Call came through on my mobile. No idea who it is. Any thoughts?

I got called three times today from 00971557680924.

similar number but, as I didn't take the calls I do not know who this is, or where from.

I received several call in the middle of the night from 00971554973246.
Very upset by that (4.00 am is unacceptable!).
I really want to know how this person got my number, and what it is about. Calls repeated for the past 3 nights!

I also received a call with a 0097 number today, where the person talked English and i self live in the Netherlands, a woman told me that i had problems on my computer, and i may cause bsod's which will make me lose my important files, she told me to follow her instructions on my computer to prevent it from happening, but first of all she told me that i had windows 7, when i have windows 8.. that my username was "sweet john" when i dont even have a john in my family...

so i didnt trust it at all.. i told her i could deal with this kind of problems my self, and then she quicky hang up.

i think that if you follow her steps, she wil somehow get access to you computer and may steal some passwords, or bank acces.. So dont do anything unless you know WHO they are and WHAT they are about to do.

I got a call from +971501442441 to Norway. The person, a male, spoke English, but it was quite impossible to hear what he said, so I just hang up. Anyway, it was kid of weird to get such a phone.

0097 is an incomplete country code.

00971 is the country code for Dubai followed by 55 for du mobile or 50 for etisalat mobile.

Your telephony provider should be able to block these calls.

Vandaag om 12.25 uur werd ik opgebeld door nummer 0097482013. Toen ik dit op google intypete zag ik meer mensen die door dat landennummer werden gebeld. Waar komt dit vandaan en wat willen deze mensen? Als je de telefoon opneemt en nje zegt je naam hangen ze meteen op.

Ik werd gisteren 2x gebeld door dit nummer en wist ook niet wat precies de bedoeling was. In ieder geval werd gevraagd om toestemming aan hem te geven om op mijn PC ergens naar te kunnen gaan kijken. Vaag verhaal. Volgens mij had het te maken met een probleem met Windows. Ik vertrouwde het niet, dus ik ben daar niet verder op ingegaan. Klaarblijkelijk ben ik niet de enige.

Vandaag werden wij ook gebeld door 0097  12179508. Er werd gevraagd iets over de computer. Reeds eerder hebben wij dit mee gemaakt waardoor wij direct hebben opgehangen. Goeds is dit natuurlijk niet en het lijkt mij logisch dat je hier niet op in gaat. Voordat je het weet hebben je je PC gehackt of iets anders waardoor er prive informatie naar buiten komt. ADVIES >>>>DIRECT OPHANGEN !!!!!

Direct ophangen is niet nodig, maar NOOIT iets met je PC doen, daar gaat het ze om!

we also received several calls from this number (wich by the way is from India) We have al our services from UPC telephone, tv and internet. We know that UPC is connected with India for several services. We are wondering if this is in some way connected to eachother. Are some of you also customers of UPC. Is this is the case please let me know!!!! By the way sometimes we get several calls a day or week!!!

By the way. We already talked to the police about this and they advised us to report is to www.fraudehelpdesk.nl

in bad english someone told me she was a windows expert.
i didn't trust it so i hung up.

I have the same problem she called me on 06:30  today ! with the number 0097482013.

It's calles fishing in the Netherlands; they are trying to gain access on to you're computer and steal personal information like codes, bankaccount numbers etc. Just hang up.

The same problem. Don't answer the call.
