I have started receiving these calls, I am also on Orange contract, are they selling customers details on.

Obviously a scam, I am also at the same time receiving dropped calls from a 0845 number which when you phone back says it is HSBC, but it isnt.

I believe when you phone the numbers you are being charged.

Damn, got hit with a missed call from this number, googled it and came across this site. I'm pretty sure it's a scam. I await their next call, I'll be sure to keep them on the line for awhile. By the way I'm on 3 so it's not just an orange thing.

Hiya. I had a missed call from this number at 9.05 this morning. Im not ringnig it back as it might charge alot of money to do so. I am on 3 so as others are saying its not just orange. If it continues I shall report it too my phone provider which is what I think everyone should be doing. I never answer to calls if I dont know the number but I might pick up next time!!

I recieved a call from this number on the 20th April 2009 at around 10.30am, all I can say is, I don't know how they got my number or my full name, but some [***] or indian woman asking to do a survay for regarding the national currency or something, all I know is that this number is bad news for anyone who does not want to be called by cold callers, I said i'm sorry but i'm currently do not want to participate in any survey and I am extremely busy and hung up.

....Oh yeah and for thoses who from orange, I got this call on my hutichin 3 phone which is a pay monthly which is owned by my father, therefor, it's in my fathers name, but they refered me to my first, so it must of be some internet computer that gave it out because they didn't ask for David, but Mark.

I just got a missed call from this and am on Orange...i never answer calls from numbers I do not know anyway and always hope they will leave a message -

Also got a missed call from this number about an hour ago.  I'm also contracted with Orange, but did put my number into an on-line Capial FM competition a few weeks ago.  Could there be a leak at Capital?  Didn't phone it back as it looks like a scam or cold call.  Thank god for Google!!!!

got a phone call from this number today at 10am too, though didn't answer as i didnt recognize it. On 3, pay as you go. So many people receiving calls from this number... an internet thing/conspiracy theory will be created around this soon :P fortunately they don't tell you "seven days" ...hope no one has been watching mysterious videotapes.

I got a call from this no, since I dont know any one with this No I did not answer it.when I check this no it seem someone from africa had called me.

i got miss call from this number but am suspected its the other way of scam, so be careful for these kind of international number. its more specifically came on orange numbers, so you should have to confirm to orange as whether your details is still safe with them.......

I too have received a phone call from this number today at just after 12:00.
Thanks to this website i know not to call them back, i always check numbers i don't recognise here and it serves as a good place to see if it's just me being targetted or if it is a widespread problem.
I too am on Orange monthly contract, however i never got these problems before i changed my contract to a cheaper monthly cost...

I just got this on my mobile today... i tried calling it before I checked on the internet and it said number not avaliable...
I am not on Orange... In fact Im with O2??

Recieved a call at 1633 today. Am with orange and checked with them about my details potentially being given to other companies.  The bloke said this doesn't happen but he's taken my number off the directory (didn't know it was in a directory) so shouldn't get any more calls like this.

This number called my mobile - did not answer as I do not have any connections in South Africa. If they try to call again - I certainly will report this to the police.

I got a call from this number about 10 mins ago. Ddn't answer as didn't know the number. Am also on Orange.

I definitely think its a scam.  I suspect the moment you pick up someone is getting paid alot of money via Barbados or something.   Remember, if you have a mobile phone and you pick up a call from abroad you will be charged for it, even if it is not a bogus scam and it can be quite expensive, so if this is a bogus scam, and I bet it is, if you pick up the call you might receive a bill itemising that call at anything up to £100 or more!!!...so dont pick it up!  As for who is giving out your number...think of any site where you have given your mobile number in the past.......its the recession now and those same sites you gave out your contact number as your mobile are desperate and will probably be selling your number (and any other id you gave out) to just about anybody for a few bucks:-(...so be careful.

just got a call from this number 20 mins ago, relieved to hear im not the only. started to panic cos my wife, daughter and mother in law are in turkey and could'nt get any of them on the phone, at least i know now it's not from turkey. but it is anoying, phone rang twice and they hung up before i got to answer it.
