once. Call Blockers are also generally available elsewhere from the likes of Argos etc.
What I cannot understand is, if independent companies can offer this type of machine for sale, why don't all UK phone line suppliers do the same. - MarieI keep getting several silent calls per day from this number. After I answer there is a long silent pause before they hang up. I am in the UK but notice they have been moving from country to country with this scam.
- BebbingtonThey call me 4 and 5 times a day. I am disabled, getting to the phone is a pain. There has to be a way of stopping them.

- AllahAkbar| 2 repliesRecorded message regarding Windows Scrappage Scheme using 0012102490540. Options to either opt in or opt out however opting out never stops the calls. To find out the company behind this cold calling technique I opted in. Later, same evening, I received Withheld call from call centre informing me about the scheme and how many windows required changing. They stated an Energy Advisor would call to give a no obligation survey and quote. On agreeing to this an appointment was made for a Weatherseal Glazing representative (Salesman) to attend. Great, now I know it is Weatherseal Double Glazing company behind these annoying telephone calls. At the appointed time the salesman called looking for directions to my address as he was close by. At that point I informed him I was registered with TPS and gave him short lecture before he hung up, not happy!
This is 4th time this company has used this cold calling technique to try and gain access to my house. The call centre they use obviously does not adhere to the regulations set out regarding cold calling. So the best way to fight back against these pesky cold callers wasting our time is to string them along and waste their time.
Above number also reported to http://ico.org.uk/complaints/marketing/31- Caller: Weatherseal
